I consider myself an advanced beginner sewist. I wanted a dolman top and decided to follow along with your Westchester Dolman Top Sew Along Videos as you are always informative and entertaining.
I learned better sewing techniques by watching your video series such as the method to determine the length of a knit neck band and a great stitch for a knit hem. I hope that you will continue Sew Alongs for women’s clothing patterns. I had fun following along with your videos, I learned new methods, and I ended up with a beautiful dolman top.

Would love some clothing sewing DIYS/hacks...making something new out of something not new...I have a simple short sleeve poly pullover summer dress, casual,...would love to make more of a beach/swimsuit halter cover up for the beach out of it, and get rid of the sleeves.
Your next club needs to be sewing clothes, I would pay for that. : )

The pattern is cute and the fabric is even cuter. It's semi-fitted, however, and I didn't hear you talk about the back waist measurement. I'm 5" tall and have a short torso. Does the pattern accommodate necessary pattern alterations for the vertically challenged?

Vanessa, is there a single visual picture available that shows how all the pieces of the pattern are connected? I'm trying to follow the video but am stuck. Are pieces 7 & 8 seperate from 1-6?
Is it possible to size this up further if those measurements don’t work for my body?

Question: I printed the pattern. I chose 100%. It came out with no border on top and no border on the left. Is this going to work like this? Should I trim anything off the right or bottom? Thanks for helping.
Doea the PDF have an option to send it to a pattern printing company? And does the PDF have a layers option?
The free pdf only includes the option to print in 20 8.5” x 11” sheets no A0 copy shop size is available for free. We sell the hard copy print outs. As explained in this video layers are included.

I have a French curve but don’t have the extra cash for the other measuring tool. Will I still be able to make the top?
Yes, I think so. I think you can just use a regular tape measure. The rotating measuring tool is, perhaps, convenient but that doesn't mean you can't measure the top's neckline with a regular tape measure. That's what I will use :)
If you are using your regular tape measure it is easier to stand it on edge and follow it along the curve. You do need to do it carefully.
Meaghan Larsen , oh dear , you should of bought your French at Joanns with 50 % coupon. That's way Im Going to do and probably buy her measuring tool from her or maybe just use the tape.

I plan to measure the pattern in my size to find the actual size. I'm sure Vanessa will go into pattern ease since we will be working with a stretch knit.
No finished measurements. front and back are the same so you can measure the front at whatever point you want and double it and subtract 2" for seam allowances (1/2"
x2 on front and 1/2" x 2 on back) to get the finished measurement. Hope that helps. !

There are dozens. Any thin paper that you can see through enough to trace will work fine. The bigger the better too so you don't have to tape sheets together.

It takes a few days to package orders and ship them all out. We sold out of hard copy patterns and restocked so we are shipping out the next batch this week. You will receive an emailed shipping notification once your order is packaged to be shipped.

You need to download the pattern first. Then open it in Adobe PDF Reader to make sure it opens to scale and print from there.
