From a purely physical perspective, the Unifi is one of the slimmest and least intrusive looking. With that said, I am a little sick of Unifi not getting their act together with mDNS and IPv6 and I am seriously considering going to TP Link Omada. This is a great little comparison video. I run Omada for two years now. It's still buggy and when you adopt a router or switch it still remove several advanced features when compared to their own hardware when implemented standalone. Not mentioning a weird Wifi6 speed cap bug bellow 400 mbps that is live for a year now.
Good to sharing . can tplink omda implement enterprise wifi solution? Meaning that we provide wifi access big open space like weeding hall n big event many thousand user using wifi access. Thanks is advanced.
For that number of people Omada wouldn’t be my first choice but it would be possible. You would need some 10G switches and a very good router plus a lot of Access Points.

I’m looking for a prosumer range to setup at home with more advance management as in VLANS etc. From your experience between HP Aruba Instant Access (not instant on) & Unifi , which one offers greater control over managing your WiFi / Network ? I’ve seen users complain about Ubiquity’s software updates giving issues along with WiFi speed issues vs Aruba / Ruckus AP’s . Thanks in advance
Unifi used to have quite a few bugs but not it is pretty solid. As long as you use a controller it is certainly a much cheaper alternative to Rukus and Aruba and mostly just as reliable. Thanks for watching!

Hi, Select ‘connected clients’ on the dash board. You’ll see a list. If you select the clients it will tell you which network or SSID they are connected to. Huw

Great Video! I love the detail explanations. I was set on going with the U6+ for my home, but the speed test sort of shot down my drive for it. Now I am leaning towards the EAP670. Would you have any idea why the speed was sub par compared to the others?
Glad you enjoyed it 😊 Without a controller and with the default settings the AP didn’t have much of a chance to find the best settings. When configured correctly they are normally pretty solid. I was quite surprised to be honest but we never use Standalone mode tbh.

Hi, in this video the purpose was just to test them out the box in standalone mode as an inexperienced person would do. It would definitely be possible to get better speeds from the Ubiquiti by increasing the channel width and ensuring the optimal channels are being used etc.

The default on Ubiquiti APs is 40, that's why out of the box you get those speeds. Usually all other products I've played with, the default is 80. I'm a bit concerned with the RMA process... 5 weeks is crazy! I'd rather buy a new one which is literally a next day delivery if they have them in stock that is... Really crazy stuff. Hopefully I won't have to use the RMA process.
This is exactly why a video can be completely misleading, out of the box the U6+ is configured with 40MHz channel width on 5 GHz band, I know that for sure because I have installed a few, I bet the others are on the 80MHz spectrum, and that is exactly why you have the difference in speeds.

The intention of this video is to make a comparison of the APs setup in the most basic out the box way which is how many self installers would do it. There is much more that can be done with Ubiquiti to improve speeds but it takes a bit more know how.

Yes, Ubiquiti’s software if far more stable than it was in previous years. Very few issues these days.
FYI, the HPE Aruba InstantON AP25 model has a Flush Mount Sleeve option P/N R9B36A which will look much better!
Yes, but I think they make the Access Point look quite chunky.

Did you also use HE80? I had a similar problem because HE40 was set.

the thing about unifi AP's is that they are so cheap that you just keep a few hot spares
They are cheap, but in fairness all these models are pretty cheap.
