My granddaughter saved a bee, we placed it in a bowl with flowers, gave it some sugar water. It was in my kitchen for two days, I kept thinking it must be dead by now.. no, we sat on the doorstep with the bowl, it flew off about a meter, then came back landed on her hand and then flew away.. the best THANK YOU ever. Truly blessed to have that experience.

How many trillions of "It just so happened" does it take for a rational mind to conclude, 'It did not 'just so happen': all of this was created from incredible design." I submit that God in the book of Genesis is Occam's Razor that truthfully declares how the creation came about.

Of course, this could all be a fabrication of the mind and we could be wrong, but there's no guarantee that you are correct, either. This is not a dichotomy. It doesn't require intelligence for it to produce intelligent animals such as bees, or even Calvin. Virtually 100% of the many thousands of scientists working in the biological sciences, (excepting a very few fundamentalist religionists), have no problem with natural selection. And we also know that simple heuristics can produce complex behaviour. Bees evolved from a common ancestor they shared with wasps and ants. No magic required. Calvin, and those like him, should read Darwin's Origin of Species or the Descent of Man, magnificent expositions of how evolution works, even though modern science has made great progress since then. Those books are quite heavy going, and therefore time consuming, so a search online for 'theory of evolution by natural selection' will yield shorter, modernised descriptions. It's not difficult.

@@spamm0145 Symbiotic relationships and homeostatic control have both been shown to be evolved processes through trial and error. I believe in God, too, but I think that God has developed the world through naturalistic processes, such as cosmic microwave background radiation, entropy, and evolution. Surely, an omniscient god would be capable of creating the universe through both random chance and purposeful driving forces? The evidence points us towards naturalistic processes like evolution: an undeniable fact.

@@MastaE2288 We call such relations symbiotic relationships, and evolution actually explains them very well! For instance, the endosymbiotic cell theory displays how prokaryotic cells engulfed by larger ones evolved to become mitochondria and chloroplasts, allowing multicellular life to evolve! Many such relationships are also based on interactions between organisms in a specific environment. As such, the ancestors of bees interacted with the first angiosperms in such a way that they were able to transfer pollen from anthers and stigma, reducing the tendency of angiosperms to pollinate one another via the wind. This is why we see two different types of pollination, wind and insect, today, as the latter developed a symbiosis with the ancestors of bees and other pollinators today. Evolution certainly provides an answer for the entirety of the development of life!

Nowhere did you give evidence that bees use the optimal route, but it would be interesting to see what "algorithm" the bees actually use. The "nearest neighbor algorithm" can be suboptimal, but is usually pretty efficient & I wonder if bees use it. This is not to knock any sentiments about G-D expressed here, which I happen to agree with. P.S. I'd love to hear Darwinian biologists try to explain the bee sound effect on flowering plants; it would be comical.

8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses...

This is wonderful! Plants can also ''see'' and react to different objects (even man-made ones), plants also communicate through the mycellian network kilometers around and inform other plants nearby of a potential danger so that they can protect themselves by producing irritating or poisonous substances. Some trees have symbiotic relations with insects providing them with shelter and food in exchange of protection. They also recognize their own progeniture and manage to bring them the nutriments they need when they need them. Somehow (and I have no idea if this is true), I always had the feeling trees needed birds and their songs to grow and thrive in a kinda symbiotic relation as well. To answer your question in a logical, scientific way, I would speak to the fact that we can see without a doubt, that humans have collectively since the beginning of our existence, always looked to a higher power for our source of existence and our purpose. This is a phenomenon that is inherent, innate, and instinctual in most humans. It is something that can be quantified and measured and proven very easily.
This is the starting point for a logical, rational investigation to the quest for searching for God.
The next step would be to verify the most accurate, verifiable, and compelling evidence surrounding this phenomenon, at least from a scientific, psychological, and philosophical standpoint, which is exactly what I have done.
Are used to be agnostic/atheist, leaning in that I was more convinced of metaphysics than anything. But I am also very analytical, and when I found enlightenment, lacking and fulfillment, waning, I asked myself if perhaps immersing myself in the product, instead of the source of the product, was making me miss the mark entirely.
Since I have worked in psychology and various therapies for many years, it was not hard for me to set aside my bias and my world view, to perhaps evolve a little more.
So that is exactly what I did, and I begin to investigate the Bible, and what I found was undeniable, unequivocal, literary evidence, that even top atheist scholars could not disprove.
I found that the Bible is literally the most historically, authenticated book of its magnitude ever written, with thousands of primary sources that are so close in comparison and context, spanning thousands of years, languages and miles, it was nothing short of supernatural, especially considering that it was relayed by oral tradition for the most part, for thousands of years.
The only thing that atheist scholars generally disagree on when debating the Bible, are the supernatural aspects, and so they throw out the massive historical wealth of this piece of ancient, eastern antiquity, simply because they cannot explain the Supernatural accounts with in the text. Even though these accounts have thousands of primary witnesses, which is unheard of and has never been seen at that magnitude before, in the history of the world.
Don’t be like those atheist scholars. They have seen the truth, and they reject it simply because they do not understand how things can happen supernaturally. Yet they are the ones who cannot actually explain how they believe we came into existence, without a Supernatural cause.
It makes no sense. The Bible? Makes perfect sense. If actually read it with unbiased eyes and an open mind.
And the “theory” as I call it? It is in John 3:16-17, Acts 16:30-31, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9.

As both an entomologist specializing in social insects (and a former beekeeper) and a Christian (yes, such people exist!), I want to commend you for a wonderful and informative video. I'd also like to point out that none of the molecular biologists have been able yet to produce a single living cell from scratch, which should make nonbelievers question their position. However, I would like to point out the following as well:
    1) The speed and length of the straight part of the wagtail dance ("beeline") indicate the distance to the food source--the faster the bee goes, the closer is the food source. The greater the wagging, the greater is the potential food at that site. It is also my understanding that when the sun is directly overhead (which happens in the tropics), there is a very short span during which the bees don't dance because they can't use the sun as a reference.
    2) Your video shows bumble bees (Bombus) and some solitary bees as well as honey bees. The former two groups do not engage in such dances. Referring to "the humble bee" is a bit tricky because in some areas, such as in the UK, that term has been used for the bumble bee.

    • @bobjacobson858
      @bobjacobson858 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@walter6574 Of course that's an excellent question. One basic starting point is that even the best molecular biologists and specialists in related fields have never been able to create a living cell "from scratch". If one can't create this on purpose despite the knowledge we have, at least to me it seems unrealistic to believe it could happen by chance...and then progress from that to multicellular organisms, and eventually to humanity. I like to joke that no matter how many times I take some sheet metal, rubber and plastic and throw them up in the air, I'm never going to end up with them assembling themselves into a new car...and of course even some of the simplest organisms are more complicated than a car. I doubt there would have been enough time even for all the possible combinations of atoms and then compounds to form even one molecule of DNA if it were based on "coin tosses".
I'm sure that you are aware of the concept of entropy, and that left on their own, that things tend toward randomness. Therefore, at least for me and many others, it would take more faith to believe that random chemicals could come together to form cells and then eventually evolve to humanity than to believe a Creator could intentionally make humanity and every other living thing...and in any case, where would the chemicals in space have come from?
It largely boils down to a belief in a supreme being--once a person believes that much, then it's not difficult to believe that life could be created. I believe microevolution takes place, in the sense that changes occur to living species. However, no one has really seen macroevolution, and there are alternate explanations for the occurrence of fossils and where they are located. The Bible talks about the creation of distinct "kinds" which could represent genera and individual species, and it may be that one can't change into another (macroevolution). I used to believe in macroevolution, but then I realized the biblical account in Genesis doesn't really allow sufficient time for this. Some people contend that each "day" mentioned in Genesis 1 could really represent thousands or millions of years--however, for day there was "evening and morning" which suggests "days" as we know them. According to at least one website, apparently "dragons" were actually dinosaurs.
I hope this is of some help. I'm still studying this subject, and have a long way to go.

You are a Christian. I have degrees in Biology, and Electronics, have worked for 20 years as a Semiconductor Chemist, and 13 as a Hazardous Materials Tech/Radioactive Materials Specialist. Despite your nice video, this neither destroys Evolution nor does it in any way prove "intelligent design" and thus a Creator. Evolution is a FACT, well supported by ALL branches of science, to the extent that, without it being a fact, you would not have the technology to create this nice video. Contrary to your assertion that Evolution has "simplistic explanations," it is a quite complex subject that has many corollaries that are NOT obvious. (You may not be aware that Gregor Mendel, an Augustinian monk, laid the ground work in Genetics that supports Evolution. Also, you may not be aware of the E.coli Long Term Evolution Experiment of Drs. Richard Lenski and Jeffery E. Barrick, which reached 75,000 generations in 2022.)

According to Genesis, in what order were the land animals, man, and women created? This “simple” question has two different answers. According to Genesis 1:24-27, God creates the land animals (vv. 24-25), and then man and woman (vv. 26-27). However, in Genesis 2:7, God creates man, and then in v. 19 creates animals, and in v. 22 creates woman. Thus, the commonly heard idea that Genesis 2 is an elaboration upon Genesis 1, filling in various details, does not work-the two accounts tell different stories.
And before you give me the standard apologist answer that one chapter compliments the other
Genesis: 1 credits Elyon the head of the Canaanite pantheon of gods
Genesis: 2 credits El-Yahweh the god assigned to Israel by Elyon
    *The bible tells me so*
    Deuteronomy 32:8-9 (Dead Sea Scrolls)
When Elyon divided the nations, when he separated the sons of Adam, he established the borders of the nations according to the number of the sons of the gods. Yahweh’s portion was his people, [Israel] his allotted inheritance.
So why would you give credit to a 2nd tier Canaanite god? One of 70 other gods.

Not all scientists are evolutionists. Have you never heard of Luther Burbank? He was medieval monk who did experiments on plants on genetic traits before genetics was even discovered. He was even before Darwin and the evolutionists. His experiments were with cross-pollenation of plants that were in his garden. While the plants usually pollenated themselves or depended on bees, he would manually take the male pollen from one to another to see if some of the traits of the "doner" would transfer to the other plants. He kept a journal to keep records of the results.

[19] because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. [20] For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, [21] because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. [22] Professing to be wise, they became fools, [23] and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man-and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. [24] Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, [25] who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Did I miss the part where you explained why the current navigation system of bees could not possibly have evolved from an ever so slightly less beneficial one which, in turn, would have evolved from an even less beneficial one and so on?
If not, let's grant, for the sake of argument, the false dichotomy of God vs evolution. Interpreting the video very generously, let's assume that the point is that bees cannot naturally perform the sorts of calculations they do (given their current form, regardless of origin) but require God's direct and continuous intervention to do so. Even so, this is nothing more than a poorly stated claim with no evidence whatsoever presented to back it up.
In other words, this argument would be about as meaningful as to say, "Smartphones require divine intervention to run, therefore they could not possibly be created by humans."

The biggest problem with evolution is that while it claims all life came through a very slow, iterative process, we don't see evidence of the number of iterations that it would require. We should see thousands of species with slight variations roaming the earth, or at least in the fossil record. It is illogical that only the final product of each species survive would survive.

And that is exactly what we do see. There ARE thousand sof species and there is variation within those species. Before you ask, all living things are transitional forms. You are the transitional form between your parents and your children. You don;t look exactly like them, your kids won;t look exactly like you.

No, we don't see them. We should see thousands of HAPLOTYPES. In other words we should see many different kinds of Giraffe groups. Some with short necks, some with longer legs, some with black spots, etc. Same with every species.
It does not make sense that only ONE haplotype should be singularly successful while ALL others go extinct.
The other problem with evolution is that it is not sophisticated enough to create such complex organisms. The early flagellum (tail) of microorganisms worked like a modern car motor and it would have required such specificity in each of its design components, no "evolution" could have led to such a home run of sophistication.
There are books written on this topic, but mainstream science refuses to acknowledge these massive holes.
