Hella cool....love the idea of mixing two ideas to get one (ice dying and galaxy print). Interested to see if there’s other dying techniques that can match different styles of print. Great job!
Thanks for sharing! A correction - soda ash *is* sodium carbonate. Arm & Hammer washing soda contains both sodium carbonate (soda ash) and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda).
Hey, thanks! I’m not sure about that, if you have amazon they have arm & hammer washing soda there. If not just google soda ash and I’m sure you can find some online
Yes, I forgot to add this. Make sure you wash your shirt before adding stars and putting in liquid again. The shirt will let out purple dye and make your stars a light shade of purple.
I personally wouldn’t use tulip but if you’re just making it for fun and that all you got then go for it. But those dyes aren’t very good. And I think if you put liquid over it it would come out even more dull, you’re just adding more water ultimately. Might get a cool pastel effect though. Yes, you wash if afterwards.
Every graphic is different. If it’s screen printed it should be fine, although be careful putting dark dyes over light colored screenprint because it will stain it. Don’t tie dye anything that has a graphic by DTG(direct to garment), it’ll get covered.
If you don't have some type of online shop I'd say that's a missed opportunity. Wayyyy too good at this
your videos are my fav for reverse tie dye. i have been getting better thanks to you

Did you just sprinkle the dye powder directly on the ice? Or was it mixed already into a liquid & squirted on?

After adding the stars, do you wash the shirt again? Can you add it to peroxide after you dyed it? Thank you so much for this!

Do you wash the shirts after putting the stars on with bleach?
This is so dope🔥🔥
Could i use the tulip powder dye? Would it work after mixing it with water and squirting on top of the ice?
Also do you wash the shirt before and/or after in the washing machine?

Does anyone know what kinda print the Shirt needs to have, so the colors of the print don't fade or mix or whatever? :)
