Awesome video! That was the good ole days of rallying! I'm sure I was on one of the stages spectating. Back in the day when you could actually spectate! Now you get to see a distant view of the cars looking through banner tape while standing in a designated viewing area. Different times.
@linkdude240 lol aye, I love that one guy's random declaration of fondness of Renault in 1985 has been preserved for all time. There isn't even a Renault car in the rally.....
THe WRC is nothing compared to these days of night driving, car busting stages, two tracks, non tarmac stages, snow, ice. This was a different type of cat set up and different driver. WHen SCCA gave up Pro Rally everything went to hell
I see John Buffum *Audi) and Rod Millen *RX 7), probably Guy Light in this one also--did the Euro drivers come over for that year (they did for 82)? Right there at Michigan Tech in some shots
Great to see. I was at the 1985 Susquehannock trail pro rally and it’s nice to see these cars again.

I remember those guys flogging the Olds Cutlass but don't know their names.

I was there
Anyone else jizz at the sounds of Millen's Mazda and Buffum's Audi?
+fueldragster No. My buttcheeks may quiver a bit. But no.
That was a fantastic rivalry between them.

That is probably Guy Light in the Jeep. Those were the days!
