Love the things you made. 👏🏻 I have that book mold and had the same result using resin. I’m trying again with Mix2Mold. Your cat is adorable. Cats…getting all up in your business all the time. 🐈⬛😁
Thank you so much! I'm hoping to make more of the book box for selling!! If people like how I decorate it, that is. It's funny that you mentioned that as I finished recording that video today. I'm hoping it will be up Friday. Also, I am sooo behind on your videos! I do like your videos. it's just hard to watch videos when you dont feel great. I'm hoping to be crafting and watching videos tomorrow as long as I dont have a bad headache.
I just got a bucket of this stuff and although I know that huge voids caused by bubbles can be avoidable I wonder if it's possible to patch them. Perhaps by stuffing freshly-mixed stuff into the hole and sanding it flat once cured maybe? If I'm making figurines I'd probably repair it the usual way with bits of putty cause it's just going to be painted over I guess.
Mix2Mod is excellent with details. You just have to be patient and let them cure longer. If they are cool too the touch then they are not cured. The moisture in them is what makes them feel cool.
With the foil, there is a special glue (it stays slightly tacky when dry, specifically for foil). You can get a gorgeous gilded effect if you wait until after they are cured, brush with the glue, then gently lay the foil over top and use a small paintbrush to get into all the cervices. This will give you stunning all over gilding! unfortunately, M2M does use a lot of colorant, since it's opaque instead of transparent (like resin). I like to use acrylic paint to color the M2M vs powders. I dilute the paint with water first, so it's fairly thin, then it mixes into the powder perfectly. I use the colored paint water as the water to add. sometimes I need to add a bit more water to the mix than what it calls for, but so far, zero issues with it. I have also found that overfilling the molds is harder to deal with on the M2M vs resin, so I try to avoid that. I also keep all the thin bits and break them up for mixins the next time I make something. Including the bit that sticks to your mixing container and is really than. Works GREAT!
You could make an ashtray. I don't think you could mix the resin and the mix2mold. But I will do a video trying it out! I do have to drill into one of my pieces to put hinges so I will do a video on that as well. I'm thinking it won't work very well.
All my molds from Temu and a few from Amazon before Temu existed. The product I'm using is called Mix2Mold and it's sold at Michael's. Just wait until you see what I did to the book. Sealing video soon!
@@stephiecreates Hi for anything that has to be made I'm just seeing your videos and you said you had to find out the ratio I think I'll stick with resin
Fun,wonder how it would look with the mica powder mix it in. I am new to resin and have fun trying new things. This stuff looks fun it reminds of something I used years ago

It's actually a very fun product to work with! Yes, she loves to be the center of attention. Thank you for watching! 😊
That book box is super cool! Would love to see how that turns out after you paint it. Beautiful work :)

Is there a way to repair the air bubbles you got in the book lid?
I dont think so, but I was thinking about it. I wonder if there is a way to fill the bubble holes.

Definitely let me know if it works! Love to see what you create!

That is a great tip and good to know! Thank you so much! I live thr mix2mold
I found if you use dye you have to use a lot to give a good color. Thin pieces have a better chance of breaking.
Yes! Thank you! I felt like I put so much dye in it. Lol, I'll try more.

After pouring into molds give it a tap to help get rid of bubbles
Thank you for the advice. I will keep trying! ☺️
Hi can you use resin to make it shine or harder also could you make a ash tray and could you hang it with naiĺs thanks

Stephie that book mold is everything. Where are you buying your molds from? This is so neat. What is this called again? ❤❤❤❤

Everything is so pretty. Love the gold and silver hearts. Looks like you’ve been having fun experimenting lol
Lol thank you! Took me a min to realize what you were calling hearts lol.
Hello Stephanie. I like seeing you trying different things to mix in. My favorite is the book. That will be so cool once painted and sealed. TFS. 💕💕
Thank you so much!! Omg I'm not sure how I want to do it yet! I'm actually outside painting things now. Send me ideas!! Lol
Hi I'm confused about the measurements
Which measurements?
@@stephiecreates Hi for anything that has to be made I'm just seeing your videos and you said you had to find out the ratio I think I'll stick with resin
@TraceyJones-tw1kk Oh they have a cup that tells you how much water and how much mix2mold.
@@stephiecreates ok thanks

Omg I'm going to try that!! Swirl effect with it. Thank you for the idea! I'm addicted to this stuff it's so fun to play with and easy to clean up.
@@stephiecreates funny you say clean up is easy but my ocd was going crazy watching you 🤣🤪
@kerrycanale9472 why!?!? Lol you just break the excess off in the trash then throw everything in soapy water
