Thanks so much for showing the Arm & Hammer Laundry Booster a lot of people don’t know that this is Soda Ash. Out of all the tie dye videos I have seen you are the first to show that this is soda ash.
@the1andonlymean1 she never said they were...she said the Arm and Hammer laundry booster which IS soda ash...not baking soda. However you can _make soda ash from baking soda_ To make soda ash, also known as sodium carbonate, you can heat baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) in an oven at 200°F for about an hour, or in a frying pan over high heat until no more gas bubbles form. The heat drives off water and carbon dioxide, leaving dry soda ash. The chemical reaction is 2 NaHCO3 → Na2CO3 + CO2 + H2O.
I love this video tutorial, it is so informative and breaks everything down nicely. I've bought all the supplies for me to dye my hoodie/sweatshirt but i also wanted to tie dye an old denim jacket i have. Do you think this process will work for denim as well? Thanks again.
hey! what dye do you use? i mean how much colorant, water and something else do you mix in that tube? should i mix it the way it's written in the instruction of the dye? love your videos, sending love🤍
Do you have links to where we can order the supplies? When I search the dye on Amazon it's $70+ is that normal? Or is there somewhere cheaper I can purchase?
I know you were asking the creator of the video but I just wanted to say I’ve dyed 50/50 cotton/polyester sweatpants before and they actually turned out way better than I expected, and pretty vibrant. I used the same dyes as the guy in the video
🔥🔥🔥Where do you buy your dye from? I see the powders on Amazon but they are like 124$!! I’ve been experimenting with reg tie dye you buy at Walmart, but I’m having so much fun, it’s time for an upgrade. BTW... You give excellent tips these are great tutorials.
Thanks! And for anyone else reading comments in FL.... I just bought rubber bands, gloves, hydrogen peroxide, bleach clinging gel and the soda ash all at Publix while grabbing my groceries 💪🏻👍🏻😂
Easier to fold. You don’t have to if you find it easier dry. But also whenever I bleach something that’s dry the bleach kind of floats above the folds. It doesn’t go into the shirt right away if that makes sense
In another tie dye video it says if you’re gonna use baking soda AS soda ash to bake it for an hr on 400 degrees so idk if that’s necessary but just thought I’d put it out there
@@igotdyeonit LMFAO HAHAHAH R YOU FUCKING SERIOUS ?????????????????????????? SO YOU ARE SAYING THERE ARE WASHING MACHINES THAT DONT HAVE A SPIN CYCLE THEN HOW DOES IT GET ALL THE WATER OUT OF THE LOAD THEN ??????????????????? FUCKING MORNS
Hi, I hope you can help me out. I think I got the same sweatpants with the white “NIKE/SWOOSH” Embroidery but mine are faded used fo be 100% black. Planning on dyeing them back to super black again. Will the Nike Embroidery be black too? Cos i want it to stay white as it is. I’ll be using RIT DYE. Thank you.
My reverse dyes haven't been coming out well with other methods, I think this is the most clear instructions I've seen yet!
The tighter scrunch SERIOUSLY makes a difference

Baking soda and soda ash is not the same thing.

I've been wanting to reverse tie-dye for ages and these instructions are very clear! Thanks a lot!
These look so good! Thank you for the details, a lot of other tutorials are not this thorough.
I'm obsessed with my new hobby.
The sweats on the right look like rainbow magma, super cool!!
Straight up sick! LOVE both pairs!!!💜💜💜💜
Ive been watching tutorials for days and this is by far the coolest-- best instructions- coolest designs
These are so raw😍 you did a great job!🤍
Really great video! Thanks so much for sharing your art! Can't wait to try this!
Can't wait to see where this channel goes.
We're trying reverse tie dye this weekend! And I'm glad I found this video!! Thank you!
I have a ton of traditional tie dye kits, will it work with those dyes as well?
Those dyes usually don’t work very well :(
So I have questions about this. I did a hoodie and it did not turn out like your at all! Could it be the brand of color I'm using?
Damnn came out cool, the second pair is my favorite though
Thanks ajax. Appreciate the comment 😎
watching you work majority of the time without gloves is making my skin dry 😂 nonetheless great work!
I love this video tutorial, it is so informative and breaks everything down nicely. I've bought all the supplies for me to dye my hoodie/sweatshirt but i also wanted to tie dye an old denim jacket i have. Do you think this process will work for denim as well? Thanks again.
Yep should work the same. Thank you!
The crinkle ones are sick!
Do you have a website where you sell items? Please leave it, if so. Such great work.
I will have a site soon, but at the moment only on Instagram @igotdyeonit
Hey I'm using white Jean's will I still need to used the bleach, Baking soda and porixcide? I'm trying to do the onesided one ?
Just wow!! I cant wait to try. I am truly motivated.
how are you keeping the white on the logos and ink on the t shirts so white??? every time i dye the ink absorbs the color
On the tie-dye kits do you have to use soda ash still
I’m not too sure honestly
Can you re-use the soda ash solution mix that you used on one item? How many times can you reuse it??only for that day?
You can re use the soda ash water but I’m not too sure how long you can. I think it starts smelling funny after a couple weeks
Great video. Where can I purchase the precision tie dyes from. Or can I just use tulip tie dye kit. I would appreciate your help. Thank you kindly 🙏
So once you rinse out, after the dye, do you just throw them in the washer, add dawn soap & cold wash??
Love the colors!
Yep! Thank you
this is awesome! will it work on jeans and other materials as well?
Yep!
You do such a wonderful job!
AMAZING JOB! Best tie dye I have seen! Where do you get your precision tip bottles from??
I got them from amazon
Your results are very beautiful, igotdyeonit 🌈 thanks for sharing your skills & knowledge 💝
Do you wait 24 hrs to rinse as well or just 24hrs to take off rubber bands?
24 hours to rinse out
Those are effing awesome - I'd buy both. Start an Etsy page already! :D
How’d u get the Nike logo to stay white after u put the red dye over it??
Dye doesn’t stick to polyester
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW THAT WAS SO AMAZING!!!!!!! YOU SHOULD MAKE MORE VIDEOS!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Absolutely amazing! I really want to try tie dye but I mess up almost everything I try 🤣
hey! what dye do you use? i mean how much colorant, water and something else do you mix in that tube? should i mix it the way it's written in the instruction of the dye?
love your videos, sending love🤍
I use dharma and yes follow their mixing instructions
Hi. True artist. What are the proportions of dye powder to water do you use?
I eye ball it but you can find mixing proportions online, different colors have different mixing proportions
What type of dye do you prefer? I use Rit Dye is that fine? And I LOVE your work SO AMAZING!!!
Hey, thanks! Honestly I don’t think Rit dye is very good, I’d suggest any procion dyes. You can get Jacquard on Amazon prime and those are alright
Hey! Thank you for this! I read your instructions, I have a question. What happens if you do the same task with a 60% cotton pair of sweatpants?
It might not work. I’ve had decent result with 50% cotton
It’s just not recommended
@@igotdyeonit Thank you.
@@igotdyeonit Okay! So I did it with 100% cotton. I don't think I bleached enough, and I added dye. Is it possible to rebleach again and add dye?
Can you make a tutorial with both legs with the fan folding please?
Do you have links to where we can order the supplies? When I search the dye on Amazon it's $70+ is that normal? Or is there somewhere cheaper I can purchase?
I buy my dyes from dharma trading co
Do you have a website where you sell these?
Only on IG at the moment @igotdyeonit
I am enjoying these videos. Can you make a galaxy with reverse tie dye method?
Love your videos...please add more videos...thx....this brightens my day!!!!!
Can you use the same peroxide bath?
Hey can I ask you what dyes are you using (brand or name) ? Good video as always ofc
Thanks. I list the dyes and brands at 0:39
Thank you so much for posting this!! This was super helpful 🤩
This was freakin' awesome!
does the nike sign not absorb dye?
Do you rinse the bleach out before placing it into the hydrogen peroxide? I can't wait to try this...FANTASTIC job!!! 🤩
I don’t rinse out, just neutralize while folded. Thanks!
Great job! 😃✨
Have you ever done a galaxy look and do you sell these that you make i would love to get a galaxy looking one?!
do i need yes or yes the hydrogen peroxide? what happens if i dont use it?
Those are awesome!
Such vibrant patterns! I love it. Thanks for the tutorial
Hermano i love your channel, me encanta que you speak Spanish too 🤣, todos los video me encantaron
Can you use any item of clothing as long as it's over 70% cotton?
Most of the time yes. All clothes react different though so sometimes you’ll find stuff that doesn’t react to bleach even at 100% cotton.
@@igotdyeonit ok thank you, that's good to know!

why do you have to wet the sweats before bleaching?
Easier to fold. You don’t have to if you find it easier dry.
But also whenever I bleach something that’s dry the bleach kind of floats above the folds. It doesn’t go into the shirt right away if that makes sense
To echo what you’re saying, the bleach bleeds into the fabric a lot easier when the fabric is wet.
Love it!
More vids pleaseeee?
🔜
Fire.
can i purchase a pair from you ?
How can i dye mine all Black without dye my logo?
It’s a gamble. Most embroidery is done with polyester so it doesn’t dye, sometimes it’s made with cotton and dyes.
I love this,, your channel is rad
Absolutely 💯 beautiful. thx for sharing 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
Awesome!
Great job thnx for sharing
what does the hydrogen peroxide do?
Neutralizes the bleach.
hermoso m encanta :) me puedes hacer el favor de poner los materiales en español :) no entiendo algunos , gracias
what sweatpants are those
I’m not sure the exact name of them.
Is the soda ash just Washing Soda?
More like washing soda is diluted soda ash.
@@igotdyeonit I did a little research and apparently if you bake baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) you can get soda ash (sodium carbonate).
I'm doing this immediately
That’s so dope
Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Excelente...!!!! 💕💕💕💕
Love it
Nice
Amazing
Tienen videos en español?
No perdon :/ haré algo en español pronto
@@igotdyeonit no te preocupes, gracias

Yes, you can turn baking soda in soda ash like that. I didn’t use baking soda though
Done dude, s thnkyou
Baking soda is not the same as soda ash. You have to heat the baking soda up at 200 degrees f to change the chemical make up for tie dye.
When did I say baking soda was soda ash?
Subtítulos por favor ! 🙌🏼
A man and his microwave cover
A que le llaman "Soda"??
