I wished they would add a "colonized" ending. Where instead of contacting ships you can contact the government and try and get the planet approved for colonization. And instead of building small landing pads you need to build a large landing site for passenger rockets.
When you dismantled the orbital radio I knew you were going to forget, it's ok, that's the kind of thing I keep forgetting as well. If we were stuck on an alien world together we'd probably die about the same time.
You can build elevated platforms. As in you can build "platforms" that are, iirc, flooring that gets 3 stories above the fence line for the turrets to sit on. I think you use the "x" or "z" key to increase the height.
@Pravus , to build a mounted turret, just build a raised floor of 1 tile and then a stairway to the top, you can then place your machine gun, missile and laser turrets on top of that floor tile .. . so your request is already in the game good sir ;) also i've found i've had to draft the 2 getting married and drag them to the wedding arch so they both are there as they get distracted with tasks otherwise
Can you add people after sending someone away? Is your actual goal to send all the characters off? You send one out and then find another? Is it possible to find a crash pod and it was the guy you just sent off? Yo, this game could be deep if that was the case.
Pravus have you every played Anno 1800? I think you'd enjoy it and would do amazing at it. I mean it fits right into your genre. I think a series would be cool!

for the carbon walls, I assume that they are using a core material, likely something similar to aluminum honeycomb, and this is why you need alloys for it
you can tame some insects to make your nanotubes. based on happiness, its kinda hard to do since you need to craft the pacifiers (i would suggest more than one person equip one if you decided to try) you can also build a foundation and raise it up place stairs going up it and have a turret there
Build a single square foundation at max height. Build a single square foundation attached to the first one at half height (so the survivors can climb up without having to build a staircase). Build turret on top of foundation. PEW PEW PEW!!!!
@pravus wanted to say I 100% agree with the end game way that you brought up. That would be a great to either see a scenario added that all setters can be evacuated all at once. Also, I wrote a small idea below that sounds plausible when having to leave the main base to gather materials that are at great distances away. Have you thought about building like a small outpost between your main base and the animal nest that your attacking. This way if there is a cold snap or a bad heat wave. The settlers you sent out to gather materials from the animal nests have a place to stop at. This way they could rest, warm up, and eat if needed before heading back t9 the base. Maybe also having a small storage at this outpost to store the materials gather from the animal nests. This way also you have a place somewhat close to the animal nest and somewhat close to main base to drop materials. Once the settlers are rested, warmed, cooled off, fed, and what not. They could then grab the materials and start bringing them to base Just an idea I was thinking about when I was watching your series and also playing the game myself. I know it’s not something that can be done during a short series that’s showcasing the game but thought hey why not ask.. Great series and really really loved it. Would 100% love to see something else with this game from you in the future also. Thanks for all you do with all your hard work in making great content. Big fan

Yeah.. getting the characters married in this game is stupid difficult when you have 5 or more survivors because EVERYONE has to be there otherwise it gets postponed and the annoying part is that you have literally no time for people to arrive
carbon nanotube has yet to be mass produce.. There made from graphene which is a new material. There just now adding graphene into structure. They have not learn how to make either one in mass production as well as they are expensive.
You could brew smokeleaf tea and have jack drink it to relieve a bit of pain also to get someone married in the game you have to control them yourself and stand them both near the wedding arch
I love this game. Hopefully there will be a scenario other than crash landing, colonization would be fantastic. But I dont think the rescue needs to be changed for this one. It changes things up and makes you rethink a strategy.I never ever play with defenses or turrets, I prefer to shotgun down the hoards. So when I was down to one person, every time there was a warning, I sent her off in the balloon for a long expedition.. the enemies would just leave without attacking :)
Admittedly, it would make sense that if you send out an S.O.S. to a passing ship that they'd send word along to a rescue operation, but that would mean that getting the communication array just becomes a win condition in itself, because you just wait for a ship, hail, and then wait for full rescue, and if that were the case this series would have been considerably shorter and I think maybe even a touch anti-climactic without copying Rimworld's "once you trigger endgame you get a bunch of raids" setup. I mean, while it certainly borrows a lot from Rimworld, that doesn't mean it's beholden to do everything the same way. To be honest, it sounds like you need a break from this game. The theatrical whining was, frankly, starting to get to be a bit much. I know you overreact a bit on purpose for said theatrical reasons, but it's more entertaining as punctuation rather than half of the video or more.
My single biggest complaint about this game is the game tells you the concrete is made in the workbench but it’s not. It’s actually made in the electric and stone furnace… you’d think that it would have been correct by now but it hasn’t happened yet.

Apparently only the one fired on is supposed to actually turn towards the new threat.

you can make flame turrets face each other to deal more damage in the same footprint. also consider raising turrets so that they can shoot over walls.

I don't think that's possible as the ships "only had space for 1 person" so even if you built multiple landing sites... It's not gonna do anything.

I was impressed with the game until now. The end game feels kinda boring and repetitive. They need more for the ending. Game is beautiful though.
The wedding is probably failing due to a lack of space, try moving the wedding arch somewhere else
