That taunt animation should be inside the cockpit with the helmet on and the cockpit should look differently based on the mech model. Personally i'm a fan of the cockpits in Hathaway's Flash.
If you go to the official website, it shows the all black panzer with its pilot wolfram . I think why they went with the color swap is just to showcase them in more than one color .
I bet the corporate sell outs at the top of the company wanted to make it monitized like the gundam evolution game where you cant paint it at all and i bet they fought back saying thats apart of mecha culture to paint your own mech and i bet they wanted to lock mechs behind pay walls and maybe some kind of gotcha system for paint schemes
Ngl they should remove the kill taunt or have like a setting function where you can auto skip kill taunt Also does the jamming haze deffuser also affect melee units?
The jamming haze prevents all weapon locks, it BLOCKS energy weapons, heals (I don't think it should). Also, for the sake of balance, the visibility thing should be inverted. Hmm...I adore Stego so far. Some balancing and it'd be PERFECT. 👍🏾
while im happy we are getting more mecha games, i have noticed a trend that most of them look to be hero shooters. im sorry, i like games liek armored core and mechwarrior. i like the idea of customization for mechs, and not just cosmetics. i love titanfall 1, but when tianfall 2 came out i noticed they turned the titan combat into more hero shooter nonsense. while i enjoyed titanfall 2, i eventually lost interest because of the lack of customization. after you play all the "heroes" there is not much else to look forward to or experience. and hero shooters are only as interesting as long as they can provide constant content. but since the vast majority of hero shooters get abandoned, then all there is is a roster of un balanced heroes that everyone has played many many times. this game is going the route of gundam evolution while using the movement of armored core. but its just yet another hero shooter. there is no true customization. nothing to make a mech truly yours. and is often the issue with hero shooters, the balance is worse than any other FPS title where you get to customize your loadout . constant balancing helped destroy overwatch. no amount of new mechs or radical nerfs or buffs will solve the issue of dead end hero shooters. the solution isn't too complicated. you want the mech to have hero like abilities? that's fine. keep the hero abilities (although i suggest toning them down). keep those abilities tied to chasis of mechs so you can more easily dedicate yourself to a mech (instead of needing to learn a bunch of mechs you might hate). but let their weapons and movement options be swappable. maybe you want to have those defensive shields but also fly? sure. or how about turning your support mech into a melee fighter, or maybe you constantly have issues with those guys who bring the OP builds, so instead of picking a mech you might not be a fan of, you customize your favorite mech to have weapons to counter the meta builds. would it be perfect? no, but at least it prolongs the interest in a game like this....well at least my interest as i can only speak for myself.
the pvp is not thought out and melee isnt real and this is 6v6, and balancing games with set heros is way easier than all the combinations of ac6 even though fromsoft did alr

I'd imagine it would disable the lock on for melee too would be kinda weak if it didn't.

i love the execution animation it would lead to some funny moments where people are getting killed because of attempting to do the kill taunt
i love the taunt for that reason lol
For Xbox it will probably require a controller with paddles to do efficient manual aim
Imo giving Stego a shield in turret form in a TERRIBLE idea
I like the smoke screen, but the shield seems like it might be a bit much..
Does anyone when the Xbox beta or release is going to be announced
we have 4th gen style quick boosting? I will now buy your game
The manual aim will prob be on downstick
Why almost all the comments I see is... Negative? The game is quite nice imo, u get both mecha and pvp, i dun see the problem here... 😅
Give me a classic Shield, Rifle and Beam Saber type mech like RX78 or Aerial
these new strikers need nerfs
