There is inside and outside posture in the buteyko method. The easies one is the ouside posture. Often said, straight open, relaxed. But inside posture, where the diafragm is paralell to the pelvic flor, and is going down and UP correctly is not that easy. I think that we try to belly breathing to much so the lower ribcage is not expanding, that creates hiperventilation and losen the core strength because of losing presser Any body interested in understandung the correct fisiology of diafragmatic breathing research for DINAMIC NEUROMUSCULAR STABILIZATION I would suggest that instead of counting exercise, where we inhale 5 seconds, use a metronom in 60pmp, and inhales counting the inhalation only , breathing until confortably the body tels to exhale and just relax longer exhalations Playing with 4, 3, 2 seconds inhale and longer exhalation ... For me, 5 seconds of inhalation is very hard to not hiperventilate, I understand that this exercise is for movement. I would sugest that the book in the belly will not move significantly when normal breathing is achived. Thats was my confusion when instarted my jounry, because i played an instrument un the pasta during 9 years. And i had belly hiperventilation syndrom instead of clavicular hiperventilation, or both. Sand clock syndrom
