@Sloth81194 my first thought was malphite mostly because of the ability haste. Though it shouldn't be necessary since his ultimate is already a 30 second cooldown with stacked Ultimate Hunter. Played against a volibear who built the AD version that gives ability haste on ultimate. It was super oppressive. Whenever he ulted I lost the fight and it was up way too often
You guys messed up, Dead man plate REDUCES the strenght of slows it does not augment it. Also staff of flowing water says it grants the buff to the user, not to the ally you healed. World atlas is 400 gold
400 gold makes much more sense for sure! Also seen many other sites whicht say 40 gold but that would buff the support early games on a huge amount which wouldnt be healthy.

The pros of having item changes (especially now that Mythics are gone) is that it opens up more avenues for different item combinations, sans the ones which were removed. The cons are trying to learn and relearn all the updated items, its changes, and what the new items could do.

Illaoi's W animation actually increases with Attack Speed, so I am interested to see what the Hexplate might offer. It might just be overkill because you don't really need too much to see the benefits, but that move speed might be worth the attempt.
13:47 it's not included if experimental hexplate's passive has an internal cooldown, but if the cd is based on your ult cd, it can be a great item for kog'maw with low mobility who can constantly activate the passive from his spammable ult. also, it could be viable for vayne and sivir too, with added survivability from the 300 health.

Cryptbloom seems ridiculous on Veigar he is allowed to build lower damage item and still have no trouble getting kills, and with such a high AP ratio, he could put out some crazy heals.
People keep forgetting but there is Item cooldown ruins. The build up spark and Enending despair will be the reason the ruin gets removed, abuse it before we lose it.
I am happy to hear that they added spell theife and minion execute because oppressive mage supps would push melee off minions while proving their item and denying mine Snow bally, on the flip side if the enemy team is super defensive an you are pushed back and off you can't get your item and it becomes snow balley
The new way to play mages is interesting ! I've been saying for years that mages don't feel like "mages" at all in League, cuz every single archetype has the same amount of burst without the mana, cdr and squishy issues.. Compared to S3/S4 mages midlane feel really underwhelming and "not part of the carries anymore". However, these AP values rise and new items seem to be able to bring them back to being Mages with a big M. The loss of the HP stat on most of the items is kinda worrying tho', but that's fair balance. I still find the loss of so many ability haste and mana on lots of items weird.. If you look at all AP items in PBE now, compared to other items, there are a TONS of AP items having only two lines of stats + 1 line of passive/active effect, where AD and tank items have majority of three lines of stats and 1 or 2 effects... Ok AP ratios will go crazy next season, but the cost of HP AND ability haste (or mana) seems a bit too much. It will be the death of Bruiser/Assa AP it seems, a big buff to Ap Mages damage, and a big need for these mages to positionate and get peel like ADCs are. Interesting, closer to what a mage should be in general. Mythics were not that great on mages, they're probably the archetype that benefited the less from it, fr the most interesting thing in almost all ap mythic items were the 600 mana and ~20 ability haste combined x) real power up came with rabadon/shadow flame 90% of the time and it was boring building always the same.
Biggest issue with the game was the uncapped ability haste. I really wish we would just go back to the 40% CDR era because champs had better balancing due to the hard limit because full CDR just wasn't always optimal. It still isnt for mages in the current landscape either due to durability update but we will see what happens going forward. There's some potential with ROA rushes into lost chapter items though that is a massive delay in power and might only work in games where you are stomping and even then seems questionable. I think I saw something that said banshees is now a 120 AP item though so mages may be going with void+RABA+hourglass+Banshees and an LC item for their builds for highest damage output with a bit of resistance and stasis to get around threats.
With this perspective I don’t think you ever played the game in early seasons of league. Especially not seasons 3/4. Mages were literally the most broken class with mythic items. They were given stacking magic pen with every item in conjunction with Liandry’s (percent health burn), Demonic Embrace, and Shadowflame. Ive never read a comment more out of touch. Mages were supposed to be a glass cannon class countered by MAGIC RESIST and having low mobility, requiring protection from a front-liner. You have items like staff of flowing water, double zhonyias/stasis, like please do not say mages are underwhelming in the present compared to S3/S4. You are genuinely spreading misinformation. Magic Resist as a stat literally does nothing. You have an item on this rework list that gives you 30% magic pen 😂 and that isn’t Void Staff 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 A current era of league where a SUPPORT Lux/Xerath can one shot tanks with two items using basically only their ult and you are saying mages are “underwhelming” prior to this update. Please go watch some gameplay from S3 and delete your comment. Liandry’s + Demonic, press tab over the course of a 30-35min game and see that players were dealing 20-30k bonus damage solely from items. ADC mains, we need to level. What did one of us do? Did we not buy enough skins? Did a Rioter's wife cheat with an ADC main? What did we do to make it so every time tanks and bruisers and assassins get their clear show of favoritism, the community applauds the "new innovative things Riot is doing" but the second anything ADC adjacent is given some power, or the above classes are nerfed, everyone calls Riot out on "Their clear ADC favoritism because Phreak is an ADC main". Yeah, I'm feeling that favoritism with every other class at least breaking even on the amount of item options they have, while ADC's are the only role getting a net negative in items and build paths, and even their "adjusted" item is just a nerf. Full lethality isn't viable on most ADC's, standard AS/AD/Crit is pretty weak until 4 items. Bruiser is just...never. These aren't options, these are all builds that one single ADC can do each. Not exactly diversity or variety. And no, Lifesteal is not a playstyle

Adc have options,for defense, most just build damage anyway because ADC is a one trick pony role,your team and position is supposed to make up for your lack of defensive stats. If we talk about the latter builds, most champ arent reaching 2 or 3 different playstyles we have 156 champions for variety. How many builds can Darius or Veigar do?They might itemize a little, but Darius tank and Darius bruiser only have one gameplay option. You didnt just compare Bruisers whit ADC man,one is a class who needs to win 1 vs 1, so you need to snowball the game. While Adc are a glass canon role reliant on your team for 80% of the game, its the trade off for doing more damage than anyonelse at any stage of the game(yes early game aswell,the average adc does more damage than the average bruiser, adc still lose the 1vs 1 due to having no CC or self peel tho) If you want to be independent just play Vayne top.

@ 2:55 regarding rift maker. Other than the base stats that's a small nerf especially for Kayle. 6% Omnivamp for ranged. Removal of True damage is also a big hit.
Miss Fortune is the same her best build is always lethality, and she has 0 disengage Opportunity + W skill will give her the ability to disengage readjust her position and continue chunking hp bars.

Experimental Hexplate will work wonders on renekton. And for some reason this looks really cool for Talon, gives ofensive stats some bulk and upgrades his ult strenght and cooldown.
With all these changes there are no reasons left to play an actual adc in botlane. Ap champs like ziggs and swain and on hit champs like kogmaw and kaisa will be definitely better.
I doubt it, tanks got alot more magic resist items as well, so I have a feeling adcs will be even more necessary than ever in order to deal with them while being even more unfun to play.
So, just a thought as an ekko main, this feels like a hugeeeee buff to creativity overall since the build felt really stalled out throughout a while now, and I do see me buying some weird combos against certain comps, finally thanks riot
why should riftmaker be the only item with the new chanched omnivamp deaths dance is a good example that could get like 15% omnivamp instead of the heal on kill so it would be like the old one would be cool since in the state it is rn noone will build it and you cant really buff it

I could see Zyra building malignant as well. Her main source of kill potential comes from her ult, and with Demonic Embrace being removed it could fill that slot.

god ,adc got shafted they get a 3200 gold item that has less stats then kraken a 3000 gold item and the passive might sound nice untill you realise you have to auto attack 12 times just to get 25 resist and 30 armour pen. meanwhile mages are getting 3 items that each give over 120 ap and all have the best passives in the game and they each cost the same 3200
i just played eve using stormsurge and she is OP with it. We were all around losing at the start (most of team except her was 0/6) as soon as she got that item she carried and ended the game 30/6 and they surrendered
it’s more of an eve gameplay than the item itself. eve is extremely weak in comparison to others pre 6, then she gets her ult, invisibility and a few items and once you get 2-3 kills it’s easy to run away with the game.
As an Eve main I also immediately thought about her. There are few Ap Champions that can apply the necsessary damage so consistently like eve with her stealth and Protobelt. Also with 25 Mejais stacks and AP potionyou can reach over 1k AP and since the lightning scales...

You still have to deal the same amount of dmg, the passive doesn't really benefit her that well coz you don't take 2 seconds to kill and I think the ap item that she'll love is caster's companion because it's instant and benefits the most from isolation picks I think stormsurge is mostly for aoe mages like Orianna to proc the aoe lighting but Eve wants single target instant burst and caster companion gives you exactly that

Yeah the guy making the tooltips isn't doing his job proper. It's 22% (+12% lethality) armor penetration. It's better than current Serylda only around 70 lethality which is pretty much full build. All around nerf, which is good as that item was being purchased as soon as 2nd, and on bruisers as well. Good change.

Its really nice for Xayah to reposition for feathers... and to get closer to E (cuz the E-auto gives movespeed to chase) I would even have considered Prowlers Claw to funnel all your feathers through the enemy. Sucks :\ Two of the funnest items in game killed

2:00 the old liandry doubles damage against movement impaired enemies. so this one is much weaker. 19:15 the deadman's passive is literally slow resistance.
It's interesting to see League is now taking notes even from Pokémon Unite. First I noticed Hwei's WQ I think where he puts the speed zone on the ground is just Eldegoss Leaf Tornado, and the Mage Bane effect on Caenic Rukern(?) is just straight up Assault Vest with different numbers. Unending Despair is even kind of similar to Rocky Helmet, but I'm chalking that one more to be a coincidence due to how similar it could be compared to old Rammus ult.
They are just coincidences imo, moba is a genre that have existed for basically two decades at this point. Its not really that surprising to see overlapping ideas. In fact, its pretty much impossible to see two mobas without seeing at least 30% similarity
on what fumes are you? wit's end lost 40 AD and 55 on-hit damage, it turned from a great item for all auto attack champions to a niece defensive items for adcs. Basically useless.

Or vice versa for hual breaker. The top lane being the win con but the only one winning Lan, never shows up for objs or team fights because they are using haul breaker

Adc items already got reworked. This really shows how little the community actually pays attention to the game they complain so much about.
Those who say adcs complain alot dont even play adc. Look at adc items they dont give enough ad yet they are expensive. The new item for adcs doesnt even give crit chance.

I would note: Hexplate despite being a “fighter item” will probably become a go-to first item on several ADCs, especially Twitch, Sivir, and Vayne.
It doesn't give enough damage to be a first item , I can see it as a second item in a lot of adcs , zeri will probably like it a lot

ADC mains, we need to level. What did one of us do? Did we not buy enough skins? Did a Rioter's wife cheat with an ADC main? What did we do to make it so every time tanks and bruisers and assassins get their clear show of favoritism, the community applauds the "new innovative things Riot is doing" but the second anything ADC adjacent is given some power, or the above classes are nerfed, everyone calls Riot out on "Their clear ADC favoritism because Phreak is an ADC main". Yeah, I'm feeling that favoritism with every other class at least breaking even on the amount of item options they have, while ADC's are the only role getting a net negative in items and build paths, and even their "adjusted" item is just a nerf. I've never felt more favored in my life

@@zedantXiang You seem to be misunderstanding the role. You can only do about 3 of those builds, and only on very specific champs. Full lethality isn't viable on most ADC's, standard AS/AD/Crit is pretty weak until 4 items. Bruiser is just...never. These aren't options, these are all builds that one single ADC can do each. Not exactly diversity or variety. And no, Lifesteal is not a playstyle

Range of Options(just sheer adaptability for most situations) or gameplay changing builds(for example Ad Varus and AS Varus).
Adc have options,for defense, most just build damage anyway because ADC is a one trick pony role,your team and position is supposed to make up for your lack of defensive stats.
If we talk about the latter builds, most champ arent reaching 2 or 3 different playstyles we have 156 champions for variety.
How many builds can Darius or Veigar do?They might itemize a little, but Darius tank and Darius bruiser only have one gameplay option.
You didnt just compare Bruisers whit ADC man,one is a class who needs to win 1 vs 1, so you need to snowball the game.
While Adc are a glass canon role reliant on your team for 80% of the game, its the trade off for doing more damage than anyonelse at any stage of the game(yes early game aswell,the average adc does more damage than the average bruiser, adc still lose the 1vs 1 due to having no CC or self peel tho)

@ 2:55 regarding rift maker. Other than the base stats that's a small nerf especially for Kayle. 6% Omnivamp for ranged. Removal of True damage is also a big hit.
I think malignance on Ahri is going to be closet insane proccing it 3 times vs 1 person or 9 times minimum in a teamfight will just sew chaos
Ahri, Vex, Karma, Anivia, Katarina and Diana seem like super prime Malignance options.

With all these changes there are no reasons left to play an actual adc in botlane. Ap champs like ziggs and swain and on hit champs like kogmaw and kaisa will be definitely better.
I doubt it, tanks got alot more magic resist items as well, so I have a feeling adcs will be even more necessary than ever in order to deal with them while being even more unfun to play.
So, just a thought as an ekko main, this feels like a hugeeeee buff to creativity overall since the build felt really stalled out throughout a while now, and I do see me buying some weird combos against certain comps, finally thanks riot

god ,adc got shafted they get a 3200 gold item that has less stats then kraken a 3000 gold item and the passive might sound nice untill you realise you have to auto attack 12 times just to get 25 resist and 30 armour pen. meanwhile mages are getting 3 items that each give over 120 ap and all have the best passives in the game and they each cost the same 3200
Don't forget it also gives resistances , tank zeri with it and jaksho will probably be unkilable

i just played eve using stormsurge and she is OP with it. We were all around losing at the start (most of team except her was 0/6) as soon as she got that item she carried and ended the game 30/6 and they surrendered
it’s more of an eve gameplay than the item itself. eve is extremely weak in comparison to others pre 6, then she gets her ult, invisibility and a few items and once you get 2-3 kills it’s easy to run away with the game.
As an Eve main I also immediately thought about her. There are few Ap Champions that can apply the necsessary damage so consistently like eve with her stealth and Protobelt. Also with 25 Mejais stacks and AP potionyou can reach over 1k AP and since the lightning scales...

You still have to deal the same amount of dmg, the passive doesn't really benefit her that well coz you don't take 2 seconds to kill and I think the ap item that she'll love is caster's companion because it's instant and benefits the most from isolation picks
I think stormsurge is mostly for aoe mages like Orianna to proc the aoe lighting but Eve wants single target instant burst and caster companion gives you exactly that

Yeah the guy making the tooltips isn't doing his job proper. It's 22% (+12% lethality) armor penetration. It's better than current Serylda only around 70 lethality which is pretty much full build. All around nerf, which is good as that item was being purchased as soon as 2nd, and on bruisers as well. Good change.

It's interesting to see League is now taking notes even from Pokémon Unite. First I noticed Hwei's WQ I think where he puts the speed zone on the ground is just Eldegoss Leaf Tornado, and the Mage Bane effect on Caenic Rukern(?) is just straight up Assault Vest with different numbers. Unending Despair is even kind of similar to Rocky Helmet, but I'm chalking that one more to be a coincidence due to how similar it could be compared to old Rammus ult.
They are just coincidences imo, moba is a genre that have existed for basically two decades at this point. Its not really that surprising to see overlapping ideas. In fact, its pretty much impossible to see two mobas without seeing at least 30% similarity
on what fumes are you? wit's end lost 40 AD and 55 on-hit damage, it turned from a great item for all auto attack champions to a niece defensive items for adcs. Basically useless.
