Great video bro. 👍 But a warning note: if you do manage to connect to the ecu (considering its the JDM OEM ecu), do not drive with this app open and connected to the ecu. Car will go into limp mode after about 5 minutes and you won't have any control after that. I tried it on my 99 GS300 aristo swap with the OEM ecu and that's how I found out the hard way. Just use this connection to read and pull codes and clear codes if needed be.
Hi, i followed the instruction but when i plug in my obd2 scanner, the hand held scanner display reading error. Is it that it works only on the torque apps? Thanks in advance.
Enjoyed the video Would you be able to help me? I have a 3SGE BEAMs engine and I can’t find the SIL PIN I only can find the E Plug pin #7 and that’s the CEL Lamp
at 3:18 when your explainning about TC wire it shows in position 11 not 13 but on your write up it shows 13 I have it wired in positin 13 and it doesnt work
The diagram is correct. But it really doesn’t matter if you have it on pin 11 or 13. TC is just to trigger ecu to flash trouble codes on check engine light when you jump CG and TC. Check engine light still need to be wired correctly to the ecu via W pin on the ecu if it is not already. W pin powers the check engine light.
From what I’m finding online, the Soarer with the 1j VVTI didn’t have option for SIL, but the 2j VVTI Soarer did. Yours might be odb1 but I cannot confirm and the process of reading that data is limited and different. ToyoODB1 is would be the app.
Thanks for this! just did this mod and it worked great. This is gold!

Awesome video guys. Someone has already butchered my D plug, do I have to run the TC pin in order for it to work or can I just run SIL?
TC pin is just for use on a check engine light to flash codes, not needed for odb2 reader to work.
@@jumpgarage Ideal, thanks man.
