- Hyundai has just crammed over 500kW of power (670hp+) and almost 1000Nm of torque through the rear wheels of its rolling lab concept called the Hyundai N Vision 74 and Paul Maric has driven it! What a fantastic design. Its amazing to think how far Hyundai has come since the old Excel days and the stigma they had. The Koreans have surpassed Japanese brands like Honda and Nissan.

Hyundai's design chief Lee said himself that he is trying hard to bring N Vision 74 into production line so that's a great news for us!!

This car is exceptional.
I have an Nline sedan and love it. For a warm sedan, it's very playful and fun to drive, but never feels too scary or unsettled. Perfect for a spirited drive in the twisties, but also perfect for getting the groceries. Hyundai are kicking GOALS!

Imagine yourself sitting in the driver's seat and embarrassed by the overwhelming gaze.
Delorean Motor company should be ashamed for missing this design language.
Really hope that design language and tech finds its way to a production car. Really mean look to it. Loving what Hyundai's been up to these past few years.

They could totally release a simplified version, either electric only or ICE ongine of some sort. It reminds me of the Mitsubishi Starion actually.

Normally you see a small battery pack used to supplement/buffer power demands on a hydrogen fuel cell system.
This setup is almost the opposite where priority is on the charge/pack and hydrogen chips in to lessen the strain on the battery demand.
You mentioned 600km on the 62.5kwhr pack, but how much do the hydrogen tanks add to that range?

I need to see some version of this in racing and on the road. And I want it to look just as badass on the road. This is my favorite car design since the Italdesign Cala, back in 1995. Absolutely incredible machine.

What I really love about Hyundai and Kia is that they show off a prototype that blows people's minds and a couple of years later they produce the very same amazing-looking cars!!! Unlike all other manufacturers that show off a prototype that just remains a one-off show car.
First of all, it is said that about 100 to 300 units will be sold in limited edition in 2025, but the price is high.
Hyundai is changing.
First of all, the leader of the Hyundai group was changed to Jung Eui-sun.
In 2006, he invited Peter Schreyer to join the KIA.
It was insane for Peter Schreyer to join the unknown KIA.
In the past, Hyundai only made cars that were cheap and sold well.
Today, Hyundai is about to try something new in the era of electric vehicles.
He also took over Boston Dynamics.

Hyundai has really fall in love with the old Lancia style. First the Ionic, which looks like the old Integrale. And now this, which looks like has taken a hint from the 037.
The Hyundai Pony was released in 1976 by Giugiaro before Lancia delta. The design of this N vision 74 was designed by Giugiaro as a pony coupe. At the time, Hyundai did not have the technology to produce a coupe, so this design was followed by the Droian. Before the Lancia Delta, there was the Hyundai Pony.
Was gonna say Pony's back looks like Alfa GTV, and just found Giugiaro did GTV as well. LOL.

I noticed this straight away too!! Ok Hyundai say it was heavily influenced by the 76 Pony. But this car actually looks far more like a Lancia 037!!! (Which I remember was co-designed with no less Pininfarina's help).

One of the best looking cars in recent history. It has kind of that old school nissan Z, delorean, pantera look to it. I can't believe a hyundai looks like this
When I was a little kid in the 80's, all my toy cars looked just like this thing. From Inspector Gadget's Gadgetmobile to the Autobots in Transformers. I couldn't wait to grow up, get my license and drive a car that looked like them / this. Instead I came of age and we got the Hyundai Excel 🤣. Stoked someone's got the balls to finally go all in with the cyberpunk, future-retro aesthetic. Please Hyundai, put this into production and give us the tiny, hot-hatch version too!
relax bro, all these sort of cars will be the norm in about 10 years... I guarantee you in 10 years all these cars will be everywhere. Also they will probably levitate on magnetic strips on the road or something like that

This is how modern Delorean should look like. Design is amazing, spot on. I hope they will develop hydrogen tech to save as from useless, power grid charged EV garbage.

Reminds me of a TR-7 or Delorian in styling but I hope they can perfect the fuel cells before we are all saddled with L-ion EVs.
Finally a modern/future design that doesn’t look like something out of the Jetsons
Admittedly I am not looking forward to this EV change. Tesla vehicles look like blobs of jelly made by kids. I am very intrigued and amazed that Hyundai is thinking “out of the box” and making interesting, fun and unique vehicle designs. Owning and driving a car is more than just manipulating a boring appliance to perform a service. Thank you Hyundai. 👏
Tesla does not represent the entire BEV industry. They just have a purposely weird design that even Franz von Holzhausen admits to, especial Model 3 & Model Y is a departure from his previous work. Then there is the absurd Cybertruck which is the total opposite a freaking sharp edged low poly CGI. This is also just about being highly recognisable away from the rest of the BEV industry. Other BEV makers have amazing design, my favorite soo far is Audi eTron A6 Avant a freaking station wagon.

Love the look of it, though missing some engine noise, maybe some fake engine sounds to make it more exciting if they ever take this past the prototype stage.
They’re working on this for the RN22e so it should be easy enough to integrate.

This car is not inspired by the DMC. I was inspired by Hyundai Pony, which was produced before that, and Hyundai Pony and DMC are the same designer. The designer said he used modern Pony as a reference when developing DMC.

Hyundai i think is leading the race for traditional car manufacturers as far as delivering a full EV/Hydrogen line with performance and sleek retro-future design. I think they will give Tesla a run for their money.

But what’s not clear to me is why you combine these systems and not just one or the other?
Thermal efficiency and range :-) you can rely on the hydrogen fuel stack to reduce heat load on the battery system. Hydrogen won’t offer the big current a big battery can for performance, but when you combine them both you get the best of both worlds. It just weighs a lot more with the hydrogen components.
