I really love your videos you inspire me to get out there fish more. I love the way you cook too, by seasoning the pan and then adding in your catch. I can tell you genuinely love what you do and I also love backpacking but I never thought to take a compact rod with me...but since I started watching your videos it has inspired me to try new things. I recently camped at Kern river and intend to explore more of the Eastern Sierras.
From the first video I saw it was the Intro with the music and the whole feel of it that set's you apart from the rest!

Other than that, i’m from so cal. I live in La Verne. I recognize a lot of the waters that you fish. All the way up to mammoth to down here in the LA area. In fact, I was bummed you didn’t say where you were in this video 😂. I think it’s up Azusa canyon. But I can’t tell because I was literally just up there and there was not this much water.

By the way that is bear poo, it’s most pits from holly leaf cherries which grow all over those mountains and while they have very little meat on them they are a delicious trail snack.

Sir me and my son have wanted to start learning how to fly fish from your channel. I mean it would be so so awesome to be able to give him a new fly rod setup I mean I would love to have one myself but I just love keeping my kids into the awesome outdoors and all it has to offer. I mean we live on a lake in Alabama but a while back we had somebody stoled all of are fishing gear and other stuff as well. But my three kids was hurt the worst of there fishing stuff getting stolen. But no matter if we win or not sir we always feel like a winner from what you are learning us. Great video! Alright - so it seems as though you and I started delving into the world of fly fishing at about the same time, so I really appreciate watching you go through the learning process. And while it seems that a lot of your and my fishing takes place in about the same part of the world (Eastern Sierras), nearly all of my fly fishing has been from a float tube.
