I used to be distraught because my generation did not have a proper successor to Woody Guthrie. I am confident to say that we have located him. He is Tom Morello.
@moofasa1211 Yes I know the bands name is Rage Against the Machine, I've been a fan since the first album and have them all... along with the Night Watchman and Street Sweeper Social club, and even Audioslave (rage's band members). I said RISE AGAINST, because the lead singer of RISE AGAINST, showed up also with TOM :) Another great band, and a great surprise.

Very cool to see the commitment spanning the generations in this way. Wayne is featured in this performance of 'Kick Out The Jams' done for the benefit of the workers in WI: th-cam.com/video/J0P4ZAyROfI/w-d-xo.html and he has played with RATM (amongst others) as a guest guitarist and continues to score music for TV and films.
I leaned in church that Arlo Guthrie barred his father's song to be printed in the Unitarian hymnal. Outrageous. Arlo is a big libertarian Ron Paul fan. Arlo used to be cool, but Republican propaganda killed all his brain cells.
