    Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate good folks like yourself in sharing how to do things!!! Really helped me fix my machine. I also removed the spark arrestor - we live at a higher elevation and this was the trick for us

    Thank you for the helpful video. I think im going to Toss that bracket to hold the rope. This is my 2nd 3500 generator and ive only used the rope maybetwiceon both machines.,And they both have broken off ,roughly the same spot as where that bracket sits.

      Thank you for the positive feedback Nick. Glad this helped you. It is a lengthy video but well worth watching the steps. The bracket is for the pull rope to feed through. Like a guide. Maybe it is causing friction on the the pull rope? Thank you for watching. Please like, share, and subscribe. Take care! TYMM :

    I'm leaving another comment. You do not have to remove the center nut on the pulley to re-string pulley. Clearly, he is doing it the hard way , I usually pull string out and wind pulley up , line uo holes and thread string in, and insert screw driver in opening on pulley to keep pulley wound up as I started any open frame generator is so easy to work on any enclosed generator is designed for a shop to work on this is crazy and this guy took too many components off to restring pulley

    • @texasyardmanandmore3822
      @texasyardmanandmore3822  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @jamesray3930 - This is the way I did it. Not much more work. I was able to measure the pull string out to the length it originally was by doing it this way. You do not need to pay for a shop to fix this, when you can do it yourself. All steps shown are needed. Best wishes to all DIY viewers. Hope this saves you all money and time. James, if you do not have anything positive to contribute then best not to say anything. Its not a good reflection on your character. I am here to help people.

    Can you pull start it without the battery connected?

    • @texasyardmanandmore3822
      @texasyardmanandmore3822  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. The battery is for the electric start.

    Thanks but I think the robe rarely break because people use electric start mainly

    • @texasyardmanandmore3822
      @texasyardmanandmore3822  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      True. The primary is electric start but if battery gets weak or if the starter, CDI board, solenoid fails the pull rope will come in handy.

      These are actually pretty good generators. Very compact inside though. So makes it a little more difficult to get at things.

      @@mrgreenbudz37I'm not trying to put this video down, he did a good job with the way he went about it. But I think I will make a video. Looks like all you have to do is remove the entire front frame without removing all the stuff he did. Chinese put stuff together with preassembled modules. You just have to reverse what they did. I guarantee they didn't put it together like he took it apart. I've got to replace mine, I'll probably make a video because there's none on TH-cam except this one. I might get humbled, but I'm pretty good at this.

      Hi James. I have had my Predator 3500 inverter generator since 2020. It has been a rock solid generator for me. Only issues I have had are the starter went out and pull rope string broke. 1000+ hours on it and powers my generator nicely. A/C no problem. I think it depends on each persons experience. I can see how you may be frustrated but everything eventually needs maintenance at some point. Thanks for watching. TYMM :)

      @texasyardmanandmore3822 This was my second one , im done with predator generators going back to the champion generator, an open frame with a remote start, easy to work on, and change oil all I know you get what you pay for I keep the generator on my semi it all kinds of weather it can't handle the abuse of the road push start stop working and string on pull start broke this this unit useless junk

    • @mrgreenbudz37
      @mrgreenbudz37 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well maybe it is the person using the tool. I have had my Predator for 7 yrs and outside of changing the oil all the time and a fresh spark plug once a year the pull cord just breaking is the first. Most people don't know how or are too lazy to take care of their tools.
