When rebuilding the driveshaft, I wanted to mention a tip I saw in another video where someone had experienced vibrations at certain speeds after a shop rebuilt their driveshafts. The issue stemmed from the alignment of the three-legged bearing holders. After disassembling the shaft and reassembling it with the bearing holders staggered, the problem was resolved. It’s crucial to ensure the three-legged bearing holders are not placed directly opposite each other, but staggered to create six legs when looking down the shaft assembly. In your video, it appeared they were aligned, but for proper balance, the larger and smaller sections of the bearing casings (which resemble the shape of a revolver barrel) should also be staggered and not placed opposite each other. Your videos have been really helpful, and you’re doing a great job-just wanted to share this tip to help others avoid similar issues!
Although there is sound hiccup to the jon’s nsx video to the dragon. It was a really great video. The nsx is just a fascinating car. You can see how much Jon really enjoying the process🤑, which adds to elevate the finished video.
"That's like, DISCONTINUED, DISCONTINUED, DISCONTINUED.... NOT AVAILABLE... and if you own any old Honda's, you know those words." I feel this one very deeply 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly Jonathan, im stoked im gonna get to see your nsx this October! As much as i was looking forward to the hatch, I've wanted to see this car for a while. 🤙
Great vid! Love the care to keep the car running mechanically. The old ABS/ALB is def something that NSX owners should look into replacing etc. unfortunately the 2000+ NA2 option is high $$$ these days if you can find a complete kit. Another option is going the AP1 S2000 ABS modulator route with Helix harness, sub 1k installed and greatly improves ABS functionality over the old system. Personally I’d rather have something rather than nothing. I’d does look like a clean minimalist install with the ABS delete though.
While some of the Acura/Honda models do have the drum brake inside rear disc designs, NA1, NA2 and NC1 NSXs parking brakes are operated by using the rear calipers on the discs.
The intro 🤣👌 Would you guys be able to replace the clutch on my stock 1994 Civic VX hatchback? This is my favorite JDM garage. 155k it’s probably original. Also zero rust so no issues with any of that.
Perfectly fine to cut them once or maybe twice tops. Brake rotors have a minimum thickness spec. As long as they’re above the minimum after surfacing, they’re fine. Not quite as efficient with the lower mass, but unless you drive them on a track you’ll never know.
Thanks for the awareness on the audio issue. We experienced some errors with our editing software.
Audio is funny. At 4:54 "That sounds perfect baby, I'd love if you bring it to the dealership." Nice video though working on such a classic.
Yes, thanks for noticing. We encountered an issue with our editing software but it's fixed.

Thanks so much!!
Even the mighty NSX isn't immune to the typical Honda problems.
Aging applies to all :-)

Nice 3/8" axle seal driver 😉. The dealership tech's way. 👍
Right on
Love it.
Thanks!!
Can you please highlight a parts list for this episode. Looking for that clutch/fw kit
I had warped rotors on a Mitsubishi and was told that engaging the parking brake right after driving in the rain caused it.
Nah. Parking brake is a shoe inside the hub. It doesn't even touch the disc surface. Regardless, warped rotors don't really exist.
@@ttt69420 Thank you... I learned something today. :)
@@mserica6487 And they can usually be turned, or the hub face just needs wire wheeing. This is a common mechanic scam.

Thank God for battery-powered tools. So many bolts. Lol😅
Yes haha, used to be air tools and now pretty much all electric tools.
Am I the only one interested in hearing the rest of the Las Olas Blvd Memorial Day story?😅😊
👍👍👍
Thank you!!
I need to delete abs fron my 92 GSR
We did the same on our 96 GS-R as well.
“Not made for Japanese specifications” 😆
Ha!
140k on a clutch?
Try 260k on my 2007 Accord V6/6spd’s clutch, and it’s finally showing signs of needing replacement.
That’s good to know! Incredible engineering but also carefully driven I bet.
@@MPowerSubie12: I enjoy some spirited driving, but I don’t drag race her.
Pretty incredible, even so.
260K on a clutch, that's on the top 5%. Good for you!!
Not sure what was going on with the editing. Sounded like there was another video playing underneath.

You are not suppose to cut brake rotors they are a one time use you replace them with the brake pads

Thanks for clarifying it
