As Nano twist owner. It works, less stress, good quality and simple for everyday use. Showing middle finger to society that time has saved me from rains, air pollution, hot sun and much more.
When i started to work in Quality supervisor in small industries in Chennai i have seen tata ace were used to load goods near 1.5 tons above its capacity which is company not told. Ace is strong.
Tata has historically stood as a monopoly in the commercial vehicles domain. Therefore, their current disruptive endeavors in this domain can be equated to saying the iPhone 15 as the ultimate iPhone iteration.
Way before tata launched ace they had tata 207 pickup which was not a successful product and faced hard competition from mahindra Maxx pickup truck and followed by bolero pickup. Its not like that tata didn't knew the market actually they wanted to replace the failed 207 and wanted to tap 1T market, as still now at 2T goods vehicle bolero is the preferred choice by the commercial owners.
These vehicles played a very important role in transportation infrastructure in India but this isn't parmanent we need something more faster for better transportation.
Nano failed because Tata could not start the production at their Singur site in West Bengal. Didi made the Singur her political turf and Tatas had to move their factory to an alternate location. This whole process delayed the production by 4 years. And by the time first vehicle was out, people were no longer curious/interested in the product.
Here's a contrarian thought on the failure of Nano: 1. It failed because it was way ahead of it's time and the real Indian middle class is yet to rise. 2. The consumer that would buy a Nano is someone who's a first generation wealth generator, not someone who's used to the privileged affluence of big cities in India. 3. For a successful automotive boom, one needs to have a preemptive boom in the number of new urban areas in a country.
10:20 The jury may be out there, with the perception that "...nobody wanted to buy the cheapest car..." In the past 30 plus years (since the 1991 Liberalization), the average bicycle/moped/scooter-motorbike/first car owners have always wanted to scale up to the next segment for more passengers per vehicle. I don't believe that the introductory Rs 1 Lakh Tata Nano car was a put off for most! - in fact, market surveys and polls put aside, many would talk about wanting to pick up the Nano, BUT with the rider -"Let's see how well it sells for the next 2, 3 years, before I decide to buy a new/second hand Nano.." Yes, in a field full of foreign makes who were already leading the car sales, there may have been a bit of apprehension/skepticism for a home grown personal vehicle. The ensuing bad press of Nano catching fire, etc didn't help either. Their IndiCabs did well initially, till the competition caught up.

Nice report .just one thing if you are posting this on TH-cam which is global, than can you please tell the rest of the world what the heck lakh is in $$ the international currency!,
Ratan Tata himself acknowledged that the marketing of Nano as the cheapest car for the poor man was the reason it failed ... What are you implying by closing your eyes
Video was great, but didn't mention anything about the JV that gave ride to this vehicle, it wasn't developed from scratch, but introduced from South Asia in partnership

Just Bad marketing spoiled demand of whole product which was gem

3 to 3.5 ton in Bihar
Tata Ace replaced tri wheelers in cargo segments, thereafter many auto makers introduced many brands
tata ace is nothing more than a copy of jdm mini trucks and 4x4 trucks ..
@@bonjovi1354yeah..and your point is?
@@aditya_gupta which is started by them not tata

Nano was like more social entrepreneurship
But society cant accept that
In South India, we call it with love as "Kutti Yanne" - Small Elephant
We say the same here in north.
Very underrated channel

Ace dominates Bangladeshi small Truck as well as Light Commercial Passenger vehicles market.
Nano failed cause it randomly started combusting the whole car. Given the cheap tag did not help them

Tata released its own kei trucks
Hindi Mai bhi bnao jyada interest Ata hai
MITSUBISH;
ISUZU.
Are good models to duplicate
Even Daihatsu.
0:31 - Why is Delhi in MP?
Strangely Tata Ace was copied from a truck assembled bt Premier Automobiles from kit imported from China.
That truck was only available in Mumbai
My views pls.I am not undermining Tata motors.we also use Ace for deliveries.Great and cost effective.
Back then i used to think it's name is chota hati 🐘
Using it as a family vehicle with only 2 seats is a stretch.
What kind of a psychopath calls this thing ACE. For everyone, it is always Tata’s “Chota Haathi”
0:29 recheck your map. I believe Delhi location is incorrect.
Tata Nano failed due to his bad publicity delay of production at the same time social stigma because it seen as a very poor man's car😅
Are yeh toh Apna chota hathi hai
Tata ace taqdeer chamkanewali gadi hae❤
Tata Ace is not original creation. Small truck were first created by Suzuki in early 90s.
I think ratan Tata built nano under ace platform then it will be successful nano 😢
But Tata nano engine is very reliable
delhi ka location kya mast dikhaya re
Chota hathi ❤
Tata never called their Nano the cheapest car ..... here's where you are wrong
Here, Ratan Tata spoke about Nano's positioning failure here in his Nat Geo documentary :th-cam.com/video/mpUk7SVOPG0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XOmIxYHqHj9DqftE
Ratan Tata himself acknowledged that the marketing of Nano as the cheapest car for the poor man was the reason it failed ... What are you implying by closing your eyes
