My mother's birthday was on Halloween. I never liked to dress up and the one time I did go trick or treating I was pushed to the ground, mugged and all my stuff stolen. I'm 70 years old now and my mother is in heaven. I do not recognize Halloween. I spend it like any other day, praising Jesus 👑🙏💞✝️🐾🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯
Jesus is the only way to heaven Being a good person won’t get you there. “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 ESV Repent from your sin(disobedience to God) and turn to God and follow Him so that you will be saved “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 ESV “No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3 ESV//
My son was given a track during Halloween from a church, we read it together, and he asked Jesus to be his savior. Thank God for that church who thought outside of the box, and used a pagan day to witness to the lost.
The issue is that seems to rarely happen from such things. I think you can celebrate God in everything. We are asked to pray for our enemies as well. But Halloween is the same day as Martin Luther day- Probably not a coincidence since he faced off against the corruption of the Catholic Church with his thesis nailed to the door. The same church that really likes to go out of its way to adopt pagan practices. Not to mention the fact that there have been some of the most prolific Satanist leaders that say Halloween is a great day to open the door for children that don't know any better. I get the idea of trying to counter that, but I don't think it's necessary. I honestly wish we could hand out things for Passover! That would be nice. But it's not how things are done. Instead of handing out some candy and stuff on Halloween, what about volunteering in the community, offering a hand to someone in need etc....I think that's much better though it's also more challenging for sure. I have given out religious items for Halloween a few years and I doubt one child responded positively to it. Most just throw it onto the ground, we had a kid knock our entire bowl of candy and religious stickers down the stairs and the hallway. Watched him do it through the eyehole as we were getting ready to leave with our kids. I like silly stuff like "the only ghost here is the holy ghost" but without meat to the statement it doesn't really do anything. I plan to light my patio blue for Israel at this time. Perhaps I will put out religious decor. But I think it's a fine line between leading kids to the light using this kind of holiday, and just supporting the holiday for it's satanic and Paegan roots...
@@mackenziebodie9I think you're discounting the Holy Spirit honestly. To think that your child would not have come to Christ if it were not for one Halloween trinket or whatnot. That is pretty grim. I think it's beyond that. Sure, maybe that one thing pushed him over at that moment. But to think it otherwise would Not have happened at all or for a long time... Is a very negative view of the Holy Spirit. We all have different circumstances through which we come to accept salvation. Perhaps if I had not been getting stoned with marijuana I would not have paid attention to the versus leading me to study the Bible, and to knowing Christ better and accepting his salvation... I'll never know while in this life (or until Jesus wills it). But I have faith that regardless of that I would've been saved. After all it says our names are already in the book. He already knows who will be saved and who will refuse.

I went to a church in which we participated in a trunk or treat. We had to go into the building for something, only to discover some of the members of the church had decorated it as a very gory haunted house. The complete disconnect and inappropriateness of the bloody zombies so near the cross woke me up, no longer “celebrate” Halloween.
When I was the kid the church, I attended it in our little town at a community center and they always threw a Halloween party for the children of the community so I grew up celebrating Halloween. I didn’t know the connection at that time.
Maybe they thought nothing of it because it really doesn't mean nothing to them. It's not like they are glorifying it... I guarantee most kids do it for the candy and that's about it.
When my daughter was born, I made a point never to do Halloween. No candy, not anything. I told her the things that came from Satan, pagan, etc. She is 40 now and says thanks, Mom.

Shadow is part of Light, and it is important to recognize this important part of the psychological Self. Improperly recognized and dealt with, the psychological shadow self can yield unwanted and undesired consequences. Running from one’s own shadow isn’t healthy. Running from needed psychological change will not help one grow as a thinking being, but will stunt growth and increase the chance for abnormal psychological conditions to crop up. Thank you for this! You did a great job presenting why Christians should not celebrate a day of death. Jesus beat death at the cross. We should be celebrating life!
Yes, I know. I was speaking in general of Halloween in itself is all about death. Ghosts, skeletons, vampires, horror movies. I chose to celebrate life, living.
We never celebrated Halloween or the fall festivals at church. One year we decided we were going to dress up and do my churchs fall festival. A few days before, i had a nightmare, Too long to explain, but there was a man in a hat, i saw him and terror fell over me and i woke up instantly. I sat in bed for a second and my heart was racing. My wife instantly woke up in a panic and said she saw the man from my daughter's nightmare in our room. I said what man!? She had a nightmare a few minutes prior to me waking up where she saw a man with a hat in her room. My other daughter down the hall (she was 2 or 3) woke up crying. I knew there was an evil spirit in the house and i said i think this is about Halloween, i said what time is it, my wife in horror said its 10:31. I said thats it, nope, we aint having anything to do with it. That was Gods sign to me to not take part. Every year we explain this story to fellow Christians. I always tell them the same thing, look up its roots, you aint changing my mind!
Wow! Thank you for sharing this experience! I just stopped celebrating Halloween 2 years ago, after celebrating for 41 years! I watched a video a few days before Halloween then and it completely convicted me to have nothing to do with it.
One Halloween I was visiting my parents. We were watching "The Night of the Living Dead" The old one. I was sitting on the end of the couch and my Mother was stretched out sleeping. Then she started kicking me. I looked at her and she started having a WEIRD seizure. Her stomach went up and she arched her back so abnormal she broke her back. The Doctors could never find a reason for the seizure. My Daddy said it was because of Halloween and that movie, and NEVER celebrate it again! That was the only seizure my Mother ever had in her life, not before or ever afterwards. Stupid Halloween. I'll be glad when it's over. Tired of the ads.
@jacquelynking2184 every Halloween i have to explain to Christians why we dont celebrate it (ironically non Christians are never the ones surprised to hear we dont). But like i tell them, I don't judge you for doing it, but God specifically told me not to, so dont waste your time trying to convince me otherwise! I know what happened, just like you do with your experience!
Thank you for sharing! This is so convicting. What happens when we decide to give in to temptation of pagan traditions as Christians. I will tell your story to my family who mostly won’t understand when we decide not to partake in Halloween. It’s an invitation to darkness. No thank you!
My church celebrates “fall” apparently changing the name of Halloween and celebrating it on a different date than the 30th means they’re not celebrating Halloween… they fail to realize they’re still celebrating it because why other would they give out candy and let kids dress up (non scary or witch costumes but still)… makes no sense.
This year, we purchased a case of crayon packs, and I handcrafted mini colouring books that go through Genesis 1 (NCV) telling the story of creation week. All the kids who come knocking on our door will receive these.
That is not true. I think receiving a Bible message instead of sugar is a perfection reaction to the action which literally comes knocking on the door. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. You have to actually interact with the evil to overcome it with good@@theeternalsbeliever1779
“ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” - Ephesians 5:11 KJV “Abstain from all appearance of evil.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:22 KJV
I agree with scripture and obviously with what was posted. However, is appearance of a pumpkin, or banana, or a princess or a doctor or an astronaut, etc, “dark” and “evil”? Is accepting candy from your neighbor to enjoy it “dark” and “evil”? Honestly curious.
Because it’s not “Halloween” it’s “harvest” celebration lol. Apparently they change the name and it’s no longer Halloween. Even though they pass out candy and lets kids dress up although they’re not allowed to dress up as witches… makes me upset on the contradiction when they’re suppose to be an example!
Very strange to me too! I grew up in a Pentecostal home and absolutely wasn't allowed to participate in anything Halloween. My christian friend from highschool was the one that invited me to trunk or treat at her church. I felt so uncomfortable and all I could think about was the terrible things that Satan does on that day, it's his day. The year after my church started to hold popcorn/movie night for the kids, no dressing up or trick or treating just fun for the kids and prayer afterwards. I felt like a fortress of protection over the church. I felt so at peace.
Amen AIG! I'm all in with you on this. Never celebrated it as a child and still don't. When I was saved, I was delivered from the occult so I have some strong feelings on this one. 🙂🙏✝️
@@happy_bubble7Me too!!! I grew up in a "Christian Catholic" home that also was into experimenting with Buddhism, Hinduism, Wiccian arts, and Paegan...my mom got me a very old manual for spells and lunar rituals. It opened me up to attacks from the spirit world and I was trying to practice white magic, believing I could believe in God AND practice...that there were lesser Gods to worship as well as God the Almighty. But that's an easy slip with a polytheistic religion like Catholicism. They worship saints after all. Which is obviously anti-biblical and anti-Christ's message. Not to mention the fact that the Bible alludes to anyone who follows Jesus being a saint. Lol saints are not extra special people that the Catholic Church dictates whether or not they have that title. But the Catholic church also loves to take holidays like December 25th from worship of the Sun God to worship Jesus... Or at least Mary... It was in part to draw people from those other cultures and religions to their church, and also to try to use celebration to hide the fact that they were persecuting actual Christians. Jesus was very likely to have been born during the festival of sakat in late September/early October. But I agree that it's crazy how popular witchcraft has become. Even though things like the craft and practical magic were starting to pick up speed when we were in school... It still seem to be sort of a "cult following". And now it's so mainstream and celebrated. What's even creepier as a homeschool parent is discovering how much of our history is seated in lies revolving around Catholicism, and how many of the forefathers were anti-christian but also people like Ben Franklin known to be Satanists and people like George Washington hated pretending to be Puritan so much that they decided to join the Catholic Church. Not to mention the attacks mounted on Quakers which were the most biblically accurate as far as Christianity went at the time. So this definitely all makes sense biblically as well as just logically looking at the gradual decline of society in the spiritual way if you look closely considering your sources. But it still is shocking in many ways. Especially in the sense that many churches that claim to be Christian seem to be completely blind to it. In high school a fancied myself a rebel and I had several Christian friends that grew up in very Christian church going families that would make fun of me for being into witchcraft. Now many of them are addicted to alcohol and/or drugs and I think are into witchcraft. And I thank God that I am saved. Brilliant arguments ...the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. What struck me anew is that anyone who hates the Lord, loves death. The deception concerning the pagan worldview...Anyone who loves the world cannot love God. You either love the one master and hate the other. We cannot be lukewarm any longer. Thankyou for emphasizing the absolute necessity of believing every Word that comes from the Mouth of God...the Bible
People who don’t believe in god usually don’t love death as you claim. We love life. For most of us we believe death is the end, so we celebrate the ones who have died alrdy and we make the most of the life we have. Death is inconsequential in most religions as heaven and hell exist so you will live on forever no matter what.
It is SOOO difficult to get away from Halloween. I participated in total ignorance as a child and young adult. I'm trying to keep my little boy out of the Halloween trap, and although I HAVE NEVER TAUGHT him about Halloween (4 yrs old), SOMEHOW he knows about it and is facinated. I can't believe it. Every corner you turn, every channel, kids at the park, at the store, decorations in yards all over the neighborhood... on and on and on! BUT we will stand our ground. No more bending our knee to the Devil on October 31st.
Same with my 3 and 4 year old! We used to watch toddler shows on TH-cam but we stopped completely because every time the show we chose was over, a Halloween kid show would cut on. This was in the summer too, no where near the season. We no longer watch TH-cam and we explained to them on their level, what Halloween really is. Now that we’re nearing the date, more shows are airing their Halloween segments and every time a show comes on that is about Halloween, they yell Halloween is on, change it!!!

The mistaken ecceptance of evolution is not a salvation issue. Rather, it is a crack, a big one imho, in their spiritual armor that can weaken their defense of the faith.
Oh my, watching Cosmos by Carl Sagan was instrumental in my salvation. I was not a believer, in fact thought Christianity was foolish, but I had to turn that show off. It felt so evil and subliminally satanic. It was the first time I acknowledged that there could be ultimate evil, leading me to believe in the ultimate goodness of Christ as the only Savior.
Holy Interstellar Anomalies, Batman! How in the world can you intentionally intimate the idea of Cosmos being in any manner, Satanic??? That’s almost like trying to draw out elements of “wokeness” from the Brady Bunch Movie. Cosmos is about one person’s perception of the Universe from the 1970’s. @@TheFirefishe LOL Well, science IS horror-laden in many ways! It’s a crazy world we live in. But no, knowledge does not scare me. I love learning. There are a lot of people who seem to be blissfully (and willfully) ignorant to reality. In my early 20s, my pursuit WAS knowledge. I was searching for truth, so I read a lot and watched a lot of documentaries. I remember saying, “Wow, that’s cooler than God!” as Into the Cosmos explained DNA. When it came to evolution, for the first time in my life, I noticed “the missing link.” Evolution had been taught to me as 100% fact, even though it’s called a “theory.” I suddenly realized the hubris of my earlier statement, my admiration of the creation over the Creator, my willingness to believe a lie without question if it came from authority. That was what was terrifying. Thank God that He opened my eyes to the brainwashing. It starts when we are so young. It’s a miracle people can even wake up from it at all. Many scientists agree we aren’t here by random chance. There is evidence of intelligent design all around us. Scientific theories that include the big bang and evolution aren’t even provable. Wow so much of it is wrong and some of it we can’t tell. Let’s throw away what isn’t true and then try to prove the stuff we can’t tell but we can’t use the book because it wasn’t right about everything so we know we can’t trust it.

Personally I have an absolute hatred for this holiday. By family presures I felt like I had no choice but to go along somewhat. The same way with Christmas. I was raised Catholic and all the day represented was presents. Trying to stand strong for the Lord Jesus Christ is my only goal. God bless my brothers and sisters in Him
Christmas is syncretistic too (a mixing of paganism to Christianity) which originated in the Roman Catholic Church. Just ask yourself where does Christmas come from? The Bible or the culture? It's no where in the Bible.
A bit of both, I'd say. While the Bible doesn't say 'Xmas' or mention Christmas caroling and eggnog, it speaks of Jesus' birth and the wise men giving gifts. The Bible doesn't mention Thanksgiving, 4th of July or most of our other holidays and yearly events either. At least not in the way they are generally celebrated today. I'm not implying you must celebrate anything, many people don't whether they're religious or not. Elements of Christmas I can understand people don't like but condemning Christmas as an event basing It on that the event isn't explicitly mentioned in the Bible is a bit of a stretch, I feel.
@@alfomo6670 Jesus' birth is not Christmas. There's nothing implying in the slightest a holiday with set traditions surrounding his birth which is no where stated as the 25th of December. Other holidays that are not explicitly about Christ would not come under such scrutiny.

Never celebrated it at home, mum and dad said it was satanic, "of the devil" and I trust my dad (RIP). At primary school it was kinda allowed, but not "celebrated", kids who wanted to dress up for it could and most did as it was a "no uniform" day & on that day there were some "decorations", all the Kmart junk! Either way, today it's a common thing at schools here. God help us all.

@@--..-...-..-.--.... Jesus was resurrected, brought back to life. 1. zombies don't exist. 2. zombies don't have life. God is not a "wizard", for wizards are nonexistent, and are bearers of magic (also nonexistent). God is all powerful and divine, and does not use "magic". Sacrifice's don't originate from Halloween, and Jesus was sacrificed in order to pay for our sins, and not in a form of worship. And last but not least. the Holy Ghost is not a literal ghost, it is the spirit of God that guides those who accept it into their soul/mind. Pickup a Bible (an actual translation such as NIV, NKJV, etc) and educate yourself on my religion before mocking it, and stop blindly listening to what the mainstream media, and public schools say about Christianity, and do your own research.

I only like Thanksgiving. Only holiday we celebrate . Its nice to get together with daughter and a nice dinner and actually Thank God for what he done for us
I was convicted about this holiday 2 years ago. For 40 years it was a big deal and couldn't wait for October. 2 years ago I threw all my decorations and horror movies in the trash! Best thing g I ever did! I just told our children I wasn't aware how evil this holiday was and it was about Satan not God and we were not celebrating it anymore. The following year I did some research on Easter. We still celebrate the resurrection of Christ but we don't do Easter bunnies or eggs or decorations.
That's because Chtistmas was placed where it was to literally usurp the holiday and some old traditions for the glory of God and it worked! God can make all things work together for good, and that includes turning a day that was used for evil on it's head and it being known as His day instead.
@@Elemiriel It would be good, however, for Christians to learn the origin so they can make their own choices with knowledge. I hear Christians say all the time things like, “They took Christ out of Christmas”, imagining that it was first a Christian holiday, and the pagans stole it. We need to be INFORMED. We actually took that date from the pagans, and instead of making it a birthday celebration for Christ, we kept the pagan practices like the tree. Who has a decorated tree on their birthday? I’m not judging people’s hearts or motives, but to just not teach the history at all is, in my opinion, a mistake.

This guy doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. He says Halloween connects back to sacrifices in genesis without any evidence to support halloween having anything to do with sin. Furthermore, and more importantly, he is twisting scripture. Cain did NOT offer the firstfruits of his crops as this guy says. That's a lie. He offered from the fruit of the ground but Abel from the firstborn of his flock. Firstfruits is a different Hebrew word than what is used there in genesis 4. The problem was cain didn't bring his best like Abel did. The issue is not blood. I know it's "answers in genesis" but has this guy not read literally the rest of the Bible? Leviticus and other places talk about grain offerings and drink offerings, neither of which has blood. Sacrifices don't have to have blood.
Thank you for your comment as it caused me to take a deeper look into Genesis 4 and discover some new insight. While I may agree with some or all your comments, I do think you need to work on your own heart. You don't exhibit the fruit of the Spirit and seem quite hostile towards a professing Christian. Could it be you have knowledge without the soft heart? I don't know, but examine yourself against what the scriptures say and judge yourself. There are many new testament commandments of how we are to treat others, especially professing Christian brothers and sisters. Work on that and you'll please God.
@justinwarner2088 thanks for the response. It's always a good reminder. I do think, however, that it is fair to come down harsher on those who put themselves in positions of authority on teaching the Bible and should definitely know better. It would be different if it was someone else.
October 31st is an opportunity to give invitations to attend your church and gospel tracks and candy as well. It is one of if not the only day of the year the world comes to your doorstep.
Great point indeed. I appreciate this perspective because it is a great time to spread the word, simultaneously taking part in just handing out candy and having a few laughs with costumes. I have to say from perspective, even I have limits on what to dress up as on Halloween. I don’t condone actual EVIL things like prostitutes, the devil, etc. if a kid wants dress up as a princess or a superhero, I see no issues at all.
Being light in a dark world is who we are called to be in Christ. It is His light we give, not any of ours. I know some people who give out flashlights and tell kids that God's Word is a light for you and I pray you read it.
The Christian church I go to used to have Halloween parties/Trunk or Treat up until a few years ago (because too many other places were having them), but we did something good with it. There were a lot of homeless people in the area and they would come to get something to eat. We did that for Christmas and Easter too. The day before Easter, we would have a pancake breakfast, and they would come to it. We would also have mission dinners (later changed to Community lunches after church) every 3rd Sunday. We stopped having them because too many other places were having them. They were "costume optional" parties, though. There was no "best costume competition" because they thought it wasn't fair. Some people at some churches would turn them away because they haven't been coming to the regular church services. Please don't do this! If my church had done this, I would have left and not gone back! When we were kids, my mother told me and my sister that this is what makes The Devil mad, Christians making something good out of something evil. She told us that he laughs when we use Halloween and other pagan holidays for evil.
What an absolutely fantastic and accurate presentation! As much as I've studied origins of many "holidays," I learned new info from this one. Now, if you will please do one on Saturnalia....
Such a excellent way of explaining this to everyone Pastor, I wish everyone would share share share this video 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for finally getting the word out about this.
Your childhood, like mine, was for a reason. I was raised taking part in Halloween and even has my son trick or treating with his cousins cause I wanted him to have relationship with them, him being autistic, but he hated putting on costumes and I should've taken that as a hint. Four years ago when I turned 40 I came back to Christ and stopped all Secular holidays...Sadly my family and mother still do and give my son gifts...I accept them as gifts but I don't put a tree up myself or any decorations. And lately as I have been reading my Bible more these last 4 years and praying more, my patience has gotten better in general and with my son with his autistic habits...and things have gotten a bit m I re peaceful for me
I am right there with you on that even though my girls really didn't have a chance to dress up and go out trick treating even though at there school they would dress up and have a walk around the school yard and pass out candy in there class. I probably did send candy for the class room. I don't think my girls dressed up though. I am a old grandma now I wish my daughter out in Arkansas would listen to this even though she does go to church. She said that she explains to her kids about Halloween. Will my opinion if she has to explain to her kids about Halloween why would you want to participate in it then. Just have some of their friends over on a Saturday afternoon and have a little cookout or a pizza party and games and have some treats and dessert for them. You can say it's a fall together nothing about Halloween. To hard headed if I only knew more myself back in my time slot of things would've had been different.
For some reason, Halloween has become really big here in Australia. Even before becoming Christian I simply didn't care about this holiday. Not only was I brought up being told it's an American holiday but dressing up as spooky things and going to strangers' houses doesn't appeal to me..
Demonic forces are getting stronger in Australia hiding behind ignorant parent and kids portraying halloween as innocent fun. As an ex South African we never even knew what halloween was until a few years ago. Always thought Americans were weird for celebrating evil. What’s most disturbing is that Christians celebrate and defend it. I just stick a note on my front door with Bible scriptures why we don’t take part in it. However handing out tracks might be a better idea.
People are now decorating for Halloween like it's Christmas. At one of the big hardware stores, they are selling extremely creepy, extremely large Halloween mechanical talking "beings" (for lack of a better word). There were witches, the boogie man, a 15' demonic thing with wings and red eyes, and some 20 foot black and white striped Jack Skellington, among others. The reason it has become so popular is because Satanism is on the rise and coming out for all to see. We even have a satan after school group that wants to set up in elementary schools and teach kids about satanism.
Im live in Australia too. I do a little talk back on a local Christian radio station. And I had said the same thing BC (beforr Christ) it just didn't make any sense to me. We tell our kids not to accept lollies from strangers so why on this particular day? Kinda defeats the purpose.
@@markdonnaabbott3977 Apparently there are 3 replies but I only see your's... Well, regardless, I agree with what you said. I get that it's meant to be fun, but even as a child I thought it was a creepy idea. If you just go to neighbours it's fine, but then there's the whole occult thing...
@serasugee This was my reply below, seems they don’t like my comment. Hope you can see it now? I grew up looking forward to Halloween every year and I’m not a satanist or believer in such. My faith has ALWAYS been very strong in Christ. People who dress up and go door to door for candy are NOT the same people who sit around an ouija board wearing black robes and upside down crosses and chant spells with cups of chicken guts. God knows our hearts. Same thing goes for Christmas! Many millions of Americans celebrate Christmas solely for the gifts. Some celebrate Christmas out of national peer pressure. Then you have some that truly believe in their heart their love for Christ and celebrate Him. I seriously believe that a parent who dresses their toddler up as a lady bug to get candy from their personal neighborhood friends is going to hell because of Satan worship. Look at your life through Heavens eyes, not through your own. It’s all in the heart and intention.
Have never celebrated Halloween in my life. This is a high holy day for witch covens across the country who cast spells and essentially practice summoning demons.
Come on... Jesus is a zombie, you believe in demons and angels, God is basically a magical wizard, Jesus offered himself as a human sacrifice, you believe in a holy GHOST, praying is summoning a spirit, etc. You already celebrate Halloween!
We as Christians don't celebrate pagan anything. We don't worship the created thing, but the Creator! (Romans 1:21-25), but we can't ignore Halloween either. So if someone gives your child a sticker with the witch on it, have your child give that person a gospel track! And if somebody comes to your door and says trick or treat, don't give them a trick, and don't give them a treat, give them the Gospel Truth! For that would be the greatest treat anyone could ever receive! (2 Timothy 4:2)
@@dustinryan9671 well sure we don't participate in Pagan rituals, but remember the natural man does not understand the things of the spirit of God, nor can they know God because they're spiritually dead. (1Cor.2: 14) so, what did Paul and Barnabas do in Lystra when the townspeople thought they were Zeus and Hermes? These people were pagans and they didn't understand the truth! (Acts 14:8-17) So Paul and Barnabas instead of telling them we don't participate in Pagan rituals, they did the better thing by loving their neighbor as themselves they proclaim the gospel! This is what need to do today, try to rescue some pagans out of the fire! (Jude 1:23)
I stopped celebrating Halloween I think since last yr. And its hard for my kids because unfortunately the devil makes these things look fun and innocent. But the Holy Spirit was convicting me on it. So we don't celebrate it. It came and went like nothing ever happened. So my church is having a "Fall Festival " but they will basically be doing Halloween just not calling it that. They will have trunk or treat and allow kids to wear costumes. I'm disappointed. I am now asking the Lord to lead my family to the right church. Because I don't like that they are showing its ok to compromise even if its on "small matters" . Even my oldest asked why they were Celebrating Halloween? I felt convicted to stop Halloween in my family but our church celebrates it under a different name. So yeah Im sad. But I know God will lead my family to the right church. I looked on other churches websites and many celebrate it under similar names. Only one straight up called it Halloween bash.
I went through the same thing last year! My youngest son has asked to go shopping for a costume and we walked around the store looking at everything in there.. It was just heavy on my soul not to do it.. Our church used to do the “trunk or treat”, now our tiny little town just shuts down Main Street and members of every church in town participate.. It is heartbreaking to see all of these churches hosting some type of event on that night. Sure it sounds better than going to some random neighborhood to trick or treat, but like you said it is compromising, the church is still allowing kids to dress up & celebrate that day! Why aren’t the Pastors explaining why we shouldn’t celebrate Halloween to the congregation before they try to host a Halloween event.
I’m an Adventist and Adventist so not do fall festivals or believe in satans holiday. Believe it or not all holidays are pagan Santa scrambled spells satan and Santa is a based off a pagan god. All holidays are man made. I was a witch for 17 years and came out of that and Halloween of course was my favorite and your not wrong satan does make Halloween look so called innocent or fun etc when really it’s not. He does the same with Christmas and Christ wasn’t even born in December. Or on the 25th. We actually don’t know the date or month.
Very true it’s hard to find a true church, no matter what they want to call it or compromise it, satanist celebrate it, everything has a reason, children shouldn’t wear costumes!!
Trunk or treat is the exact same thing as regular Halloween but for people who live in apartments where door to door trick or treating is hard to do, that should not be an alternative option! there’s literally no difference your still celebrating normal Halloween just out of your car because you have no front yard….
For years I have prepared for Halloween.... I get tracts, Bible coloring books that tell the story of redemption and give these out to the kids with candy. I also buy new testaments and adult treats, and make.up ziplock bags full of these for the adults who accompany them. I decorate the porch with Christ themed decorations.
@@kd5499 It's not "participating in Halloween." It's receiving the lost souls who come to my door with the love and truth of Christ. Maybe some of them will never have another chance to hear it. In my point of view, if the enemy wants to bring the mission field to my door for a.night, I'll do whatever I can to bring them the gospel. The enemy has no problem infiltrating us, for me personally I have no problem taking advantage of that theyre at my door.
As someone who opts not to celebrate Halloween, I think it would be wonderful if Christians who opted not to observe the holiday for solid biblical reasons and conviction would stop getting lambasted by their brothers and sisters in Christ for being legalistic, and attempting to be in the world but not of it. Anything not done out of conviction is sin. Stop being a stumbling block to your "weaker" brothers with strong moral consciences which object to pagan practices. Answer them with gentleness, grace, and accept their faith walk and the obedience they're showing to what Christ has shown them through their time in His Word, and in research and study of the issue in question.
It's important to take a stand against this and protect our kids. Christ speaks very harshly against those that lead kids into sin. Side note! October 31st is Reformation Day which is HUGE! Let's celebrate that 😁
Do you celebrate Christmas on December 25? Cause Jesus was probably born in the spring. December is often associated with the pagan holiday of Saturnalia, where most Christmas traditions come from. So if you are allowed to put up a tree and give presents, then you can celebrate Halloween.
@@Entomology314 just because pagans celebrate certain things on the same day as Christian holidays doesn't mean that the Christians are celebrating a pagan holiday.
Erecting a tree is a Christian tradition to bring attention to Christ in Heaven from the 1600's in Germany. It could even be traced back further to Saints in Europe teaching villagers to use it as a symbol of Christ in Heaven as opposed to pagan's worshiping Thor. Giving gifts is in remembrance of the Magi's gift to toddler Christ and looking to the commands of Eph 2:10 and Rev 19:8 and 1 John 4:12 loving others and doing good works is our faithfulness and love unto God. So yeah, I celebrate Christmas because it is a Christian holiday and I'm fine with it in the winter if it overrides a pagan holiday. What do you do for halloween? Engage in pagan practices? Or do you do practices that honour Christ? Halloween is a special night for my family - we meet with other believers, feast and pray. We do not dress up in honour of the dead as the pagan rituals demanded. So I am not here telling you what not to do, but if you follow Christ, everything you do must be unto Christ and for Christ and because of Christ.@@Entomology314
@@dracula3811 The fact that it is near the same day is not a coincidence. Jesus was not born in December. In fact, evidence from the Bible points to Jesus being born in spring. And many Christmas traditions are related to Saturnalia. I’m not saying that the ENTIRE holiday is pagan. I’m just saying that condemning Halloween for being pagan whilst still putting up a Christmas tree and exchanging gifts is pretty hypocritical.
No true Christian would celebrate Reformation Day either. Protestantism is a false religion that inherited many of the same satanic traditions that Catholicism perpetuated. God gade ve Christians the festivals they are supposed to celebrate in Lev. 23. _Those_ are the ones true Christians observe, not the counterfeit festivals of traditional Christianity.
I have given away all my decorations for Halloween and Christmas and all man's traditions that are not of God. I praise and give thanks to God every day. He has opened my eyes on things we should not do as Christians. I encourage everyone to do the same. God bless 🙏
If you have kids who come to your door for Trick or Treating (haven't had any in a long time, many tend to do the parties instead but these can have Pagan practices), you can give them a treat with a Gospel Tract for kids. Praise God for opportunities like this.
Come on... Jesus is a zombie, you believe in demons and angels, God is basically a magical wizard, Jesus offered himself as a human sacrifice, you believe in a holy GHOST, etc. You already celebrate Halloween!
I hope God opens your eyes to see His truth, satan is the reason why we have evil in the world, satan brings evil thoughts to the mind of people and people obey those thoughts, Jesus says, satan comes to kill, to steal, and to destroy, Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly, We should come to Jesus, repent of our sins And focus on obeying Gods Word, The Bible,Then we would have a better world, God our Creator has given Each person the ability to Choose, Our world is made better One person at a time,Blessings ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
I was sooooo not happy as a kid never getting to dress up... but we did the coolest parties & massive scavenger hunts with the adults driving us all around town. It was so much fun. (Way more than trick or treating)
I always tried to make birthdays masquerade parties, Christmas was always a scavenger hunt and kids enjoyed canning, dehydrating and freezing foods for harvest meals. Costumes are just plain fun, and should be incorporated into other, more loving areas. Themes, based on history, stories, it can be greatly varied and used to teach. Christmas is a time to celebrate and teach Jesus thoughout the world!
@razark9 growing up we just stayed in, closed our doors and went to sleep like any other day, I never missed Halloween because it is a day where evil is celebrated, when I turned teen I started to go out and steal ppl's bags of candy and that was my way of celebrating a day where everyone is celebrating evil and taking candy from strangers.....God changed that in me and I realized that anyone can have a fun time whenever they wanted to and noone has to wait for a specific time of year to do so.
@john-kj5wh first off, they never said it’s the only thing they consider fun. Second why does it matter how they spend their time off? Its their time they can do what they want if it isn’t hurting others. It’s not like they’re going around antagonizing people. You couldn’t even have a civil discussion without doing that. Not to mention there are Christians who go trick or treating. While you might call them lost, unsaved godhating people, they could say the same about you. After all both your belief systems come from either your interpretations or your mentors interpretations of the same book. Maybe you should reevaluate your Christianity.

Sadly, the American version of Halloween has spread to countries that never celebrated it. Someone suggested having a Halleluyah party if kids feel they're missing out. Dress up as angels, Bible characters and animals from creation. We put a sign up saying No Trick or Treat Thanks, copying one which the UK police make available. Our first sign said "We don't celebrate death, we celebrate life in Jesus Christ". Some trick-or-treaters were so angry, they tore it up.
Purple and green were colors I always associated with Halloween growing up. Lol Which I know isn't as popular as orange and black. Martin Luther day celebrating his willingness to call out the corrupt Catholic Church....is on the 31st. I find that pretty interesting considering the fact that Catholics were already known for taking the day of celebrating the Sun god December 25th, to celebrate the birth of Christ... Even though scholars now agree pretty solidly that Jesus was likely born during the festival of Sukkot. Which just passed in late September/early October. I grew up in a "Christian Catholic" family and they didn't shy away from their non-Biblical rituals yet barely spread knowledge of actual Biblical holy days. My Catholic school and church also was very into Halloween, almost just as much as Easter (Ishtar....?) And they did Santa and elves and other Paegan practices for Christmas too... My mom was pretty supportive of my experimentation with Wiccian and Paegan witchcraft. I found an old manual for how to sacrifice with an alter at certain times etc. (Starting with rotting food and similar). I was deceived into thinking this was ok and worked in line with God but no. I was opening myself up to many spiritual attacks and I thank God he had mercy on my soul. My husband and I were saved within weeks of one another a few years into our marriage. Saving it from the brink. Looking back on all that I was into...it seems like another life. He is the way ❤ הוא הדרך

Agree with so much of this. My 10 year old poses the question- WHY so much candy for all of these pagan holidays? Because it reaches the children, God’s beloved.
My son and his fiancee got married on Halloween. It was outdoors on a beautiful autumn day. No, no one wore costumes. It was traditional all the way. Just wish they had chosen a different day 😔
Trick-or-treating originated in Canada in the 1920s and had barely crossed into the norther U.S. before the Great Depression hit. That was followed by sugar rationing for World War II. So trick-or-treating didn't become popular throughout the U.S. until the 1950s.
Refusing to participate in Halloween isn't impossible! I did it with my kids for years!. I took them out of school and we did some other fun activity. During "trick or treat", we stayed in the basement watching a movie/eating popcorn. My reasons 1) pagan meaning of Halloween (look them up yourself) and 2) not taking my kids out to ask for candy FROM STRANGERS!!! There are no "redeeming features" to Halloween (unlike Christmas and Easter!!)
I love that "What's Biblically Wrong With This Picture" segment...it speaks volumes. A major source for the modern 'rebirth' of paganism is the Masonic Lodge.
Most holidays are pagan in origin. When I was into the occult, the most important day was Halloween (Sam Hain), followed by Yule (Christmas), Ostara (Easter), Beltane, Candlemas, Lammas, Mabon, and Litha. Of course, I practiced the darker 'arts' compared with most Wiccans. Thank God and praise Jesus, I have left that demonic lifestyle behind.

Heretical prayer: O Mother of Perpetual Help, thou art the dispenser of all the gifts which God grants to us miserable sinners; and for this end He has made thee so powerful, so rich, and so bountiful, in order that thou mayest help us in our misery. Thou art the advocate of the most wretched and abandoned sinners who have recourse to thee: come to my aid, for I recommend myself to thee. In thy hands I place my eternal salvation, and to thee I entrust my soul. Count me among thy most devoted servants; take me under thy protection, and it is enough for me. For, if thou protect me, I fear nothing; not from my sins, because thou wilt obtain for me the pardon of them; nor from the devils, because thou art more powerful than all hell together; nor even from Jesus, my judge, because by one prayer from thee He will be appeased. But one thing I fear: that in the hour of temptation I may through negligence fail to have recourse to thee and thus perish miserably. Obtain for me, therefore, the pardon of my sins, love for Jesus, final perseverance, and the grace ever to have recourse to thee, O Mother of Perpetual Help. This is a legit Roman Catholic prayer, look up "O Mother of Perpetual Help" if you want to know if it’s legit. This is super heretical. This doctrine of invoking departed saints doesn’t seem just like "hey it’s like praying to a friend.". .

My son was given a track during Halloween from a church, we read it together, and he asked Jesus to be his savior. Thank God for that church who thought outside of the box, and used a pagan day to witness to the lost.
Do you think he might have been given a little nudge by mommy and daddy and the culture he was born into?
@paulmakara792 why are you discounting the work of the Spirit through Godly people using every opportunity to teach others about Christ?

Giving children social experiences with other children not of their own socioeconomic background is an opportunity for them to learn tolerance and compassion for others.
Halloween has been around for a while, and, unless one is a modern neopagan practitioner of one of the revivalist paths, such as Wicca or Heathenry, and Samhain means something to you, I’d enjoy the American Traditional Halloween in its commercial and social sense, and enjoy watching your children dress up in scary costumes.
I’m aware of its history, but that’s not what the majority of modern people practice, anymore.

I always checked my kids out of school, they did not participate in anything Halloween, I would take them out to pizza and games and they have always said that was some of the greatest memories was me coming and picking them up from school they had a lot more fun than they would’ve had at school. We didn’t do any type of trunk or treat either, darkness has no business in light
@Quint-ib4nf my daughter is now 36 and my son is 34 and both of them say some of the best memories they ever had was me picking them up from school before the school Halloween pagan ritual and taking them out to an arcade, pizza etc. so exactly how is that punishment? I guess saving souls is a punishment to you? So having your kids be saved and serving God is that a punishment too?
And you created a different way of celebrating Halloween and it no different than Trunk or treat.
Dealing with these things in a practical and down-to-earth matter will save months and years of therapy.

All you that have come from that background need to speak up loudly in your church and communities
But it's been sad noticing them go in the opposite direction....😢

Thank you so much for this sermon. I am returned to church and have been reconsidering the pagan celebrations and how im going to remove them from my family.
Personally I have an absolute hatred for this holiday. By family presures I felt like I had no choice but to go along somewhat. The same way with Christmas. I was raised Catholic and all the day represented was presents. Trying to stand strong for the Lord Jesus Christ is my only goal. God bless my brothers and sisters in Him
Could you explain your aversion to Christmas a bit more? My understanding of these topics is still fairly shallow
Catholicism has nothing to do with presents. 🤔

I dont even celebrate my own birthday much less any other holidays.
There are a lot of pagan practices in Christmas celebrations, too,but I rarely hear sermons on it.

Thank you for this! We were just talking about looking for an Answers in Genesis teaching on Halloween!

And lately as I have been reading my Bible more these last 4 years and praying more, my patience has gotten better in general and with my son with his autistic habits...and things have gotten a bit m I re peaceful for me
God let's you go through things fo4 a reason though, as a test to come to him and trust him
Yeah, but would we have listened?

Wow! Great teaching. Praise God!
(2 Timothy 4:2)
actually based. i have to specify that now
You don't let your kid take it. You hand it back and tell them as Christians and service of Jesus we are prohibited from engaging in pagan rituals.
(Jude 1:23)
14:45 - Co-Opting!
Oh man, wait till you find out Chrismas and Easter are Pagan
Your inticts are right
Wrong church ! God Bless you Jesus Christ will show you the way Amen!
Please do one on Paganism in Christmas! no one wants to talk about that.
Trunk or treat is the exact same thing as regular Halloween but for people who live in apartments where door to door trick or treating is hard to do, that should not be an alternative option! there’s literally no difference your still celebrating normal Halloween just out of your car because you have no front yard….
Lots of churches do the trunk or treat in their parking lots.
That's what I'm wrestling with...
Yea, this church that I am visiting does trunk or treat too. I do not feel right about it. So I don't want nothing to do with it.
Amen! Way to go! Such wonderful ideas!
Christ would never participate in halloween.
Thank you for this message I despise death .I want life
As someone who opts not to celebrate Halloween, I think it would be wonderful if Christians who opted not to observe the holiday for solid biblical reasons and conviction would stop getting lambasted by their brothers and sisters in Christ for being legalistic, and attempting to be in the world but not of it.

I hope God opens your eyes to see His truth, satan is the reason why we have evil in the world, satan brings evil thoughts to the mind of people and people obey those thoughts, Jesus says, satan comes to kill, to steal, and to destroy, Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly, We should come to Jesus, repent of our sins And focus on obeying Gods Word, The Bible,Then we would have a better world, God our Creator has given Each person the ability to Choose,
Our world is made better One person at a time,Blessings ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Thanks for this truthful teachings that can be shared with many others who need to know. Amen & God Bless you & your family 🙏🏿

Agree with so much of this. My 10 year old poses the question- WHY so much candy for all of these pagan holidays? Because it reaches the children, God’s beloved.
Excellent thank you so much for your videos! God Bless you and the whole Answers in Genesis group ♡♡♡¥

This is some amazing facts and fills in so many blanks I’ve had
Refusing to participate in Halloween isn't impossible! I did it with my kids for years!. I took them out of school and we did some other fun activity. During "trick or treat", we stayed in the basement watching a movie/eating popcorn. My reasons 1) pagan meaning of Halloween (look them up yourself) and 2) not taking my kids out to ask for candy FROM STRANGERS!!! There are no "redeeming features" to Halloween (unlike Christmas and Easter!!)

May the Lord God Almighty bless you in your walk. Amen

Isnt the fact that we see unstable elements on the earth undeniable proof that the earth is not as old as most think?
Because if the earth was as old as most scientists think it is, we would see hardly any radioactive minerals, because they'd have decayed into stable elements.
