    This video is all about the Mix2Mold coloured ceramic resin. One of my subscribers was having issues when working with the product, so I decided to do a test of my own. Will the results be the same? Guess we will find out.
    This channel and the tests I do is all about seeing what works and doesn’t work. Trying things so those who follow can say, ‘glad I am not the only once experiencing this situation’. I am happy to test when I can.
    So, lets see what happens in this experiment.
    Other items mentioned in this video:
    Mix2Mold glossy sealer;
    Alumilite Amazing Hydrocast Mineral Casting Compound Starter Kit

    The last thing I would like to mention, when it comes to your CREATIVITY, please know you are creative, even though you may not think you are, or someone may have said you aren’t. In my course Being Intentionally Creative, I break that myth because I know, and you will as you follow me, that we are all creative, in one form or another, you simply need to look for where your creativity lives.

    Thanks for sharing this. I noticed the mix 2 mold gloss glaze leaves brush marks. I have yet to find a good sealer. On some pieces I use wax but sometimes you need to seal. Wish we had jesmonite sealer in the US. Etsy prices are too high😝

      I have bought some more products to see how they work at sealing, both for pieces that would be kept inside and those outside.

    I've had small spots on the back of items but not on every one, using the purple. I just assumed it wasn't mix quite enough but fronts were fine. I used mod podge with napkins and uv resin finish from and back. I demold after one hour with no issues. Micheals is currently out of stock for the mix2mold in all of southern BC but was able to order the Alumilite compound. Will try it out next week. Cool comes with 2 molds and 5 colours!

    Hi Natalie, I have a thought about the colour coming off on your brush when you seal… I have only used an eco resin twice, so I have no first hand experience, but I’ve watched a lot of videos;
    I’ve heard artists talking about demoulding… and a lot have said, that the reason you demould after 2 hours is because, if you leave it in the mould, it will sweat… most recommend that you demould as soon as it has cured, and place it on a wire rack (specifically so it doesn’t sweat) for 24 hrs to finish hardening.
    So, I was wondering if the sweating is having some sort of effect on the colour? I realise that you leave yours in the mould because it might break while you’re trying to get it out… so, if it is due to the sweating, I’m not sure how to get around it… but it was just something that popped into my head, and wanted to share my thoughts.
    Much love, Nat. ♥️♥️🇦🇺

      thank you for the information from other videos - most of my pieces have been sitting for over 24 hours, so they should be fully cured, it could be the pigment I am using - I will keep working with it to see if I can't get it right : )

    Have you seen Aqua Cast by Elichem. They have a black version now, although it’s not available in Australia yet

      The last time I asked about the Aqua Cast by Elichem the rep here in Canada said it wasn't available here yet. Cool that they have a black version, hopefully when it is available in Australia you might be able to try it, I would be very curious to know if it comes out a true black.

    Natalie, I have all 4 colors but I've only used the green & blue to date. I've not experienced any splotches on the pieces I've made to date. I actually plan to use the pink & purple tonight so I will post afterwards what I notice with those colors. Thank you for sharing your experience with the sealer. I have that sealer but I haven't used it yet.

      looking forward to letting me/us know how the pink and purple work out for you

      @nmbbeingintentionallycreative the pink was definitely splotchy, the purple, not too much. But the piece didn't have much purple in it. It's a thick piece, so I hope the patchiness clears up as it dries.
      Now I want to pour something else with the blue & green to see if I simply overlooked it before.

      @@mahoganyrootsstudio158 - i feel like I have sent you down a creative rabbit hole with playing/testing 😄 when things don't work out the way I think, I wonder is it me or the product. Hopefully you enjoy the process of making the new pieces, after all that is what it is about.

      @nmbbeingintentionallycreative I'm actually enjoying the process as I learn how best to use this product to get the best results. I am truly enjoying working with this product and my Sisters have already claimed several of my pieces. So no, I'm definitely not in the proverbial rabbit hole. 😊☺️

    Thanks for sharing your tips. With the mix2mold I used folkart home decor wax a freind gave me. I used a foam brush let it dry a bit then went over it with cheese cloth because I had some on hand and love it.

      thanks for letting me know what you use, I didn't realize that folkart had a wax... re the cheese cloth, do you use it to buff the piece?
