They remained friends since then...When Tom turned 80 Stevie sent him a special Birthday Wish on The Voice UK where Tom is a coach...Tom cried..
Tom and Stevie are Best Famous Friends. And for Tom's 80th Birthday Stevie came on the Voice to wish his friend love and happiness. If memory serves he sang to Tom and made his Bro cry.

I remember this show watched all the time
This show was so important to Tom Jones. He insisted that he had the guests that he wanted, who he loved and respected. He wanted to sing with the best and gave two fingers to the expectations and prejudices of the time. Stevie Wonder and Tom Jones dueting. Does it get any better? My mum was born on the same day as Stevie.

Friends to this day. Tom Jones recentish 80th birthday. Stevie appeared via video link from the USA on a show called The Voice that Tom is a Judge on and wished Tom Happy Birthday. Tom was tearing up. Icons. Genuine legends the both of them. No doubt!
