Forgive my ignorance, but what's the significance of Elk City Ok, aside from being adjacent to historic route 66? Was this one of the many towns that suffered once rt 66 was superceded by newer highways, and lost its significance?
Hey, I don’t know if it does have some historical significance, though most towns/cities tend to in one way or another. It is like you said, another one of those Route 66 towns. I just happened to have been in the area that day and took some videos and photos of it; I believe most places, if not all, always have something interesting to offer.
@@jorgehurtado2879 Unfortunately, LOTS of towns have lost their "significance" in the past 33 years, since our wonderful politicians began selling out American jobs to our economic rivals and even our primary military enemies! The Clintons, Bushes, Obama and Biden have cashed in by stripping away the regulations and protections that helped keep our industrial sector alive and well. They've allowed China to buy America lock, stock and barrel! Now all the sudden they are upset because China is flexing their muscles and undermining our economy.
