I wonder if he did that on purpose or not. He plays it so straight, I can't tell if he's actually oblivious or if he's intentionally messing with them.
I don’t know why Niles is freaking out about the open bar thing. It’s not like he and Frazier aren’t constantly throwing back sherry and wine and shit. Hell, Frazier was created for a show about a bar.
I'm not sure a spinoff of a spinoff would have been well received, since Frasier was already a spinoff of Cheers. ... Holy crap, sorry for the 4 year late reply...
Remember that not all spin-offs are successful - like the Joey spin-off after Friends - so it wasn't worth the risk. These stories have to end eventually anyway.
They’re doing a Frasier revival series so I’m guessing they’ll include David either as a main cast member to fill the void left by Martin or he’ll be like Maris and be unseen
@@mrcritical6751 I hoep they dont. Frasier was a great show and I think its best left as a good memory and not some messy reboot which wont be a tenth as good. And the Moon family being around after Daphn'es marriage was a big mistake....
David Angell, who created “Wings” and “Frazier” was murdered in the first plane that hit the World Trade Center. To honor him. , the show named the baby David Crane.
Ted Morgan There was a interview shortly after 9/11 in which the show’s producers made that statement but it also honors Hyde Pierce as well. I thought the interview statement was a nice touch, too.
*snrrrk* That moment with the monkey is definitely one of the best in the series. XD As is Niles fainting while trying to help Daphne with her breathing.
If only Frasier could have lasted for at least one more season, we could have seen Niles & Daphne enjoying life as parents with their new son, David Crane. Wouldn't that have been great?
They could do a spin off now with the kid grown up a bit with niles and daphne and maybe another baby or 2. And considering the amount of remakes and reboots happening at the moment it's not impossible.
@TheSteelStallion I disagree with this. Jane Leeves said in an interview that once Niles and Daphne got together they both changed. Their love for one another changed them. Niles wasn't as stuck up and neurotic. He was less wimpy as well. Daphne was tougher and stood up for herself more. A lot of people didn't like her new personality but I embraced it. It was nice to see her as a stronger person and not afraid to stand up for herself. She was still sweet and funny but not a pushover anymore.
I think the thing that people don't like about Daphne's personality was that she always pushed Niles around it seemed. In quite a few episodes, especially season 11, Daphne seems to treat Niles pretty bad compared to what Niles is doing for her. But the fact that he doesn't care shows how much he cares for her. However, in s9e24, Daphne did realize the extent of Niles' love, and I can't really complain about season 10... that's just my opinion.
@@mrcritical6751 She got to be somewhat different fairly soon after their marriage. It looked a bit like marriage to a rich man who adored her went to her head. I can just picture Niles trying to make David like him by introducing him to opera and high society only for him to have him Moon genes enabled by Martin giving him a beer at a young age
Dude you missed the boat by a mile watching this show. Martin would never want a simon. He'd want grandchildren with integrity, down to earth, who loved things like sports and regular joe stuff action movies, etc.
It's so weird to have watched this show when it was on the air and see Niles pining for Daphne for years, and knowing that now, in that fictional universe, Niles and Daphne have been married for almost 20 years and have a teenage son. I seriously can't wait for the reboot of this show that Kelsey Grammer says is coming out!
I’m hoping David fills the void left by Martin. Seeing how Kelsey has confirmed it’s gonna be set in a different city I could see David’s plot being that he got kicked out of a high up boarding school or something and he decides to just move in with his Uncle Frasier to escape having to face up the truth to Niles and Daphne
Is Frasier really that surprised that Niles and Daphne's son would be beautiful? I mean really? With those two as parents you know he's going to be a good looking kid. Hard to believe he would be 9 years old this year. Wow.
@saphique Also, in season 11 she was pregnant, that can change a person's attitude quite a bit. I always liked Daphne. Yes, she changed but I liked the change. She became a stronger person. She wasn't expected to stay the same throughout the series. Once she became a member of the family, she fit in more and didn't have to hide behind her eccentricities and quirkiness like she did in the beginning. There were times even before season 8 that we saw this side of her, just not often.
Paul Lannister : that would have been so nice to watch as Martin loved sports! I like to picture the grandson and Martin enjoying a lot of sports programs and going to games together. Plus, if Niles and Frazier had more children, one could even be a sports prodigy. Also if twins were born that behaved like Niles and Frazier had to each other. What great possibilities to enjoy.
Cheers was on the air eleven years then Frasier started immediately after that for another eleven years, so Kelsey Grammar played that character "Frasier" for atleast twenty years.
