Would you please consider doing a video on when men are really macho or when women are hyperfeminine? I definitely relate to the signs of anima possession despite being a woman and your insights would be greatly appreciated.
Here's one that's hard to articulate. I have trust issues, with reality. Thoughts of god, of demons, unknown entities, and general abiss of unknowing wether any of this experience is real, or what it means, send me spiraling often gently yet deeply into pain. I sometimes relate this pain of mistrustfulness to childhood trauma, which I watch many videos about which feel nourishing but never actually show me the proper door. Am I lazy? Would I do the work if I were convinced it's right for me? Another difficulty as I posed earlier is that the mistrusting reality bit is often conflated by philosophical and mystical views on life. I feel dead, lacking, remote. Would love to read what you make of this mess I shared, keeping in mind it's only a fracture of a moment in a life richer than can be described.

Excellent video Jordan. One of the best videos I've seen about the masculine/feminine. I'm still trying to understand it myself but this is great for my research.
Thx for the von franz book rec. Another great one for feminine psychology is "The Way of All Women" by M. Esther Harding. Jung wrote the introduction to it, and it has a chapter on the "ghostly lover" (real or imagined) which addresses the projection of the animus, and anima to a lesser degree (esp in their practical applications and propensities to sabotage current relationships). It goes into the different seasons of a woman’s life, but I find it a great resource for women nearing their 30s since they are coming to the end of their childbearing years and have difficulty sometimes accepting the next season without regression.
Brilliantly articulated. I am looking forward to sharing this video. Thank you for this spot on description and the list of books. Self scholarship is a big part of cultivating more awareness, real world practice is conjunct with it.

Your reference to acting out in fantasy online with cam models etc. reminded me of what a psychologist said about prostitution (to which I would include cam services): that for men it can be some kind of manipulation. The unconscious mind gets attached to an avatar of the mother formed in early childhood, or what that represented to you (e.g. Love, validation, acceptance). As a child you can learn to somewhat emotionally manipulate your mother because she will love you anyway. This manipulation has some kind of unconscious parallel in paying for sexual services later in life, where you can indeed have this kind of power over the feminine avatar. Would you agree with that idea?
Do you have insight for someone suffering with autogynephilia? It feels like I'm dominated by my anima, and that I am in love with it, completely idealizing the feminine and rejecting masculine qualities. Needing it to be incarnated, becoming her, which is obviously an illusionary path. Thanks.
Very cool and informative video, I have some doubts... I don´t understand the part of seasonality, I have to have all figured out before starting to integrate the anima?, I have to have all figured out before receiving and enjoying nature?. The way I see it, integrating the anima is also part of the journey, it's like when people say you have to be fully healed to enter a relationship. I understand that having finances, health and other things figured out could be very positive in a sense, that it gives you a certain freedom in which you can expand yourself in a safe space, however, what if you die tomorrow and you don´t have everything figured out?, you will never be able to do it?, you'll never be able to embrace nature and your personal myth and enjoy life. It might be true that there are seasons, and maybe you will not be always in the same polarity, but maybe this seasons are not like completing a stage and then moving on to the other, I think life is a little more chaotic and unpredictable, and maybe is all happening at the same time, but we don´t access everything at the same time. So can you explain a little bit more? please
I love Jung's theory of archetypes but I hate the reality it implies. The fact we still need relationships to grow is so disheartening, specially for autistic or shy men like me. No wonder why people use drugs. It feels like having to beg people for significant relationships after the same people rejected you anyway even for stuff you cannot control. But I guess that is life. No wonder Gnostics thought this reality was demonic, so it seems.

I have also never taken too kindly to jungian pyschology because of how archetypal/stereotypical it is but it is becoming more palatable watching your videos. Do you have any recommendations from non-jungian perspectives that holistically cover these concepts?

I highly highly recommend the youtube channel "Jung to Live By". Steve and Pauline Richards work on the anime and animus is incredible. They do add the wholeness of what it means to be a human, not only psychologizing these kind of Jungian ideas which can easily turn into fantasy and thus, mis direct the intentionality of who we actually are.
I’ve had this random silly mantra ‘popping up’ in my head recently… ‘Big D*!k Energy’ I guess because I’ve taken on a role that requires me to really step up & perhaps integrate my disciplined masculine qualities, I hadn’t really linked the two but it seems pretty obvious now! How funny. I also had to check out the real meaning of it and I like the calm, collected confidence it suggests, again something I need to embrace big time!

I am confused on your difference in delivery of information from women to men. With women you took a more shame/fear based approach basically reminding women about our reproductive time limits and how mush we’ll regret not having children when our periods start to change. You even ended it by saying we should adjust our levels of fem/mas based off our “natural” cycles. You completely ignore the fact that many women are completely feminine/happy without having children. You also ignore the fact that women are still women after reproduction has stopped. Yet with men, you’ve taken a kinder stance. You’re basically selling them on the idea of integration by reiterating how it befits them personally. Basically it seem you are biased. As a someone in field I can confidently say it is inaccurate to assert we need the opposite sex to be whole. It’s extremely harmful to suggest this. We are all capable of being whole on our own. I hope you do some self reflecting because gay people exist ❤
I love working with both men and women, and around 75% of my clients are women, and I enjoy working with them on issues that matter to them. There are some important differences between the genders, and my experience tells me that men and women have different motivational patterns and unconscious pain points. I can never be completely accurate when making generalised videos such as these, and appreciate you might not personally resonate with my approach on this particular video. Wishing you the best.
We all have equal parts femininity and masculinity because all traits are two sided like a coin. If we have one trait we also hold the opposite trait in qual measure we just choose to repress one (normally the one society tells us we should). Also masculinity/femininity are just labels we give traits that lay on a continuum for everyone. Just as each individual persons pain point will be different than the next. When you heal you learn to love and integrate all aspects of yourself including the repressed aspects labeled as those belonging to another gender. You fully embrace who you are and love yourself unconditionally. Not only do we not need any external stimulus to be whole, external stimulus can never change internal being. They are on two different levels of consciousness. My hubs can’t heal me nor I him, we can only heal ourselves because the thing that needs healed is inside us and only under our control. For some healing is better when others are used as mirrors, for others it’s better as a solitary journey. We must never lose sight of people’s individuality and subjectivity. We can cause more trauma to those we serve if we aren’t able to see the individual for who they are, and only for who we believe them to be. Be aware the boxes we put people in often end up as coffins for their hearts and souls. Namaste

They do add the wholeness of what it means to be a human, not only psychologizing these kind of Jungian ideas which can easily turn into fantasy and thus, mis direct the intentionality of who we actually are.
Yes, they have some great work!
Thank you
You're welcome, enjoy the reading too 🌲
Gosh, healing journey is so much harder than I thought 😂😂😂 humans are complicated
Great video btw, thank you for your hard work 👍👍👍
It’s a complicated process at time, but it can also be simple when it comes to the basics. This is certainly a more advanced video hahah
Precisely! Plenty of ways to grow towards wholeness 🌲
i rather comment that men are wonderful 😀
Appreciate the support!
pretending to say that there's a woman in man is a completely misinterpretation of the Anima, especially now that we live in the age of stupidity
hey man, can i give my anima a name
Sure, you can make your own decisions here 🌲

Namaste
On the leading edge of healthy masculine structure on YT. Hack = the square brackets. 😂 I think it’s really working though.
[This is where the magic happens]
