I would guess grand vitara would be better option for long drives especially if u have family. And for city potholes also vitara would be sensible option. Offroader like jimny is useful when you live or often go to Village area or out of city where roads are very bad or for kachcha roads.

I mean c’mon - what about this car says premium? Engine - old, frame - oldish now, aggregates - parts bin economies of scale, transmission - old and underwhelming even if solid, materials - mass and not premium. The rear seats don’t even get pressure sensors that prevent the seatbelt alarms from screaming when they’re unbuckled with no one home! So, what exactly let’s Maruti imagine they can get away with a 15 lac+ pricing (if they are, as rumoured), especially with the Thar bookending the range on both ends? I’d pick the Jimny any day of the year over the Thar (and I already have one booked) for it’s real world practicality. But no one’s going to masquerade it as something more than a utilitarian and fun little 4x4, approaching midlife and with maybe not more than 10 years to go before it’s shelved for irrelevance against the march of technology.
India's old favorite car were also on body on ladder frame. Ambassador and Premier Padmini. And rear wheel drive Others are Premier 118 and HM Contessa too
The wheels on true offroaders are best at 15 or 16, so that you can fit larger tyres on them for better side walls and adequate cushioning. Wheels 18 and abouve are not meant for off road tyres.

Hi, I would like to upgrade to 215/75/R15 AT from the stock tires. Would this cause any difference in the overall performance of the vehicle. Also I wanted to know that this being a new vehicle, would the wheel alignment post tire replacement be a difficult job ? I just don’t want to have any unnecessary problems on a new vehicle. Not good for family because of its small in size, less in leg space and even its back side window is only half but no one is speaking about it. Common man show the reality. Lastly its milage not that much

Diesel Engine hota to bhi man lete is price tag ko . Ya ye engine 1.2 turbo Petrol hota to har saal insurance kr hi paise bachte. Road ke sare , negligible undulations bhi feel hote hain kyuki front beam axle hai(phir bhi ride Thar se bohot better hai), vaise uska articulation best hota hai ( civil engineer can check quality of road , just by driving a Jimny over it...) Water wading depth EcoSport jitni bhi nahi hai.
