Eu acho que só a gente que é brasileiro consegue sentir de fato um arrepio na espinha diferente quando escuta o roots ou o chaos ad. O Seputura não é só uma banda de metal, ela é A banda de metal. Ninguém no mundo é capaz de fazer o que eles fizeram se apropriando tão orgulhosamente dos nossos ritmos (os berimbais, os tambores, o carnaval, o setanejo, os ritmos dos povos originários e tudo mais) e sincretizando tudo isso com o metal pesado. Coisa de outro mundo - surreal.
Se um rock mais "leve" tipo Charlie Brown Jr, Pitty já estão sendo esquecidos. A gente já percebe que Sepultura não agradaria os ouvidos sensíveis desse povo...

This album literally changed my life when I was 11 or 12 and bought it (on cassette!) from Kmart. I coaxed my mom in to buying it by telling her it was world music lol. I was the most badass kid in the 6th grade...wait no, that was when the other kids stopped liking me cause I wore all black and listened to stuff like Sepultura. OH WELL! 26 years later its still one of my top 10 albums. Love you guys \m/

Nunca houve uma genialidade tão grande e por mais que haja bandas tão revolucionárias e que trazem elementos geniais também, nada se compara .. quem diria que dois elementos tão distintos como uma banda de metal e uma tribo indígena poderiam fazer uma junção tão incrível? Os caras eram super nacionalistas. Em todos os lugares que iam deixavam claros que eram brasileiros. Incorporaram as diversas culturas brasileiras nas músicas, até capoeira os caras divulgavam. This is kind of a perfect metal song. Doesn't over do it, but still has some unique elements.

Os caras eram super nacionalistas. Em todos os lugares que iam deixavam claros que eram brasileiros. Incorporaram as diversas culturas brasileiras nas músicas, até capoeira os caras divulgavam. Os caras estavam super conhecidos lá fora e nossa mídia quase não divulgavam os caras dentro do Brasil. Lembro que era adolescente nessa época e nunca ouvi de sepultura na mídia. Hoje moro aqui na Austrália e no outro dia um australiano perguntou de onde era, disse que era do Brasil e ele: Sepultura é muito foda!
