Kia's Customer Service satisfaction is top notch. I own a Kia and I know how good they treat their customers. On top of that, their car designs are so modern looking and the features they provide is more than anyone in the market. the cost to value ratio is really good.

It may lose its market share by a little in future beacuse of its safety issues. Even though kia seltos and sonet are their most popular selling cars but still they lack in build quality. Kia seltos scored 3 stars in gncap just by a margin, which a car like Maruti Ertiga scored a little more than that of Seltos.

They understand the Indian market better than the home grown brand , cars look better feature loaded
Build and ride quality are not upto par with Homegrown brands. Maruti Nexa, Tata and Mahindra do that better.
The main reason behind Kia being successful is that their car models look awesome. All good looking car models are always accepted by the public (e.g. Chevy Cruz). And Kia was already "indirectly" present in Indian market since a long time through Hyundai. Even Hyundai's blockbuster Santro is originally a Kia car. It was sold in South Korea as Kia Visto!! Kia is not a new comer in Indian market as shown in this video and it certainly did not "suddenly" capture a sizable market share!

I own Kia as well, apart from all the reasons you explained , driving this car is very comfortable. That is the key.
Once Bharat NCAP is put in place the market share of Kia, Hyundai and Maruti will be affected to some extent, sales may go down when it will be mandatory to display the NCAP rating for every vehicle.

In early 2020 I wanted to buy Kia seltos but dropped the idea and bought CRETA because nearest service centre for Kia was about 250-300 km far away

@@BizitDeb I have driven Tata cars recently, like Nexon and Altroz. These still have trash engines. I own a Hyundai car which has superbly performant engine with smoothness. Suzuki is renowned for its engine. So, to fight in Indian market Tata needs a better engine.

It’s all about how you treat potential customers visiting showroom. My experience with maruti Nexa was pretty bad, sales people with casual attitude, no follow ups, responding to queries you have to wait as if they suggests this is what it is, take it or leave it. I was confused between buying fronx or vitara. Visited kia showroom n endup buying seltos. In short as far as customer service is concerned Maruti has to do lot of induction to their folks.

Indians mindset study.
1- Load with gimmick features. Sunroof, Auto headlamp, Wiper, Ambient light, Push start stop, Cooled seats, Air Purifier, 15inch touch screen.
2- Use milage oriented engine setup. We are fine with unreliable 3 cylinder lazy engine.
3- Pickup drop service ( we are too lazy and busy)
4- Service dosent matter. Welcome us with cake, coke, water and fake smile. We just concerned about purchasing.
5- Sell as 7 seater. Last 2 seats are not practical. We arw fine. We just need numbers.
6- Keep service very cheap. Quality dosent matters. Just service it cheap.
7- Dont advise us to replace wear and tear product. Repair it. We are fine with faulty parts. We want to save money.
8- Service it within 1hr. We are least bothered about quality workmanship. We want to save 2 mins of our day.
Finally, manufacture the spares at 4th class quality with dirt price. We dont prefer quality.
I purchase Kia recently and that's not just go and buy ...I checked more than 12 vehicles and in all segments Kia felt on pole position...Kia definitely grow in India and you will see more cars with Kia branding ... affordable car with good features ❤❤❤

Seltos Doors are Too flimsy . I own 2023 facelift seltos. everything is great except build. I am disappointed in 1 month i a Dent on door without any impact that i know i had it.

you missed the most important point... KIA had cracked the supply chain... during covid, the automobile industry was facing a very heavy shortage of chips... Somehow, KIA had anticipated that and they were very well stocked in terms of chips... I know many people who wanted to buy Mahindra or other SUVs but there was an 18-20 month waiting period for delivery due to the chip shortage... KIA was available readily. So they decided to buy Seltos..
For me car should be safer then having thousands of features.
Volvo is safest but I can't afford it, but Tata is the next safest car.

I think one more critical factor was that they were able to manufacture and deliver vehicles quickly. Even despite the rising demand year after year, Kia was able to keep up with it and rapidly manufacture their vehicles in large numbers. When most compact SUVs of today are mainly similar in features etc., the customers will gravitate towards the companies that deliver quickly.
@8:52 🤣 thats what safety means for KIA. Even at such low speed the bonnet was damaged. We Indians should start demanding safety along with the basic features. I appreciate KIA and MG strategies due to which atleast other car makers started giving major features in lower variants as well.

There two options in market.
1. Kia Carens
2. Maruti Ertiga
Kia Carens costs high loaded with features.
Where as Ertiga is budget friendly loaded with min features but we get hybrid model ( petrol + cng ) which gives more milage.
Maruti maintains its own insurance system where you need not to fall into head ache of looking for best insurance which can give a hassle free cashless claims.
Spare parts cost of Ertiga are low compared with Kia spars.
I vote for Ertiga for a bigger family to travel.

KIA only looks good, both interior and exterior, but no power when its most needed. I recently drove to a hill station on my friend's Seltos and it struggled on uphill stop-start situations. Even my 11 year old Ritz can do it easily. I drove the diesel variant so I do not know how the petrol variant would have performed. But in city and on highways it is very comfortable I must say.
One point you missed about KIA is its killing looks but I think if KIA doesn't work on Safety rating then its sales will go down.
Now Tata and Mahindra have already started competing in terms of looks and safety. KIA is far away in terms of safety as compared to TATA and MAHINDRA.
TATA and Mahindra will rule the Indian automobile industry. The only point they are missing is after sale service.

We need to allow premium used super cars to import in India. Our roads will be full of those cars and also it will bring fully new business model in auto segment. Problem with Hyundai and Kia is that spare parts are very expensive. If you have a small hit and have to replace headlamp assembly or bumper cover or anything else, you will realise.
Also, there is a reliability issue with some electronic failure at regular intervals.
BUT I WILL never Buy Korean Car or Chinese CAR 😅I am not impressed nor will I stop buying Tata I have 12 cars in my life and 9 are TATA and other 3 were other brands but today Safari is my Next 😅 top safety n awesome pretege....I love Ratan Tata
