    I chuckle fondly when I see your dash cam speedo locked at 61 mph for practically all of your trip... gotta love those LMTVs... they'll go anywhere, and they'll take forever to get there...

      Even with the taller gears. I keep the cruse control locked in at 61. It seems that is where the truck runs the smoothest. 59 and the pitch of the gear whine is irritating and anything over 65 just doesn’t feel right. But yeah you don’t want to be in a hurry. :)

    Great video, good to see you guys enjoying your truck. I installed a CAT 12V grid heater in my intake track out of a wrecker with a 3116 in it, really helps warm the intake up for those pesky cold starts, hit me up if you need more info. Keep the videos coming.

    • @BrokeOverLand
      @BrokeOverLand  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a grid heater already. I think I need to let it “pre-heat” the intake air a bit longer before cranking the colder it is.

    • @Adventuredriven
      @Adventuredriven 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrokeOverLand right on, I have the same water heater you have, love it, I let the engine heat the water up as we drive and heat the air of the camper, then when stopped I turn on diesel heater and it heats engine, camper air and hot water, I am working on a way to isolate the engine so it does not heat all night, just for 30 minutes or so in the AM, then start and go. Hydronic heat is so cool.

      Definitely, this was a working trip so we didn’t have free time for extracurricular activities.

    A French press seems like it would work well. Just boil some water and pour it in. The clean up can be a bit annoying though, but you could also try an Aeropress. Those use a paper filter and after you brew a cup you can just pop the coffee puck into a trashcan.

    • @BrokeOverLand
      @BrokeOverLand  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll look into the aeropress.

      Aeropress [aftermarket] stainless mesh filters rule! Top coffee anywhere with your Jetboil. Enjoy.

    • @Mishadbull
      @Mishadbull 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have a Fellow cap and stainless steel mesh filter on our aeropress. Super easy cleanup and no maintenance costs. A small kettle / pot thing on the induction stove top boils water quickly and easily, fresh ground beans, and our press makes coffee a no brainer

    One of my favorite vids so far!
    Some friends of mine have a cool pull out deck with a Torklift ladder for their RV. It isn't very deep and stores in a box that the lid folds down into a quick access step. They made a video about it too. Let me know if I can send you a link to it.

      I thought it was pretty slick and therefore good for the Goblin. Is that what we are calling it?
      Door needs to match the rest of the habitat...other wise it's like going to a spa to bleach things you can't usually see.

    Those windows and doors in the GXV are as much as the cost of the box! Just think, another $175,000 more, and you could have had one of those too. It's tacti-cool, but yours would out-perform it.
