    She did juice fasting, then water fasting.
    She jogged.
    She walked. Low impact cardio. 1 hour a day.
    One day she would walk or jog, not both.
    She would do a fast 2 days out of the week. (This jump started her metabolism).
    Then she would eat very healthy for the rest of the week, mostly fruits and vegetables.
    She had a full rest day at least once a week, sometimes more if she listened to her body.

    I’ve water fasted 14 days straight before it was hard but I love it.

    But, I’m about to start doing this cardio …like now !! Lol

      This will not work for me I have an extremely slow and damaged metabolism because I starved myself for years and years since a young age now even if I don’t eat anything for an entire week I don’t lose weight also juice is high in calorie and it will spike insulin and blood sugar for me anything makes me gain weight even water even starving myself doesn’t work anymore nothing does

  • @hollywont9447

    Excellent video!
    Autophagy kicks in during a strict water fast, which is your body recycling old cells and killing bad ones. People only dry fast to speed that up (1 day dry = 3 days water). Adding a tiny bit of Pink Himalayan salt in the water replenishes the electrolytes you lose during a water fast and helps with the nauseous feeling some experience. I did before I learned this trick. I only juice fast a day before a 48 or 72 hour water fast. Once you get through 2 fasts, your body will adjust and it gets easier. Like she said, walking is easy on the body, don’t go hard lol. Maybe Pilates or light weight training; very light. Don’t pass out!
    Good luck!

    That is very inspiring, to this 72 year old female, because when you mentioned listening to your body, I could identify with that! When I was in recovery from a shoulder shoulder, followed my physical therapy, that was my thought process, to listen to my body. The doctors, physician therapist, for instance, do not know your body, as well as you do, therefore listening to what your body is saying is key! Great video, young lady.❤

    YES!!!!
    Vegan also since January 2018. I agree my situation was the same as yours. When I addressed the inflammation I started loosing weight in areas I never lost in and it’s been slow since then but you can see the gains.
    The key was addressing the inflammation.

  • @jackseve
    @jackseve ปีที่แล้ว +37

    I also found that listening to my body made a drastic difference. When my body is tired I rest and sometimes that means taking exercise easy or not and increasing my sleep. I lost weight without exercise.
    The key to doing dry fasting days at a time is utilizing things like chia seeds soaked a few days in advanced to increase hydration and nutritional benefits.

    This Video was in my recommendations. I've lost 56 pounds water and Intermittent fasting. As you said when you don't eat the weight will leave .For me it's a desire to have temperance in my life and most importantly, to rid my body of inflammation. I was having joint pain and told I have arthritis in my right knee, but after the weight loss and eliminating some of the foods that cause inflammation, I feel so much better .Little to no joint pain, walking is easy and a great exercise. Congrats on your journey and thanks for sharing. I also take Blackseed oil and other supplements daily. I have a juicer, but haven't used it. I have to get started because it can be very beneficial and life changing!!!

    • @Ebizzill
      @Ebizzill 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WhitneyPeoples im not even going to lie, I started ADF to help my eating management and see if perhaps, my body needed rest and proper nutrition by taking exercise out of the equation. I got down to maybe 25 pounds before the plateau, and it took me almost 7 months to reach that point...which is really slow progress. (im seeing people loose than in maybe 3 months, so 7 months is telling me that im probably doing something that is hindering me from further progress) . So now that I know this, I started walking (admittedly not as consistent weekly, but still better than being laid up like a beached whale the previous 7 months), I've been fluctuating with 5 pounds the last 3 months, I should be down 15 pounds by now, but it seems I need something more aggressive. I was researching which exercise will be low impact for me to do, and still give me results efficiently, people have been saying resistance training like lifting weights, and it seemed realistic, but then now, you proposed cardio like stairs, and now im a bit indecisive again.

    • @WhitneyPeoples
      @WhitneyPeoples  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ebizzill totally understandable. Weight training does work but not as quickly as cardio. Walking everyday for 30 minutes alone will help you see a major difference just in 2 weeks. Adding stairs to it would work even better. I don’t think you should dive into weight training with the mindset of losing weight. It’s good for muscle growth and burning some body fat but without cardio you won’t accomplish major weight loss in a shorter period of time - long term you will but not in the short term. Try not to stress about it and just do what you’re able to physically do on the daily basis. Any type of movement is better than no movement.

    What books did you utilize for recipes? How much are you spending a week and did you buy organic?

    • @WhitneyPeoples
      @WhitneyPeoples  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi! Since I’m doing it for 90 days and now approaching day 60, It fluctuated based on my money/budget each week. In the beginning I was spending 300-400 dollars per week but I changed that because it was too expensive. I was buying primarily organic and juicing a lot more expensive fruit and veggies. Around the third week, I started being more creative with water fasting and also adding water to my green juices since my veggies and herbs weren’t producing as much juice. Some weeks I had extra money and would buy all organic and spend about $200 in combination with the watering fasting some days out of that week. I have another video posted on how I only spent $50 on juicing for the entire week buying primarily organic. You should check it out. I didn’t use a recipe book - I’m new to juicing fasting, but I’ve been juicing for years now so I already had my favorite recipes.

I do have a go green juice that I make which consist of primarily veggies with cucumber as my fruit, but that's really it. Since I didn't go in with any health challenges regarding sugar, I really didn't feed into it. I've completely my 90-day juice fast and is now raw. I didn't come out with any health challenges from juicing the fruit. I hope this helps :-)
