- Longtime Deering Banjo artist "Mean Mary" James stopped by our shop and played some tunes for us. Here she is playing her original instrumental tune "Snowy" with her brother Frank James accompanying her on guitar. Mary is playing a Deering Goodtime Blackgrass 5-string banjo.

Watching her pick after finding out about her car accident at a younger age is just amazing. Shows how human spirit and dedication can overcome many hits at life. You two playing is awesome to watch.
