Hey QuiltGeek. We didn't see much traffic at all once we got out of Oklahoma city and even then, it wasn't busy at all. Admittedly, we tried as much as possible to stay on the old road, where there really is only local traffic and tourists.
Really, Really enjoying the videos. So we were in New Zealand and suddenly the sirens went off and we thought it was WW3 or something. But it was like it used to be in the UK when they had sirens to call the retained fire men in. GLAD THE WEATHER IMPROVED.
No way! I didn’t know that was even a thing, but it makes sense! Apparently, here in Florida where we are they have only just decommissioned the hurricane sirens. Having said that, I heard them very recently (which is why we googled it). Still no idea why they set them off, but I thought it was a purge of something (watch the movie) 🤣
There are new sirens that they are rolling out in some cities that are actual speakers that can carry voice messages. Haven't heard one of those in person yet, but grew up with the old school sirens.

I know how you feel with the allergies. I get them quiet a bit here in Nv. When I lived in Redford Michigan they had the tornado siren go off every Saturday too! It’s nice they did that. We were in two tornadoes at two different years. It’s nit fun to go through that. That dig was cute and the name Harley how funny!

THE INEXPLICABLY ROUND BARN IN Arcadia, Oklahoma was built in 1898 by a local farmer named William H. Odor, and it has fascinated locals and tourists alike ever since. To this day no one is sure how Odor came up with his unusual design, or his rationale as to why this barn must be round.
Today, the Arcadia Round Barn is a well-tended landmark and considered one of the most photographed icons along Historic Route 66. The Arcadia Historical and Preservation Society continues to facilitate efforts to ensure this circular centenarian building will be available for passersby to experience for years to come.

@@BrazenBrits we are changing a bedroom into a music room for John lol. My iPad is on my lap if I’m on the couch and you 2 and Todd and Sheila have great timing! Your face was too funny. “It’s coming from that box” Made me laugh! I also sew a lot. Making linen sheet set. I make clothes for grandkids and such. Did somethings for Todd’s brother Jeff’s kids wedding also! Stay safe and enjoy!

In the Kansas City area, the sirens go off on Wednesday. I recommend Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn.
