One they missed was Gore Drinker at the beginning of season 11. It was stupid strong to the point where the champs that could use it were the only ones worth playing until it got nerfed.
As somebody that has been playing on and off since 2009, I really appreciate the walk down memory lane. I think the most memorable and laughable build to me was always "bankplank.". GP with passive gold income items lol.
I remember building sated devourer on old Aatrox. Devourer, BOTRK, spirit visage and old guinsoo meant Aatrox was a healing machine that could heal faster than you could drain his health. Also having his increased healing at lower levels helped also.
THE OG DFG was imo top 3, you didn't bring that one up for some reason, the DFG portraited here is a nerfed version of that one. I think it was 30% current HP for the active. Think Veigar ult on an item.
because it wasn't game-breaking. Yeah it was strong on champs like rengar, twitch, trynd, etc. it wasn't something that shifted the entire meta of the game. A lot of games nobody would build it. The rest of these items completely changed the meta and determined picks/bans, team comp, pro play, which team would win the game and when, etc.
About phantom dancer - that's why original sword of devine existed. After activation your AA couldn't be dodged for 5 seconds. Good old Twisted Fate AD. Sword of divine + stack phantom dancers. R without range limit. Gold card, R, pop sword. You stun and hit them. They can't hit you back cuz of the dancers. Fun times.
u mentioned sunfire cap but missed old stackable tiamat. You could had 6 tiamats with means a tiamat passive were stack up to 250 dmg and could crit. With shaco Q it was unbeat able. another missed thing was a malady. atteck speed item that burn enemy mana. if you were using it on tanks a tank was very fast not able to use abilities.
Yeah, solokilling enemy ADC as Lulu/Karma with ardent feel so good back then, got 300k mastery for Karma back then and didn't touch her since ardent nerfted o7
I missed the old spear of shoujin. For ppl who don't know I can just say there is a utube video jax and with trinity and shoujin vs yi full build and jax win
The reason why Runeglaive Spellblade was OP on Ezreal was actually because it caused the empowered attack to be converted to 100% magic damage, which applied on hit to Ezreals Q, converting his physical damage Q to 100% magic damage, which broke AP Ezreal and made him OP, unlike Lichbane, where only the on hit is magic damage - video is actually wrong on this one
Its not like this is the first time this has happened lol. Its basically part of the course that you can expect something to be wrong in the video. At this point very little script checking is done before video production is posted sadly.
Wrong sated devourer was bad. No one except kindred was playing it at high elo and some people was prefering warrior enchantment Black cleaver stacking never been played. Except I think in old season bc passive was not unique
I really enjoyed this video, thanks skillcapped! I think it's important to realize that the game is soo much more balanced now, than back then. The video really made me appreciate League how we know it today :)

Part 2
Missed the gold stone, where everyone would build them just to farm gold over time
Being introduced in 4.20 and removed in 6.9, truly a blaze it nice item
Nice.

God, old Guinsoo was a disaster of an item. I remember old Xin with that fucking item diving 1v4 our nexus turrets and getting away with half hp
The old Deathsdance was super broken too, the nowadays version its not even close.
banner of command also grants you all the gold of your minion's kills
THE OG DFG was imo top 3, you didn't bring that one up for some reason, the DFG portraited here is a nerfed version of that one. I think it was 30% current HP for the active. Think Veigar ult on an item.
Sunfire Cape stacking Evelyn Microwave build back in season 1 was peak gameplay to me, nothing even comes close to that for me now.
It's like Singed, but better.
remember when they at some preseason allowed to stack passive item effects?
6 Tiamats
Curious why no mention of Sword of the Divine? +45 AS, active improved to +90AS + 3 hits of 100% crit chance for around 2200g. It was nuts.
could be mentioned in a part 2

I loved the Feral Flare, farming junglers were so chill to play yet so stupid since there was no risk in ganks failing
We could use the banner of command description for hullbreaker. It's pretty broken atm
7:44 I can't tell if chat is genuinely wholesome or very sarcastic hahaha
1st iteration of blade of the ruined king should have been on this

So we are not talking about bork that outclasses every ad mythic?!?
I'm not sure what season but WIT'S END once had a passive that Drained Mana on hit. So Warwick could ult you and literally drain all your mana
Burning the enemy's mana would be a really interesting mechanic to bring back, though I don't know if it would be possible to balance.
this can't be a coincedence that they removed 2 op items in patch 4.20 and patch 6.9
old phantom dancer was my one of my favourite items
Dodge was multiplicative much like cdr is right now, you were never gonna get to 100% even at tabis + 5 PD, you got something like 92% with runes
No Zz'rot Portal? Granted, it's not the most OP item, but it's still a heckofalot annoying to play against
3:51 why the German text on the bottom
Kinda sad that they didn't talk about "brutalizer" and old red potions 🙃
13 potion Morde goated
yeah honestly this video probably could have been like twice as long if they really wanted
Zhonyas ring?
More factorial videos about league are always nice.
I missed the old spear of shoujin. For ppl who don't know I can just say there is a utube video jax and with trinity and shoujin vs yi full build and jax win
lets remember how bad balance was before more people got into streaming to show off all their broken builds
just wanna say some of these items were in last nexus blitz
OLD Black cleaver stacking was way more broken imo, everyone and their mother were literally building 5-6 black cleavers
What about old Tiamat that applied crits to anything hit by splash dmg? GP would one shot anyone by Qing a nearby minion
5 tiamat fiora ulti build >>>

ty dfg
Now we now that jax spent 14 seasons being broken.
broken items gives some spice to the game
Wrong sated devourer was bad. No one except kindred was playing it at high elo and some people was prefering warrior enchantment
Black cleaver stacking never been played. Except I think in old season bc passive was not unique
old ardent was insane lmao
Hullbreaker ?
no Zz'Rot Portal?
Uh... old warmogs before it was out of combat only where?
And people complaining of items nowadays when there has been broken items since the game existence 😂
bro the speaker sounds like ezreal
spellshield exists so dodge should exist too
Classic 4.20 Weedwick
Jax always broken idk
not broken but FEATURE
ripped straight off a reddit thread...
