The problem with this is that destiny is an FPS first, warframe is pretty much a hero shooter. Just different flavors for different people. The shooting in destiny is far superior to warframe but the abilities and customization of warframe are far superior. @@skylerfreeman1173 The funny thing is, I think a lot of people make excuses for continuing to believe myths about these two games, or just get busted being hypocrites. Like, people say they prefer Destiny being 1st person, and can't get into Warframe because it's 3rd person, and yet will swap to try out every other 3rd person looter shooter on the market. Kinda suspect. The "gunplay" thing...Destiny's gunplay is busy deteriorating due to decreasing game stability, while Warframe's has been really satisfying and only gotten better. The "movement" thing...Guardians are busy Zoren Coptering in 2024 with Eager Edge, and at least 1 of the 3 main classes is infamous for having terrible traversal, while DE just built bullet jumps into the control framework that EVERY Warframe has. Warframe gets a horrible rap from angry Destiny players, and it's not warranted. Many would be better served playing Warframe instead, yet they refuse and it's a shame. Apologies for being overly contradictory, it's not you, it's the consensus out there that bugs me.
Just to be clear, the power level of the warframes in the opening cutscene is about where you are in the tutorial level. By the time you get to Phobos you’ll be a literal hurricane of murder.
You might not understand this game quickly, but I beg of you keep playing. It gets SO good and it will sweep up your life and you'll love it I play it every day and I've done basically the whole story and I still get giddy just hopping on its worth the investment

Warframe is very unique. There is nothing out there like this game. If you like fast action, freedom, a awesome community and making builds like in rpg games, then this game is perfect for you. I play Warframe since 2014 and don't regret it. This game is free and you can even farm the premium currency and trade for it with other players. Absolutely insane!
YESSS, to be honest, I haven't seen anything like it, and I've played so many games. The closest is probably The First Descendant, but that still needs to prove itself.
@@DaRealLloydy only thing you prob gonna miss from destiny in PVP. and good pick for starter frame..since you get a better verison of Excal later on for FREE.
The progression in Warframe goes like this: "I'm a lonely space ninja that keeps the balance between two warring empires." to "Holy fuck, I'm a god, and I've broken every single rule in the Geneva Convention. BUT I NEED FORMA". There is no in-between. Oh yea, sometimes just exploring and looking at all the small details in the game are amazing. Take the intro cinematic, it shows a bullet just bouncing off Volt as he tries to dodge them. Like, the whole dodging part is useless and merely because we want to be some cool space ninja.
I have been playing Warframe for years and there are two quotes that still give me chills every time and that is lotus saying "wake up tenno" and "rap tap tap rap tap TAP"
Warframe is a game where the intro cutscene doesn't actually show the heroes at full power - if anything, they become *MORE* powerful when you actually gain control of them. Welcome to your new life, Tenno!
I am a veteran player. I have almost every item, and there's not much I haven't seen. But damn that starter level looks amazing since they updated it. I can't even remember mine :(
With Digital Extremes coming out with new content every year Warframe has become one of my home base games that I will come back to every year between all the other games. I'm glad you are having fun!
Good to see people picking up this game. I had to stop playing at the end of 2015 on my Xbox cause of school and life. Came back at the start of 2023 and was hit with sooooo much new content. After a year of continuous playing, Im very happy i got pulled back in
Out of all the people I've seen try this game recently, you adapted to the movement the fastest. You were sliding and bullet jumping before the game even told you about it lol, you got Warframe in your genes
I adapted pretty fast too. But the again I saw other people playing the game, before I started playing the game, so I already knew bullet jumping and shit were possibilities.
i got the game when i was like 7 and never did any tutorials or anything so I got to like mars just by blindly doing random stuff and playing the online when it was still active, nowadays I question how the hell i’ve only unlocked like 2 planets after playing for like 8 years
One thing I love about warframe, it's cut scenes or promotional videos is that you can do all the shit they show you. Like nothing is fake more like just a bit of light edit and some adjustments other than that it's basically the gameplay
If anything the promotional material undersells it. The devs aren't well known for playing the game like a veteran, if anything they play like newbs during devstreams and on controllers no less. So even the prime trailers are kinda slow paced and only shows off some of what you can do. A true veteran of the game, with a loadout focused on maximum destruction and a frame with abilities geared for aoe abilities will, blow through hundreds of enemies a minute to the point the spawn AI can barely keep up with it. Warframe is a game that takes the idea of a power fantasy and not only builds upon it but also expands it. Aside from a handful of knee jerk 'balances' due to exploits, or meta balancing examples like Mesa, Trinity, Mag, Ember, etc. With certain meta builds trivializing content, frames have only gotten stronger over time with reworks and tweaks here and there. Just look at Hydroid. Up until his rework he was arguably the weakest, least played warframes, with his recent rework he's now one of the strongest, firmly in the top 10 and is actually a joy to play now. Now I just wish they'd revisit my girl Trinity and modernize her kit because all the ways you can get back health and energy now makes over half her kit kinda redundant.
@@ComotoseOnAnime I feel like if De devs let mr.warframeguy make the promotional videos it would be sick. Cause he maximizes all the areas of each frame or weapons and mixes extreme humor with it.
when you said "can I do that in the game?" when watching that cutscene I knew you're in for a great time. It may seem like a lot and it is, but keep playing, we beg, it's an amazing game. I'd be willing to party up with you and teach you some things or mechanics, if you ever need some help.
The fact the main frame Excalibur, who is a starter frame, has a freaking lightsaber as his ult, is an amazing sign of how freaking powerful the frames get as you go further into the game.
Since you asked for feedback: when going to any "town" before an open zone for the first time: put your speakers up. Destiny wishes it could do bangers like warframe does.

Welcome tenno, Warframe has a learning curve, but the community is ALWAYS open to helping. Everything you see in the market that is a weapon or warframe you can farm. The only thing you need platinum (games premieum currency) for is really just the cosmetics (which the community dub as fashionframe/the true end game) Game is very story driven, but also has many activities to play that revolves around squads. And again, do not hesitate to ask for help, the community will help, and even carry you through harder missions if needed.
If i were to describe warframe to anyone, Warframe is like every genre of game at once im not exaggerating. Oh yeah also the warframe tutorial lasts like 50+ hours since if it didn't the actual over information would kill. Since you need to grasp a lot of the mechanics, specially math and modding, where most of the players gets stuck. Cant really do much about that since mods=power, bullet sponges only exist if you allow them to exist. Unlike those annoying champions ive had to deal with in nightfalls/lost sectors.
I started playing this game like 3 - 4 months ago and already have 300 hours, me and my friends sometimes still have a difficult time understanding shit but itsstill really fun
The power scaling in the game is nuts, so if you notice a lot of high level players in ur early missions u may want to consider swapping to 'friends only' for missons (click the little globe by ur name in the menus). The story is kinda slow to ramp up and can b disjointed at first, but the finale quests are some of the coolest story bits ive played in a game to date. Welcome Tenno!
ayy my thumbnail made it into the video :D I have been grinding a lot since i made my video, went from MR 7 to MR12, and got a ton of new primes, having fun but ngl i'm ultimately just waiting for Destiny 2 content
Warfame has been steadily improving over time, i was basically jumping on and off since the realease and each time i returned there was something new to discover. That one time they added open world was pretty cool. Then they added operators, helminth and mechs, then space combat and a very cool rogue lite mode (and now completely new faction). I really like how DE never stop experimenting. All that insane stuff that Warframes can do, like size changing and time reversals, really feels unique and well made. And the economy is pretty good too, being able to earn premium currency is feels great. That is on top of the entire game being completely free, outside of some exclusive cosmetics. The only things i didn't like are art design and the slow start.
@@DaRealLloydythere’s a slingshot that launches you into enemy ships face first to board them. Seriously you punch through the hull with your head before doing a flip and landing on all fours.
Welcome to the family tenno you will be blown away as you progress in the game you ain't seen nothin yet just remember one thing no matter what just have fun
Tip #1 in Warframe: Mobility is key. There are _so_ many movement options in the game, and this can depend on which frame you use. If you encounter a massive jump gap, do a run + bullet jump + aim glide. You'll clear that no problem. Continue to practice your movement because you'll be meeting veterans or longtime casuals (like me, for example) who clear missions in less than 2 minutes at best, and you need to catch up with them so you don't miss out on the loot or the participation. Tip #2: After mastering your starter frame, you need to know what frame suits your playstyle and grind to get that. You have a lot to choose from: tank, dps, support, stealth, and/or the glass cannon, wacky, finesse types. I suggest grinding for the prime versions, as they are more powerful than the base versions. Also, they are easier to farm than the regular versions sometimes (looking at you, Equinox, Harrow, Chroma, and Saryn).
I dont know if someone told you yet, but as a beginner it is good to know that you can change your party settings (looking at your confusion in the video when random people joined you). When youre in your ship, on the top left next to your name there is a globe icon (might need to open the menu to see it). when you click on it you can choose between "public, invite only, solo, etc". Since you can be matched with people wayyy further in the game that are just speedrunning missions for ressources, it might be worth it to set it to solo or invite only, to explore the world first. Its very important to take things at your pace or you will just be confused. I stopped playing the game for a while when i started because i was just confused and i was hasting to keep up with people, not knowing what to do, when i came back after a long pause i did everything solo until like "second dream mission" and it was so much fun exploring and understanding stuff, enjoying the story
Played warframe for a bit, quit cuz I got overwhelmed, then I returned to the game after I saw the gauss prime memes, and now after actually picking up and understanding the systems, I'm more invested than I've ever been
Ive seen you say that you plan to play more, so please PLEASE record your reactions to the cinematic story quests, starting with The Second Dream. Theyre amazing and us veterans still love seeing peoples first reactions to them.
@@RESIDENTHOB0I just finished New War after 200+ hours in the game (100 of which I spent grinding for necramech parts…. pain) and it is genuinely one of the best quests I’ve played in any video game in a long, long while.
Welcome to Warframe. It's got a lot of content which can seem daunting, but it also has really engaged developers and a supportive community. Hope you have fun!
About map. This what you see is not all what you get. There is for example proxima type mission nodes that is space fights. There is 3 new locations with bunch of mission nodes that you will see after certain story quests. One secret second half of one of planets(not a planet but still...). And 4 semi open world areas. I would not spam any tips bc people probably write a lot of those down. But i have one tip. When you are in star chart screen(game map) in right up corner you have button with weird face. DONT CLICK IT. It will drop on you bunch of mechanics, and lore that you dont understand bc you lacking context that currently is somewhere in 75-80% of game story. If you want do it early try wait to point when you finish big story mission called Second dream. I your ship cockpit on left you have CODEX. You can check there what are prerequsits for this mission(beside finishing half os star chart).
Warframe still blows my mind. Endless content for free, no pay walls, no P2W, can even farm the premium currency which is basically only used for looks. There will never be a F2P game like thia ever again.
If I can do that in the game... Hope I can fight all of those... Yes, yes you can and so much more. There are weapons and frames that'll do all that and more, solo. Have fun.
On my tenth year playing this year, and am always excited to see someone new joining. This game is something that is a slow cook that gets you a lot stronger with the loot you get with an unimaginable amount of playstyles and build diversity, but its a very slow cook with a lot of fun along the way.
despite being free i think this game is a literal masterpiece in my opinion, perfected RPG mechanics, a metric ton of content, extremely fun gameplay, the modding, it just all comes together. my only gripe will be the new player experience
As a veteran player from the closed beta, it's beautiful to see this game finally getting the attention its deserved for a very very long time. It was difficult to see the initial success Destiny got, at the time there was a lot of work still to be done to balance Warframe in some critical ways. Some people were giving up and encouraging others to do the same, and Destiny seemed to be getting so much praise for making a lot of the exact same decisions Warframe made years prior to a smattering of weak-willed applause. Warframe was just that far ahead of its time, and it's probably controversial to say but I personally think Warframe opened the door for Destiny's success. It's clearly inspired by Warframe, and the one arena they beat Digital Extremes in was marketing oversaturation. Barely anyone I knew had even heard of Warframe, but everyone had seen a Destiny commercial at least a dozen times. I'm just glad Digital Extremes didn't give up on their own game, their own artistic expression. While AAA companies were blasting them in the press, saying that their monetization model wasn't sustainable, and casual players complaining that there were too many grindy elements with little to show for it...they kept their heads down and kept trudging forward. And here we are. They actually did it, people love the game and all is well with the world. It feels as though the order of reality has finally achieved balance lol.
What I love about warframe, is that the game implies your warframes are feared, respected. One man army's that were long lost. Once you get into the game it makes you feel like a one man army, quite literally the way the lore explains it. Once you start unlocking more warframes and weapons I think you'll really enjoy it, some of the story quests are amazing!
For someone who's played Warframe for over 10 years, and only played Destiny for 4 years..I'll admit Warframe has far more optional character play styles with weapons and cosmetics, as well as a pretty dark lore to it. Warframe is hands down better than Destiny in many more ways than one.. But again, some would try to argue that Destiny is better
Warframe is a journey. Every weapon is an opportunity to find something you love, each new warframe opens up a door to an entirely different way to play the game. Each new area offers new activities and each new standing faction a new story. The quests provide you a sweeping narrative that as a whole leaves a lot of questions, just as much as a deep rich experience that can be pieced together the more you see. I have over 3000 hours in warframe across the past decade and every time I go back to it . . . I fall in love with it again. Warframe has a bit of something for everyone. You can chase the power fantasy with rivens, archon shards, and min maxing. You can do fishing, hunting, and even hoverboarding. Duviri rogue-lite and all of the open world exploration to achievement hunt? Warframe is the only game I will cry for and feel sadness for when it shuts down. It is probably one of the best broken, yet passion games ever made.
oh and when you are in your arsenal, and you click "equip" on a category of weapon/frame it will show you a whole list of weapons/frames. click "purchase" to view the abilities and the option to purchase the blueprint with credits instead of plat
I started playing Destiny at launch. I'm a veteran. I've followed Destiny with unwavering loyalty, even through its many content droughts. I started Warframe at launch, but it failed to hook me. However as Destiny 2's cracks started to show and Bungie consistently shat the bed, I was convinced by a longtime friend and fellow destiny vet to give Warframe another try. I still play Destiny 2, but I'm far FAR FAR more excited about Warframe Updates than I am about Destiny 2. This game has come to mean the world to me. Its community is amazing. The developers are incredible. They embrace their community, listen openly, and engage in an amazing dialogue with players to built the best game possible. Its the only game where I'm happy to spend money buying MTX because I know it goes toward supporting an amazing team. Whatever you do, do not spoil yourself on Warframe. Some of its story sections are simply awe inspiring. That's a big thing amongst us Tenno. We want our fellow tenno to experience Warframe as truly and as honestly as possible. Its worth it, trust me. I want to follow your journey, so take my subscription! Welcome to the Origin system, Tenno :)
Good lord this takes me back, cant believe how much has changed for the prologue. If ur still playin just remember heat damage and corrosive goes hard for anything that isn't shielded, and toxin damage by itself is a great corpus killer gl👍
Youve only scratched the surface my guy lol its a seriously deeper game than people think it is. It can be grindy, but its absolutely worth it. Keep at it mate!
I have over 4k hours into Warframe, It's a great game. Most new player quit after the few missions which is somewhat like a tutorial, but it gets better. Also I am Legendary Rank 2 and I have not spent a penny on the game. I hope you and every other new player enjoys Warframe.
I so yearn I could relive first playing Warframe with all of this new beginner stuff man :( The game is so rich in content now and thriving and we all love seeing new people play the thing we love. A very good bunch of Tenno will be there to help you along the way. 10 years in STRONG! But watching you see the beginner characters and get giddy almost brought a tear to my eye.
I think the biggest diffrence between warrframe and destiny 2 is how the sell new contents. Warframe be like: we made some weapons, you can get it here (probably cost several horus). Or if you wish to skip that because you don't have time for it. You can pay a few cents to skip the grid. Destiny 2 be like: pay me bi*ch or you never get it. You never see payment dialogs slash on your face in warframe unlike destiny 2.
The designs, the gameplay, the lore. All of it are unique and fun. to top of off it is *technically* f2p friendly since everything can be obtained for free as long as one grinds. Overall warframe is a huge W for a game and i hope it continues to improve.
At first I was confused about the lore and aesthetic of the game, finally learned more about the lore and started to like it more, just needed some background on why I am a hyper futuristic space ninja
I lately decided to come back to the game, i am not so far (i am currently in second dream questline which unlocks a lot of stuff) and i remembered what i loved about this game, being able to go at your own pace, no mandatory microtransactions, no pression from other players (i mean there's pvp but only 5 ppl play it anyways). I mean yeah, it's a pain to farm a LOT, but i view it similar to WoW, so yep i have no much problem with it, taking some huge breaks is a nice strategy, because very few things are limited timed anyways, so just chill do not try to speedrun it, and just take a while to goof around. Personally i like to play with Nyx sometimes and just cast the third ability, seeing the enemies just kill each other while i stare the chaos. Personal recomendation: Do your own research and think about "mh, what things make me have a fun time?", search your guns and warframes that suit you, it's inevitable that sometimes you will have to use meta stuff but luckily it won't be so common like most games. PD: it's funny that the premium currency can be obtained free, however you need to trade with players so you shouldn't focus on it early on for now, and if you get platinum just use it for more space for warframes and guns.
As someone who recently introduced new players to this game my biggest recommendation is simple if you're on PC: Try playing around with KB&M a bit, as the movement is much more fluid, even if it takes some getting used to. An originally console/controller player stated this to me after I had them swap early on in the game, and so I always recommend people try it at least once. Otherwise, just follow the quests the game gives you, and have fun. This game may have a bit of a steep learning curve, but there's plenty of guides and resources if you need help from the community at large. Good luck, and always remember: Ordis has a volume slider in the options for a reason.
@@DaRealLloydy The only time I keep him enabled is for quests, since they don't repeat dialogue outside of replays of it. But yeah. Let me know how that goes, and hope you have fun.
Really good game, I spend abour 3k hours over 7 years on it. My favorite thing so far is the plat grind, not needing to to spend cash is huge when money is tight
As someone who has played destiny 2 since the start it kinda felt bad to see a game I loved so much fall so far. Even if they continue after the final shape, if it doesn’t completely send at the level of witch queen, forsaken, or even higher I’m pretty sure the game will be over. I’m pretty sure there are others like me who are just sticking in it because they at least want to see the end of this arc, but it has kinda gotten stale for me. On the other hand cross save got released a short bit ago so I could finally bring my ps4 character onto pc and get back to a game I didn’t realized I missed so much until I could play it again. I’ll definitely be watching your journey, I’m quite happy you picked Excalibur as it was also my first frame, also from what I remember the Radial Blind can make some bosses, very easy to cheese.
I actually played Warframe before I ever tried Destiny, did about 1200 hours before I got burnt out. Tried out Destiny when Shadowkeep released, and I was absolutely hooked! Great story and characters, tons of exotics to collect. All these crazy subclasses and weapons to try out, and of course the raids and dungeons. But after a couple years, I was totally over it. Every season was just doing the same activities and bounties I'd been doing for the past 3 years. I was doing stuff I absolutely hated just to make sure I finished the season pass on time so I didn't miss out on the rewards. The big difference of Warframe for me is the sheer variety of stuff you can do. The devs have found a way to keep adding lots of new content while still making it a priority to make the existing stuff more fun to play. Like, I can only play "The Arms Dealer" so many times before it just becomes absolutely boring. The only way to make progress in D2 is to grind missions, whether it's PvP, PvE, the same Master Nightfall over and over for a week... and the reward you get is new Eververse skins for you to spend money on in the store. Warframes F2P model allows you to have a million different options for either making account progress, or making Paid currency to buy skins without using money. Some people literally spend all their time breeding companions for the perfect combination and can sell them for platinum. Can you imagine being able to earn Silver for playing the game in Destiny?? Instead they give us bright dust so we can buy a shader change the color of one of our 300 ghost shells. I feel like Destiny had such an opportunity to absolutely crush it, and instead it feels like they've blundered at every step. Hopefully it's better now, I haven't played since I wasted my money on the Lightfall expansion. edit: I read this back after I typed it and I feel like I went a little too hard at Bungie. D2 is an amazing game, there's a lot of content... but once you're caught up I feel like it loses it's luster. Warframe is a game I've stopped playing like 6-8 times now, but I always end up coming back. And I feel like I'll never be able to get truly caught up with how fast they add massive amounts of content. I guess the infinite level scaling for enemies doesn't hurt either. So in summary, I think you'll really enjoy the game, just don't burn yourself out or you'll end up like I am with the Destiny franchise right now.
Warframe is great! My only main grip is that some lore is locked through past events and never returned- though the game play brought in through the events has stuck around, and fortunately those main story one-off events no longer happen. Dev's also have such a different vibe from destiny. There's 1 or 2 dev streams a month where the current lead dev, and former lead dev (and many other head devs!) live stream talking about what thayre currently working on (avoid for spoilers!). Also its possible to get matched into random games with devs when they play.
Warframe is one of the few games where the lore implys one Warframe is equivalent to an army of enemy units and when you get to the gameplay it completely fits.
Kinda like the meme “the character as a boss vs the character when you get them” but in warframe you get what you see.
For real, I'd rather have one Revenant than one hundred thousand Grineer.
It actually still doesn't; you're more than an army. You are all armies plus one, bare minimum.

The I NEED FORMA is sooo relatable
I have been playing Warframe for years and there are two quotes that still give me chills every time and that is lotus saying "wake up tenno" and "rap tap tap rap tap TAP"

Welcome tenno,
Warframe has a learning curve, but the community is ALWAYS open to helping.
Everything you see in the market that is a weapon or warframe you can farm. The only thing you need platinum (games premieum currency) for is really just the cosmetics (which the community dub as fashionframe/the true end game)
Game is very story driven, but also has many activities to play that revolves around squads.
And again, do not hesitate to ask for help, the community will help, and even carry you through harder missions if needed.
Glad I found this. Havent seen the intro missions in over 10 years and forgot how they went

Tip #1 in Warframe:
Mobility is key.
Tip #2:
After mastering your starter frame, you need to know what frame suits your playstyle and grind to get that.

If you want do it early try wait to point when you finish big story mission called Second dream.

my only gripe will be the new player experience
It's abit on the head but the rest can make up for it!
The moment you reach "the second dream", there is no going back, the storyline just ramps up
Warframe is a journey.
A baby Tenno has been born! We must Give him more Guns!😂

As someone who recently introduced new players to this game my biggest recommendation is simple if you're on PC:
Try playing around with KB&M a bit, as the movement is much more fluid, even if it takes some getting used to.
Good luck, and always remember:
Ordis has a volume slider in the options for a reason.
ORDIS IS NO MORE! but yes i'll give it agooo
Warframe is the GOAT
Hope I can have the same opinion as you soon 😁
@@DaRealLloydywill you do a review sometime down the line?

Cetus is not THE open world area, it's one of four open world areas.
This game is massive
The core gameplay is so satisfying even after many hours
We've come a long way in 5 months.
Yeah, that sucks. but I could always watch lores videos, so it cool. Thanks for the heads up!
Glad to have you on board, Tenno :D
