    What a great vid of a job well done, thank you For sharing this, brings me back again to those good old days Kurt, first digger I learnt to drive was one of the early JCBs then went on to an MF 50, that was 25 years ago🤔

    Hi lord of the jcb. I like your digger I spent lots of time as 10 year old sitting in one with my farther he had a brand new one the same year as yours I still remember the smell of the paint and fumes. Before that he had one based on fordson major Mk????. He is sadly no longer with us but like you loved jcbs. Keep up the good work!!!!

    I always popped the front loader off to do an engine swap, 4 pins and a few pipes, well worth it for work space. A great machine to work, newer models got too light for heavy work.

      That’s the great thing about the Build 5’s you can get round the bloody things to work on them ! The previous tractor based skid units were a pain and so yes, dropping the loader would make a big difference.

    Nice to see the jcb running again my dexta is in a similar situation in that it’s just had it’s engine rebuilt and I’m now waiting for the ground to dry up enough to do a days sub soiling with it to bed everything in nicely so it’s ready for the ploughing match later in the year

    Kurt your broken lug on the manifold is a prime target to clean up and build up with either bronze brazing or if it will weld cast rods and then machine and dress it back to how it should be ! thats the kinda work i like !

    Thanks for the update, thats the one we been waiting patiently for on the old girl, she runs real sweet now. I see some primer 5 gallon of JCB yellow, a gallon of post office red, and some ford tractor grey in your future now. You kinda buggered the I don't want to paint it look with that shiny motor L.O.L. You now know that when you do the cab you'll want to do the rest, Thats going to be the problem with mine the cab needs a couple bottom bits doing, and unless i paint it a mat finish white the rest of the machine will need painting to make it look right . I need to get on ebay and find the motor/ transmission mount bushings as mine look worse than those did, and the whole lot bounces around a bit. Looking forward to some more work on this one. Take care.

    Was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice I have a zetor 6911 the issue is when I put it in gear it barley moves unless I rev the guts out of it and when it is moving doesn’t take much for
    It to stop it could almost hold it back with your hands, it doesn’t grind at all when putting it in or out of gear and same for the P.T.O that works as it should, I think it may be the clutch release bearing but unsure as I’ve never encountered this problem before, what’s the best way of going about and finding the issue. Thanks all

    • @LordMuck
      @LordMuck  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Split it Mike unless you can get a bar into an access plate to make sure the clutch is moving freely

      @wiliamheadwoods 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lord Muck I shall open the inspection plates later today when I was under it last time I noticed on one of the inspection plates the previous owner has had it off and then sealed it back up with what appears to be a universal squirty bottle gasket also there is a sponge inside the housing of the push rod from the clutch pedal I’m pretty sure the sponge needs to be soaked in oil, when I saw it a couple of days ago it was bone dry so not sure if that has anything to do with it

    Great video Kurt👍looking forward to seeing more videos of the 3C🙂 I remember in my younger days in the early 90's there was a 1975/76 Hymac 370C next door to me and they used the Leyland 272 skid unit although I'm still puzzled on the R plated one why it said Leyland 384 on the serial plate ? but it had the 4/98NT engine on it, from what I remember if anyone's used to driving Leyland tractors gearshift pattern's or 3C's, I think? ( can't remember now ) they'll find that the Hymac's gear pattern is in reverse because of the high platform and the gear lever was mounted platform and pivots on the floor with some kind of joint working opposite of each other to normal with those units 😊 I don't see hardly any Hymac's 370C's anymore I suppose it's mainly because of the popularity of JCB 3C's, but I thought I saw once a 370C on a Ford until?, if you do find one could you do a comparison video of your JCB vs Hymac? ( Leyland engineed ) Could you Kurt please ? 🙂

    • @LordMuck
      @LordMuck  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve driven 2 Hymacs over the years and both were Ford Based.
      Yes I’d love to do a comparison vid.

    • @calumanderson5617
      @calumanderson5617 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great !👍it would defiantly make a interesting comparison, from what I remember of the Hymac it was soooooo heavy and the engine was sooooo under powdered back then 🙂 but they did the job back then and daresay to an extent still can, make sure you get the Leyland engine'd one to make it a fare test🙂, Thanks Kurt 👍

    • @LordMuck
      @LordMuck  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest I think if we are lucky enough to find one, we’ll just have to take it whatever engine it has and to be honest, that’s the whole point - if they thought Ford gave them the edge then that’s the comparison of the day.

      I had one in a gen set back in the 80's that I built to run a workshop ran with just regular oil changes until I moved out of the workshop in 2002. Was still running then and was only just beginning to use a bit of oil having been run at least eight hours a day six days a week. Whatever people said about other Leyland products they made good diesels.
