The sound is pretty good, really brings out the Sulzer throat without being overpowered by the bass. Just got back from GETS at Milton Keynes, it was so good we're going again tomorrow! ATB, Andy.
Nice locomotive Eugene. I saw in your other longer review the imperfections which I wouldn't have liked either. And being fussy does not make life easier ! But we have the right to be fussy ........ I also have this 47711 with Factory Sound but no revolving fans. That is something that can also break down. TMC has given it High Gloss Finish instead and I like that a lot better. Very fortunately NO imperfections on my 47711 and it looks like a dream in that special finish. I still don't know how it sounds (only from your review) because I don't have a layout. Cheers, Jan, Australia 😃 I have given you a sub 😊
Thanks Jan and welcome to the channel. Now a high gloss finish is something that would appeal to me. IMHO 95%+ of RTR locos have the dreaded matt finish which is far from being prototypical. I didn't realise TMC provided that option.
I can't tell but are those snowploughs attached to the bogie?...I hope not considering it's a new tool. Also in regards to sound, Bachmann could have done better by adding an EM2 speaker to the sound project as it doesn't sound that much better than the previous model and still has that hollow output.
On the bogie I'm afraid. I never had an original Bachmann sound model to compare it with (I added Zimo based sound on my Fire Fly) but I agree that the sound is lacking somewhat versus the real life loco and an EM2 would certainly have helped.
Can't wait to see the review for this one!

GETS looks like a great show. Just sorry I couldn't line it up with my next trip to London. Enjoy tomorrow!
Great sound and good looker roll on the review matey.Enjoyable video as per.😎
Thanks Peter. This is a top performing loco. Had great fun with the running session.
Great video as usual, the sound is great and nice locomotive. 👍😃
Thanks for that. I'll cover it in the review but this loco is an exceptional runner out of the box.

Will you be at the raheny show?
It went off my radar unfortunately when making plans for that weekend. It's great it's going ahead this year and I'll need to mark it for next year.
Very tasty 😎
