2004, 2005, and 2006 yes I absolutely agree. 2007 and 2008 saw a big decline in music quality but only slightly for Heavy Metal like Daath or Disturbed. In 2009 Metal was no longer good.
I was lucky enough to open up for these guys when they were on tour. They put on a great show and although they weren't the headliner, they were the best band hands down. I think it was with Cattle Decapitation and Psyopus

Leichenschan is correct. Almost all of Daath is with Chimaira. Eyal Levi, the founding member has focused on his work at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, FL (Rhythm Guitar). Kevin Talley, their drummer, does tracks for any band interested and has been a touring drummer for Battlecross & Suffocation as of late. Eyal has made some speculation on possibly doing another Daath album in the future. We can only hope.
I commented this Video a couple years back saying this was terribly and i couldnt understand that anyone could listen to this. now i think i have matured a little, i Fucking Enjoy this now :D could sleep to it lol XP
Liam Yates that's metal. Literally every album from 2013-15 is like that now because that's what sells. That's how Suicide Silence got to #11 on the billboard, whitechapel got to #10, and Attila got to #50....with generic basic albums that just plain weren't as good as the one before! At least it still sounds like Chimaira and they even TRIED to make one.
i know. with andols and rob gone though, all they had left was marks voice. rob came out with amazing riffs and solo's and andols complemented it all with his drumming. id have preffered them to quit with the infection rather than bring out that last album. but thats just me.
After all these years. I come back to Daath and just be amaze again and again. Sadly they are no more.
One can only hope, but all the members are still making great music.
The same to me
I had 7 years with out listen any song. You know the University and Job take a lot of Time 😪

one of the most exciting guitar solos I've ever heard, actually.
for me, by just this one play, Emil Werstler must deserve to be called a guitar hero.
Ah, 2020. Still have dreams about that solo. 2005 - 2009 were some REALLY glorious years in the different realms of metal.
