Another important note when deciding which game to get into, Destiny 2 is the most expensive for content. Although it is technically a free to play game, most of the content is locked behind paywalls. It’s $300 (All DLCs and dungeons keys) to get full access to every piece of content for a new player and $100 per year after that (new yearly DLC w/ annual pass).
Destiny 2 is more free to try than play, you get locked out if you dont buy something.
Looks like the sims got a competitor
Pretty sure most of the content has seen deep price cuts and some content was given out for free much later into its lifespan. The most recent content is heavily pay-walled though. Expansions, Seasons, Dungeons now for whatever reason, tons of paid cosmetics but you don't have reliable means to earn it like Warframe. It's definitely not a game you want to play if you're adverse to spending money.
It’s only 300+ dollars if you’ve bought everything full price. It’s 124 right now if a new player wanted everything available. Stop lying pls
@@tonybamanaboni4441 yeah the 300 pricetag is bullshit.
Furthermore even if 120 still sounds crazy, outside of cosmetics you still get everything and the game doesn't feel like some mobile game. As in you aren't constantly locked under timers to craft Y, X, Z and then to "unlock" character.
In both Warframe and TLD you are forced to slow down over tons of wait this, wait that.
Though as far as I remember Destiny has time gated weekly drops that are the best. But even then, everyone has the same. There is no way to pay to have direct advantage over others.
Destiny is a good game, but descendant made ke realise I miss warframe.

Nah warframe is way more confusing but gets better. Destiny is only confusing when trying to learn dungeons and stuff but I mean if u suck then you suck when it comes to grinding. Both have paywalls. Both idc what you say bout price they are both the same. Destiny DLC pay wall and warframe is a pay wall just for legit anything you want to own.
@@waxydabz8205 just get good at trading, Warframe isn't paywalled, grinding and trading can get you pretty much everything you want
For me it all comes down to what I'm getting for my time and money and ultimately, whether it's fun to play or not, Warframe is that game. It captures the insanity of old school GTA III rampages with melee similar to Devil May Cry, the magic of looting gear in an RPG, crafting systems for weapons and Warframes, a deep storyline for those willing to actually pay attention and seek out info on it's madhouse lore. And the best thing, Warframe rewards players that might not be able splash cash on it every week, you could earn almost everything in the game without ever paying a penny, you just need to find out how and put the time in like you would any other game, it's amazing how thoughtful Digital Extremes are when it comes to what their players are getting for the money they may choose to part with. Honestly it's hard to bash their team for anything because they really do give a damn about what they're doing. I've nothing but love and respect for them 😊
I mean, first descendant will probably die in a month. Not cause the game is currently bad, but Nexon kinda just kills their own games like all the time.
That is quite likely lol
Eh, I'll play it till it dies. I used to play Darkness Rises before it went extinct and didn't pay a darn thing. 👀 ...It was my childhood.

Man RIP Division 2 players I guess lmao.
tbh if people are still sticking with that, good on em lol.
Div2 is good but its got no dog in this fight.
8 year Division veteran here - nonstop player from the launch of Division 1 until recently where I quit the Division 2.
Ubisoft did this. Ubisoft abused our community and abandoned it, despite it genuinely being one of the most positive, mature and loyal communities I've EVER seen play a game. Quite literally the average Division player in matchmaking is 35-40, and I'm 35 myself, so we're not a bunch of kids.
We stuck by the game while it got buggier, while the studio got reassigned to Star Wars and a new newbie skeleton crew that didn't know their way around the game code was assigned to it instead.
I spent almost a decade on this game with huge wasted potential. Goodbye.
@@yofolkdem1256 Well, to be fair Div2 did bring their pet cat into this fight, if that counts.
@@Celestias Man I love division 2 alot, the gameplay is spot on if I want a more grounded looter shooter. The only reason I quit is motion sickness, I messed around with the settings but I still can't endure the motion sickness at all. Same problem when trying out division 1 but the motion sickness there is much worse
I personally like both destiny and warframe. Both games offer something I enjoy I like doing raids and dungeons and helping people do legendary campaigns in destiny but I also like working on my frames and trying out new frames and guns in warframe. It really depends on what I feel like doing.
As for the first descendants it’s a coin toss I want the game to be good but the company running it does not fill me with hope.
Play both warframe + destiny, but i distance myself from warframe (Mr30), its kind of boring, its easy, its a casual game, i felt it lacks the videogame part of fun, i was looting and farming for nothing, cosmetics and things im not even going to use. Destiny 2 is repetitive too, but, its more grounded in the combat system, it has the challenge i was lacking from wf, has better quality activities, and raids are beyond unique. Pvp is important too, warframe is just dead there, and in destiny is way better and fun, there are Ytubers and players dedicated only to play pvp. In the story both have up and downs, but i prefer destiny world lore. Between the price, i dont mind paying 50 dollars for a year expansion if there is a raid, stories, seasons, dungeon. Getting everything for free is good too for wf players. Im hoping wf will get trials(raids) back, imagine a sentient raid of 6 players with mechanics and comms, that would be amazing. Or dungeons of 3.
And the first descendant as other korean games, are just good looking but they cant nail the gameloop and endgame even if they "showed" it in the vidoc i dont really see it, reminds me of wf but slow.
Everysingle game is fun and good, but is for different audiences
Fr.
How will The First Descendant do though in the true end-game, fasion?
Graphics are good, character models are great, design/aesthetics/costumes/armors are really bad imo, typical generic asian hyper sexualized costumes and weird panda costumes, rabbit ears, school girl costumes, not the kind of badass sexy assassin or crazy behemoth paladin look or whatever that most western games are going for.
Also, skins are crazy expensive, starting a new game literally deletes your real money purchases, also there are a lot of one time consumable cosmetics that can only be applied once.
So warframe for example has mediocre graphics and okayish designs, with good customization, 7/10.
First descendant, I give a 3/10 right now but with a lot of future potential
@@MyN0N4M3calm down the sexy ain't a problem the gameplay is def is.
Give me more sexy skins but I can't buy those... Unless they improve the gameplay.
Fashion is ok but expensive af, and I don't think you can with consistency the premium currency. Every can fashion in Warframe
I'm a Destiny vet who jumped ship a while back for a variety of reasons. The gameplay has always been really solid, but there has always been glaring issues. I'm gonna wait a month to see what people say, because the honey moon period is usually over by then. There is some really hot looking stuff being added, but i can't be sure that that my problems with the game will be something I can ignore. I feel especially burnt by the horid layoffs that happened because of Bungie's lofty financial targets. Those devs didn't deserve that. The managers or higher corpo positions are the ones that should suffer when the game performs poorly. It also feels weird to not see this out to the end since I've been with it for so long. I have mixed feelings to put it lightly.
I love warframe. I played first descendent, and i really liked it. Destiny not as much but its only because of the movement, the gameplay is great but trying to dodge once you start to get low to recover is a major pain due to the lack of mobility. And for that reason i enjoyed first descendent more then i did destiny
Just play which one makes you most happy
Destiny 2 requires you to spend more than $300 to do the main story while warframe and tfd dont.
There isnt much of a comparison to make for me warframe is first the first descendant second and destiny last(ive played destiny till i realized you gotta pay up if you wanna enjoy actual content)
What's worse about D2 is the paid content from the past, is cut down content. New players can't get the full experience, they need to watch videos of the content that doesn't exist to be caught up on the story.
Which just further shows how shitty of a game it is lol @@tr4l1975

So your opinion means not much at all, ranking D2 last without playing a single raid is insane😂
The crux of the comparisons, which I hate BTW each game offers different things, but the crux of it is the purpose of the grind. Warframe has no purpose except to exist. Your builds exist jut to exist for no real purpose. Destiny at least has end game content and aspirational content. I am hoping First Descendent has a purpose of the grind.

I've been really enjoying tfd, i lived destiny 2 but eventually stopped playing due to boredom. I've tried to play warframe AFTER playing tfd, but I couldn't get into it
The barrier for entry in destiny is cost and the confusion in paying for content, for someone like me who is new to the game and ive heard the same from other ppl
The only reason I play destiny is cause epic gave away 2 or 3 expansions if not or i would hv never touched the game
Plus if the community of the game, the same ppl uve convinced to pay $100s to play ur game over the yrs say the game is bad y should i try it and invest time into it
But destiny's gunplay is nigh on untouchable imo
Warframe is a easy game to pick and drop but again thats not necessarily a good thing if the only thing the game is good at is getting ppl hooked for a week then they drop it for 2 months
If you say ohh ur broke then ur not helping any argument, its a business model at the end of the day whether i choose to or can engage with it is my choice as a consumer
my issue with the 1st descendant is nexon they cant keep their greedy hands still. also D2 pvp is hit and miss what people care is trails of osiris but unless you want to be the punching bag of sweaty veterans there is no point.
Well I would have put destin2 in second spot, but bungie has screwed the game up so bad that after 5 years I removed from inventory as well as stopped following any thing associated 😂
That being said Definitely Warframe 1st and well being the descendants hasn’t even dropped yet I can’t vote any spot for it.
If the first descendants wants to survive they need to learn from warfare, not making the game about spending money
4:40 Yea but that was during a time when people didn't expect every game that comes out to be as good and polished as Apex legends on launch day or else it's dead
I used to play destiny. Day 1 all the way to Wrath of the Machine. The loot drop betrayed me and i deleted the game forever. Plus the asking price for "expansions" were getting out of hand. Then i picked up Warframe needing another scifi looter Never looked back. The ONLY thing i miss from Destiny are the Raids. I think the fact that all of WF is free uncluding its expansions and season pass styled content. Additionally loot can be traded is a big factor u need to mention. I purchased premium currency in WF becuase i wanted to not becuase i was manipulated or HAD to..as for Last Descendant...it looks like "horny warframe destiny" ill wait a few years to see where it lands before trying it out. I know how these things go.
dont forget that the first descendant has 0 barrier of entry, ive played all 3 and destiny has the worst feeling guns of the 3 .
destiny is clunkier also , good game still but after playing all 3 for 100+ hours except for descendant but i have played all the closed tests and public tests
comparing quantity of content is just unfair since the other 2 are out for years , in terms of quality warframe now days as improved a lot so has destiny but i always felt the pvp more fun in destiny than the raids ,
For those wondering
The first decendant has confirmed dungeons
i think 4+ new descendants on launch
available on all platforms and cross play which is huge .
all 3 all good games but currently defendants gameplay is really nice and is not as slow as explained in the video lol
Vaild points there.
The problem with TLD for so far... It kinda doesn't do anything well. I just can't imagine the game suddenly flips all the designs of their bosses.
For example, in Destiny all the story missions had fun bosses, even the overworld bosses had some mechanics and then it launched with Raids (or added them quickly, I think there was grace period to get lvl up) and those were amazing.
TLD all small bosses are identical, all colossai are almost identical and then there is nothing more complex. All bosses are just dmg checks with no mechanics. In other words "bones" are already boring.
Warframe, I didn't play when it launched and it's been like 3 years since I played, so I am no expert. But I remember the warframes themselves being way more diverse than descendants and having better moving mechanis. Like in one instance you are a ninja, in another you are some bulky dude, just way more ways to play. In TLD it kinda sounds like they have more shit going on on paper, but in the end almost all Descendands more or less play the same, use same weapons. Melee is impossible. Movement is boring. The best they have is run fast with Bunny.
In my opinion Warframe is the undisputed winner so far. That being said TFD has lots of potential but is still a little rough around the edges. The characters feel way less powerful when compared to Warframe. Also the procedurally generated maps of Warframe are leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. But that is something TFD can achieve. And Destiny… let’s hope Destiny 3 will be better even if I highly doubt it.
Tbh if u have the time and money play both warframe and destiny both are extremely good and fun
I hate the fact that in destiny 2 you have to pay even your air to keep playing it
Misleading, thats ffxiv or wow subscription systen
@@diegoguerra8803 I’ve been playing it for a few weeks for the first time, haven’t spent a dime and I’ve found it fun. There’s a lot of content at base still
I've heard that First Descendant is pretty generic which sucks cuz I was hoping it could give Warframe a run for it's money. And anyone who's played Destiny knows how garbage that's been for the last few years, though I have heard good things about the latest expansion.
Warframe remains in a class all it's own at least for the time being. Since DE have done such a great job with the game consistently for several years now though I don't think that's a problem.
This is one of those games that you enjoy when you dont have a lot of beeches yelling in your ear how bad it is or how Nexon 'Kills' their games after months, gamers have become honestly such crying little babies that I dont even listen to others opinions anymore, because its always something to complain about. you do you, I am enjoying this game a lot, if it dies then it dies, whats gonna happen? If yiou already playing another game like this I get it, stay in your game, just dont come throwing shade because you have played Warframe since 2013 and feel like it is the only game that should be allowed from that genre
As someone who has only recently been introduced to Destiny 2, I can honestly say that I enjoy it (monetization aside). The gameplay is fun, though I feel like the learning/skill curve is a lot steeper than Warframe's, and it feels less intuitive with fewer in-game tools/tutorials to help new players understand how to play beyond the "training" mission at the start. A lot of what I learned about playing Destiny 2 came from trial and error, guidance from my friend (who is an old player returning), and guides on youtube.
And even with all of that help, I still feel like I'm pretty mediocre at it. lol
It was the opposite for me, Destiny is pretty much like any other FPS just add in jump mechanics & space magic, Warframe movement and melee has varying techniques. So skill wise/learning curve it seems steeper on WF.
I played both from the beginning and have on and off since then. I disagree that it's a learning curve, or at least to me and most people that have played FPS like yofolkdem said. That said, I do think that the raw skill barrier is higher, just not in a way where I'd call it a learning barrier. Destiny (particularly on higher difficulty things) is more execution based, so even if you know what to do and have built your character up well, it might be a matter of executing in the moment. On the other hand, in Warframe things are fairly easy as long as you've learned what you're supposed to do and built your Warframe suitably; but actually learning all of that takes a lot.
As far as new player experiences go, a new player in Warframe could start with Duviri, spend hours learning its systems, then come out not knowing what to do for most of the actual game. I'm not someone that looks up tips for games often and Warframe is the only game I've ever played as a "wiki" game and continue to do so whenever I come back to it lol
I feel the opposite as well. Destiny offers about as much guidance as Warframe, but its systems are much simpler to grasp. Warframe's base mechanics are not that complex, but understanding it on a deep level requires a PHD. Warframe is also much easier though and leans a lot more into the power fantasy. You can get fairly powerful while building everything incorrectly. Destiny will make you feel weak if your loadout doesn't make sense for the content you're playing, but it really doesn't take that much understanding to make a competent build.
just watched a destiny live and they introduces upcoming story content called Echoes ..they are 3 Episodic events that will run for a limited time and expire ....this sucks ..its such a toxic behaviour from bungie...first we will have to buy all 3 episodes to play them...then we have to rush and play them during the limited time ...and they will get sunset eventually and we wont be able to replay them.
Echoes is one episode with 3 acts there’s 3 episodes and they will only expire at the end of the year when the next dlc comes out but you are right about them becoming sunset and not replayable
FD made me feen for warframe again.
I love Destiny I’ve tried warframe I like it but I always play Destiny over it but I’m seeing these comments and I feel like I should just play Destiny but I like Destiny I’m not chained to it i can and will play other games warframe is just less fun for me but I feel like I should make my self play warframe over Destiny plus there’s absolutely no one I know that plays warframe but in Destiny I’m in a clan I have a few friends I don’t really know what else to put here so uh have a good day
i’m just not understanding where the destiny comparison came from it’s clearly a warframe copy nothing to do with destiny in any way
Tbf one of the only things destiny does better than Warframe is PVP
@@IbarhimGaMer888 destiny is nothing like warframe bud 2 completely different games
i discovered warframe 2 weeks ago... the main issues of this game are: confusing story and a bad name: any game with "war" in its name makes it random: warthunder, warframe, warface, etc. And i got overwhelmed: too much content and i dont know what to do: finish the nodes, hunt eidolons, farm materials... the point is that is too easy to lose the focus with no guides at all.
On the other hand when i played it i got the same feeling i got with GTA V: both games are made with love, both are old and bot keep receiving updates and new content. No cashout required (i spent around 5 usd and im more than conf now (RM7).
Destiny does alot of things right, from the gunplay and the raids, and the activities but damn it sucks so much... I played destiny 2 with some friends but I personally had to dropout because I couldn't afford the DLCs that are needed for some raids and activities which sucked, not only that but sometimes the grind doesn't feel worth it, I just can't get that much variety in the gameplay and classes. Especailly since changing classes means I have to redo all the campaigns all over again and I'm lazy that's just me though
Also the game being 3 players mainly kinda sucks as well
In warframe the endgame is like non existant so it gets stale fast, but I have a while to get to that point so I'll keep grinding warframe until I can't no more, and then I guess move on.
Boarderlands is the best looter shooter, warframe isn’t really a looter shooter since there timers infront of all the loot, can’t really pick up new weapons in warframe missions so won’t really say it’s a looter.
I like both the first descendant and warframe, but if I had to choose I prefer warframe over the first descendant. Warframe is the most accessible, the most interesting, and you will never have to need to pay a ransom to play the game and get something cool aside from maybe one or two cosmetics. And yeah the first descendant reminds me more of anthem to be honest too. And Destiny sucks
Any body remember the frost prime built?
Have all parts to build one...
Destiny for pure gameplay, Warframe for gameplay and some good narrative, First Descendant if you want a Warframe with no current social political narrative attached.
Destiny: Pay 300 dollars to play the story.
Warframe: Its all free. Everything. Paying is just to speed things up.
TFD: Copy/Paste attempt of Warframe but straight up worse in every way, but the characters are oversexualized.
After reading the comments, to read some takes, as interesting as they are, this is more of a Warframe community comment section.
I find the free to play part vs pay content not a valid argument, paywall doesnt mean better or worse, its accessible or not, Wf is more accessible for everyone, but because of this it has skins way more expansive than a destiny year expansion. You can still enjoy destiny without paying anything, same as wow, ffxiv, teso or any mmo.
The argument of leaving content or staying is debatable too, as wf has a lot of old activities still with 0 players engaging in it, while destiny has a ton of fomo, but they reintroduce stuff modernizing it, the problem is when and how long.
Both games have a decade of things, and both are equaly confusing.
In the part of sunsetting, destiny did commit a mistake, but is the first in the industry to try to solve a problem that every live service game will need to face. Disk space. Sadly bungie needs to remove seasons to introduce new ones, fortnite does the same, warframe maybe in a decade will need to do something about it too, but steve was smart and did a pretty realistic render engine with low geometry. Cod warzone couldnt transfer skins from version to version cuz the models were too heavy. They remove sunsetting from d2, but, the problem persists, and D3 or an upgraded engine for D2 should work maybe, we will see.
Haven’t even watched the video but I vote that destiny is at the very bottom as it’s not really even a free to play, the first descendant idk
Free to play or not doesn't matter, sorry to say lol
