That’s pretty dope. It’s a good size, it’s pretty insane how much I’ve been able to learn about this stuff from the community online. A bunch of great teachers on here. Been working on getting up to a build and haven’t done it yet. This would be a cool start! Great vid!
I meant to say physically larger, or really wider, in this case. The main issue I had with these motors was the heat they generated - I thought a wider stator would be better as it generates less energy and doesn’t get as hot at the cost of some top end. Let me know if you think that makes sense, though
Oddly enough, those are the motors that TuneRC designed it to run. I disregarded their suggestion right off the bat and put 1504's on lol. Very interesting to see how well it seems to huck itself around on freaking 1104's though!!
Looks like a nice way to get some action out of these heavy set ups. For fast movers like this it would seem like stabilization is not a priority, at least not for me. Thanks for giving one away!
It just so happens that I shipped an o3 air unit to the EU because of the recent sales. It was cheaper to ship it than to order one locally. I could really use that frame ngl. Great flying as always and a great video!
Nice build and video! I’m building a dji o3 2.5” toothpick with a iflight defender 25 frame (all plastics are destroyed 😢, so I cut the frame to make my new build). Just waiting the o3 to arrieve and see how it goes
Nice Rip! The Savagebee with an ultra naked o3 is pretty fun. I like to run the acrobee canopy to put the props in view. White that being said, the bee canopies ave very fragile. The one you’re showing looks much more durable.
That frame handles the weight really well! I'm impressed. Got my hands on some 1002 22kv motors, so I'm building up what I hope to be a durable 2inch 1s with 2015 bi-blades. Sorry Moe, I dont have the funds for dji or walksnail, but love micros! (PS fpv gods don't stop producing analog parts)
@@MoeFPV you converted me to 1s - although I dont have a selection of 3inch toothpick frames, just the crux3 (its the only one I can get that doesnt charge a load in shipping from the usa). I can get some 2inch frames though, and this build (I did most of it yesterday) comes in at 30 grams (without battery). I hope that it has some decent tracking and isnt too twitchy being only 2 inch (90mm motor post to motor post). I do need to find a new/design a camera canopy thats better suited though and I would like something that has a spot to mount the vtx - I never know where to stick that thing.
Hey congrats ! You've won this frame : ) Ive also posted you on my community tab with a screenshot so you know its me. Please feel free to reach out via email - its on my youtube home page - and send me your shipping info! Thanks for watching
Weird seeing a DJI 03 toothpick. It looks badass though. I think 4min on a 4s 450 is good for what the quad is. And the way you rip it, looks very capable. Thanks for the video! Cheers
honestly nostab isn't a big problem. If you want a toothpick w/ props in view I think footage is going to look way more natural w/out stabilization. Your flying skills show that you can obviously still get good footage! Dope video, will be picking one up
Daaaaaang Moe!! I am SO glad you are flying this on the 1104 motors that TuneRC suggested be used on this frame. This is currently my favorite 3.5" o3 ripper as well. I did some customization to my camera mounting setup, so that I can squeeze 3.6" props on. So, what I have been really eager to find out is whether the 1104 motors had any downfalls on the 3.5" prop?? I saw that motor suggestion when I went to order a couple of those frames, and thought that a 3.5 would be pushing it on those little motors.. Going by the video, it looks like it doesn't struggle at all.. How did it feel? I'm running Xing 1504's and it's a little rocket ship. Still fairly light though. Super sick video!! and huge balls for being so comfortable over water lol.
What’s up, Mike! The only thing that concerned me about the motors was the heat. Not sure if I just didn’t tune it correctly, but I feel as though I couldn’t push it too far before the motors would get uncomfortably hot. I think with an expert tune and maybe slightly less aggressive flying the 1104s can definitely do their job on this, but I thought maybe a WIDER stator motor might dissipate some of the heat that was causing a problem. Never really going to be a rocket on the smaller motors, but that’s not what the toothpicks are about at least to me
Will you ever do a video(or a series) about a 2inch toothpick setup, what to use etc? For 3.5inch props you need at least a 1304 size. And I have tried every 3.5inch prop, those hq 3.5x2x3 are magic
I have a 2” baby turtle video I’ve done some time ago on analog but not really a traditional toothpick. Do you have a favorite or recommended 2” toothpick?
@MoeFPV I don't have a 2inch toothpick but a beta85 hd with walksnail(check out my latest video) which flies damn well and has pretty much the same setup as your baby turtle. What I wanna know is, is that setup really the best/optimal one and would it fly better as an open prop platform? I feel like the difference will not big enough to lose the motor/prop safety.
Nice video, as for stabilizing the video try using backbox gyro data with Gyroflow as that should be rather clean. I think the main issue of stabilizing the video will be the props inview, as that might be confusing stabilizing process, hmm that might be a prob also for a Gyroflow with blackbox data -- O.K. this is really not the thing for the 03 unit, maybe make up a naked DJI Vista unit, or a 1S Walksnail VTX and have fun.
That is a nice build Moe 👍🏽 Is the current O3 frame PETG? A light one layer 4k recording build would be nice in future… O3 or moonlight 😉. Great vid, review and flying 💪
I think it is PETG but I am not an experienced printer. I think maybe TPU would have been a good choice as well - more durable and more absorption of crashes. Thanks for stopping by McLogo!
Not sure about a first build as the canopy and 03 are a bit exposed. A nice 3” analog toothpick 1-2s would be better IMO. or a tiny whoop! When you’re more comfortable flying then go for more “fragile” equipment
Not really related, just curious, what. 3" toothpick frame is better the tunerc v1, v2, or babytooth? And what thickness? I generally break alot of stuff, so i was thinking 3mm. The fpvcycle appears to be easier and quicker to get, so i got the 3mm babytooth, but am wondering if i shouldn't get some from tunerc???
Couldn’t find this on their site, but what is the mounting pattern for the tpu mount for the o3 ver.? Doesn’t look much bigger than the 25x25 for the AIO.
Tbh I don’t know. If we knocked some weight off the motors would be fine. I just don’t know how much we would have to knock off to get there. I think if you built on 3” walksnail you would be fine
I think they could just add tpu inserts for the cam, like the aos 35 and that would work. Not a fan of the props in view, they could change the x layout.
i think i would build it with 1404 3600 4s with high pitch props on analog bc i just have analog :( i think this thing will be faster then fast.. propably i would go 4000ish kv for even more speed :D and a nano gps on it to see how fast i hitted the tree :D
1104s on 3.5" is a bit concerning, to me. I burned 1204s on 3" 4s with a naked vista. Yes I used pitchy props... Still I feel you're just at the limit at this weight.
That’s pretty dope. It’s a good size, it’s pretty insane how much I’ve been able to learn about this stuff from the community online. A bunch of great teachers on here. Been working on getting up to a build and haven’t done it yet. This would be a cool start! Great vid!
Agree 100%! Solid people just having some fun and hanging out with friends...
I am glad to have found your channel. You have me thinking a lot about some quads that I would not have considered before.
Glad to hear it :)
I’m most impressed by flying this thing over water while in the boat. That’s gotta be a wild awful feeling 😂
Nice review dude!!
Man that was trickier than I thought it was gonna be 😂 we were trying to shake my friends off the tube so the boat was ROCKIN
@@MoeFPV yeah fuck that lol
Loved this Moe. Amazing flight 🚀✨
Looks like a great toothpick 😊
Cool little quad! Nice work Moe 👏
Damn this looks fun! I would love to build one of these
Finally upgraded from vistas to the 03. Would be awesome to have a 03 toothpick build! Thanks for the great videos Moe!
Thank you Moe for all of the hard work and efforts you put into this video❤
Keep these videos coming!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Was looking into something like this, that can carry an 03 air unit, really like the 3.5" size toothpick. thank for thanks for sharing. 👍
would be a great frame for a new walksnail build. Great review Moe you rock
Just wanted to mention that 1203 are not bigger than 1104, they have a smaller stator volume by a large margin. 1104 is 380mm3, 1203 is 339mm3.
I meant to say physically larger, or really wider, in this case. The main issue I had with these motors was the heat they generated - I thought a wider stator would be better as it generates less energy and doesn’t get as hot at the cost of some top end. Let me know if you think that makes sense, though
@@MoeFPV thats what i figured. although with that little volume maybe it wouldnt be powerful enough for a 3.5 inch prop
Neat. It's kinda like a crux35 o3. I'd definitely go with some 1404's for it.
Oddly enough, those are the motors that TuneRC designed it to run. I disregarded their suggestion right off the bat and put 1504's on lol. Very interesting to see how well it seems to huck itself around on freaking 1104's though!!
I'm liking how tunerc been really pushing the toothpick frames. Especially since not everyone likes the way they feel. I'm a fan. Great review Moe.
Thank you Porto :)
Sweet! I've never tried a toothpick but it looks fun. My youngest son and I recently got into the "Sub 250" stuff. He's 14 and a great pilot.
Thank you for the video. The frame look great.
Was looking for something like this! (Mobula8 O3 style mounting but for 3.5”+ toothpicks). Thanks for sharing.
Crazy how well it flies on those tiny motors, especially considering it's carrying a full O3 unit
Nice. My Mob8 is floaty. I guess this will feel the same. Cool build by the way.
That's a pretty sexy build. Those 3d prints in dark blue like that are clean!
Looks like a nice way to get some action out of these heavy set ups. For fast movers like this it would seem like stabilization is not a priority, at least not for me. Thanks for giving one away!

Damn boi, that thing moves!!
Ever since I got the Babytooth and TP3 I've been wanting to get the same experience but with an O3. This looks like it's it! Can't wait to try it!

Hey MoeFPV, nice video!!
Thanks for doing a giveaway, im 2 months into FPV and loving it.
I think 2024 is a toothpick year ^^ i loved my 1s 3“ as daily drivers. So quiet! I think a powerful motor would be a 1404 for this big prop.
I think it might be better on those motors if you used one of the lightened O3 air units
