I knew my wife was pregnant long before she did. All 3 times, within a few days. I could see it in her eyes. A very different but distinct glimmer or sparkle . The first 2 times I told her, she said I was crazy, there was no way I could know. The 3rd time she ran to the store for a home pregnancy test. Our children are grown, she's gone to be with the Lord, but to me, she's still my wife.

Hard lessons learned can be teaching tools for future generations. I think the sexual revolution affected women in a very caustic way in physical and mental ways. When I was a young woman, I was pretty promiscuous (long story - looking for love). I can honestly say that every time I had sexual relations, I felt a little piece of my soul disappear. I was suicidal but by the grace of God I never got pregnant or a disease. The only thing that finally got me through it was the faith I had been raised in. If it was really OK for me to sleep around, why did I feel so horrible after it happened? It was because I was going against God's desire for my life. If I could go back in time and know then what I know now, I would remain pure. I believe inner scars are far worse than our outer scars.

I went to school in the 60's and 70's but wasn't a very good student. However one of the classes and subjects that highly interested me was science. I also grew up in an active Christian family from my great grandparents on both sides through my parents. I was taught in school that until you had actual proof of something and not an assumption because you couldn't find any defining proof, a hypothesis would always be just that and it must be stated it is a hypothesis and not led on as fact. This was a high school science teacher. He also said that all evidence must be put into the consideration for the outcome to be valid. So my question is why is it so many scientists especially when going back in history won't use the writings of the Bible in their mix. It they found a writing from 5000 years ago that said that the writer had been to another planet they would believe it as fact in a heart beat with no other thought but will not use the words in the bible for consideration.

This is actually what I was going to criticize. Yes, some people wrote the Bible, but many people also have written fiction. Harry Potter is a fun story, but we know it's not based on real life. We also have "documentaries" that aren't really true. I am Christian, and believe in the Biblical Word, but if I am to argue it, I don't assume secular people take the Bible as facts. I cross examine it with other non-religious texts. Like, yes Roman texts write about Jesus. He existed, and non-religious people acknowledge him. But, you'll never convince a non believer by quoting the Bible, to believe the Bible is always correct.

Part of the bad weather, in my opinion, is also because sin has also affected the earth itself. We tend to forget plants get sick, diseased, infected, etc. Which is exactly what happened to all things when sin was introduced. Answers in Genesis is the _epitome_ of pseudo-science. They don't look at data and follow the evidence where it leads, they don't rigorously test their hypotheses, they don't try to falsify data, they don't submit their ideas for review, they do the exact opposite: start with a presupposition that Genesis is true (they've even admitted this in a video short) and then twist, distort and exaggerate all the data to fit and ignore anything that doesn't. Wishful thinking, confirmation bias and deliberate misrepresentation is AiG's stock in trade - pseudo-science in a nutshell!
Genesis is such quick review of history though, covering thousands of years in such a short period of time. It doesn't start getting more detailed until Abraham and even more detail in the life of Joseph. While written as a book of salvation we try to use it for other perspectives and complained when it's not more detailed. Its pretty clear that some "old" civilisations were very advanced maybe even knowing technologies and techniques we don't know even today.
Always has been. And is okay to understanding it as such. It gives you a top down view. Something to believe. Not the details. The Bible doesn’t tell you the Chinese, the Maya, the Incas, etc. While I understand the premise that Answers in Genesis is trying to make that “answers for questions” are there, I find it funny how their expertise in different items comes from their foundational knowledge in other areas: geology, biology, astronomy, etc. That’s why you always hear them say “biblical view” - interpretative. Is okay as long as you understand what it is they are saying.
I wouldn't be quite so quick to accept it as "history". The parts that can't easily be dismissed as mythology have so little evidence to support them that we can't be sure any of it is reliable.
"But what makes the Bible a reliable document?" It has predicted things reliably so far. We have no reason to expect anything else in the future either.
People who ask that question don't realize how many of the prophesies have already come true. There's literally only a couple left, yet to be fulfilled. It's an exciting time to be alive!

Thing is, as an example just because it’s in the news doesn’t mean it’s truth. It’s been suggested that Ramses liked to pad his personal achievements. Some pharaohs went so far as to destroy the works of others and or adding their own names to other pharaohs works. While studying cities, temples and burials we need to keep this in mind. Just because it’s carved in stone doesn’t mean that it’s 100% the way it was. As a Christian I know that with all the hands that have rewritten parts of the Bible you have to pray and trust God that you will understand what is true and know when someone has changed (added or removed) things to suit their personal story/agenda.

We can look to native people in Canada before Europeans came and see how they harvested the woods and graslands. People lived in villages and was hunting, fishing, farmed(permaculture?) after the last iceage and that was potentially done all over the world. Here in Norway people lived doing amcombination of hunter/gatherer and small scale agriculture. My great grandparents had a small farm and was hunting and fishing, around 1900 as my grandmother tells about her upbringing. Nature was overflowing with produce of exellent quality wich she missed from the old times.

The scary thing about the Supreme Court ruling is that 3 of those judges believed the web designer should be FORCED to support sin that is against God and our belief in God. Yep, people were always smart. Look at ancient art and architecture, arguably more impressive than what is being made today. Solomons temple, the pyramids of Giza, Greco Roman sculptures… look at literature, the Old Testament, being thousands of years old is written with high level of knowledge and understanding. Most people think that because we are at the pinnacle of modern technology that we are at the pinnacle of human intelligence, but that is not the case. Have for sure thought about this. I think it's reasonable to assume that people may have been able to make their way to high ground, and therefore possibly avoid some of the catastrophism. If they then perished from drowning, and not rapid burial, then we would not find evidence of them. Also, given how tightly the majority hold to the evolution narrative, I would not be suppressed if there were coverups. The governments of the world have done much worse and more intricate coverups in the past. Just my thoughts.
I'm pretty sure humans were localized to the area around Mesopotamia before the flood, while animals were scattered across the land mass. People were unlikely to be congregating in places where lots of dangerous animals roamed.

I knew my wife was pregnant long before she did. All 3 times, within a few days. I could see it in her eyes. A very different but distinct glimmer or sparkle . The first 2 times I told her, she said I was crazy, there was no way I could know. The 3rd time she ran to the store for a home pregnancy test. Our children are grown, she's gone to be with the Lord, but to me, she's still my wife.

Hard lessons learned can be teaching tools for future generations. I think the sexual revolution affected women in a very caustic way in physical and mental ways. When I was a young woman, I was pretty promiscuous (long story - looking for love). I can honestly say that every time I had sexual relations, I felt a little piece of my soul disappear. I was suicidal but by the grace of God I never got pregnant or a disease. The only thing that finally got me through it was the faith I had been raised in. If it was really OK for me to sleep around, why did I feel so horrible after it happened? It was because I was going against God's desire for my life. If I could go back in time and know then what I know now, I would remain pure. I believe inner scars are far worse than our outer scars.

I went to school in the 60's and 70's but wasn't a very good student. However one of the classes and subjects that highly interested me was science. I also grew up in an active Christian family from my great grandparents on both sides through my parents. I was taught in school that until you had actual proof of something and not an assumption because you couldn't find any defining proof, a hypothesis would always be just that and it must be stated it is a hypothesis and not led on as fact. This was a high school science teacher. He also said that all evidence must be put into the consideration for the outcome to be valid. So my question is why is it so many scientists especially when going back in history won't use the writings of the Bible in their mix. It they found a writing from 5000 years ago that said that the writer had been to another planet they would believe it as fact in a heart beat with no other thought but will not use the words in the bible for consideration.

We tend to forget plants get sick, diseased, infected, etc. Which is exactly what happened to all things when sin was introduced. Answers in Genesis is the _epitome_ of pseudo-science. They don't look at data and follow the evidence where it leads, they don't rigorously test their hypotheses, they don't try to falsify data, they don't submit their ideas for review, they do the exact opposite: start with a presupposition that Genesis is true (they've even admitted this in a video short) and then twist, distort and exaggerate all the data to fit and ignore anything that doesn't. Wishful thinking, confirmation bias and deliberate misrepresentation is AiG's stock in trade - pseudo-science in a nutshell!

Genesis is such quick review of history though, covering thousands of years in such a short period of time. It doesn't start getting more detailed until Abraham and even more detail in the life of Joseph. While written as a book of salvation we try to use it for other perspectives and complained when it's not more detailed. Its pretty clear that some "old" civilisations were very advanced maybe even knowing technologies and techniques we don't know even today.
Always has been. And is okay to understanding it as such. It gives you a top down view. Something to believe. Not the details. The Bible doesn’t tell you the Chinese, the Maya, the Incas, etc.
While I understand the premise that Answers in Genesis is trying to make that “answers for questions” are there, I find it funny how their expertise in different items comes from their foundational knowledge in other areas: geology, biology, astronomy, etc.
That’s why you always hear them say “biblical view” - interpretative.

I wouldn't be quite so quick to accept it as "history". The parts that can't easily be dismissed as mythology have so little evidence to support them that we can't be sure any of it is reliable.

Well God Bless that paleontologist who admitted they have to get creative with incomplete datasets. I appreciate there candor and committment to scientific research. The more data that is released for general review whatever the model someone develops the better.
Thing is, as an example just because it’s in the news doesn’t mean it’s truth. It’s been suggested that Ramses liked to pad his personal achievements. Some pharaohs went so far as to destroy the works of others and or adding their own names to other pharaohs works. While studying cities, temples and burials we need to keep this in mind. Just because it’s carved in stone doesn’t mean that it’s 100% the way it was. As a Christian I know that with all the hands that have rewritten parts of the Bible you have to pray and trust God that you will understand what is true and know when someone has changed (added or removed) things to suit their personal story/agenda.
If God is all powerful, and He is, then we can trust that He preserved His word like He said he did in scripture.

We can look to native people in Canada before Europeans came and see how they harvested the woods and graslands. People lived in villages and was hunting, fishing, farmed(permaculture?) after the last iceage and that was potentially done all over the world. Here in Norway people lived doing amcombination of hunter/gatherer and small scale agriculture. My great grandparents had a small farm and was hunting and fishing, around 1900 as my grandmother tells about her upbringing. Nature was overflowing with produce of exellent quality wich she missed from the old times.

Yep, people were always smart. Look at ancient art and architecture, arguably more impressive than what is being made today. Have for sure thought about this. I think it's reasonable to assume that people may have been able to make their way to high ground, and therefore possibly avoid some of the catastrophism. If they then perished from drowning, and not rapid burial, then we would not find evidence of them. Also, given how tightly the majority hold to the evolution narrative, I would not be suppressed if there were coverups. The governments of the world have done much worse and more intricate coverups in the past. Just my thoughts.

If there was a Flood, then any dating system which relies on known initial conditions, and a uniform change (which includes all radiometric dating such as carbon dating) will be flawed, at least past the point of disruption (say, an enormous Flood 4,400 years ago).
