*1-1 Mentorship Information: Price & Structure (Maximum Capacity = 20 Clients Per Year)*
It's an absolute pleasure to film these TH-cam videos, and I feel fortunate to receive an abundance of meaningful messages every week, but I am unfortunately faced with the disappointing reality of turning away the vast majority of people who want to work together.
I have significantly limited availability and can only support twenty people per year because I do not offer one-off calls or drop-in consulting sessions.
Twenty individuals might not sound like maximum capacity, but the last few years of teaching have taught me the importance of maintaining tight energetic boundaries if I want to keep uploading these free videos in addition to serving my current clients to the best of my ability in 2024.
To minimise confusion and enhance transparency, I've spent several hours writing this ridiculously long comment to help you decide if my Inner Work Mentorship is the right choice for your development & what you could reasonably expect from working closely together.
Please take the time to read this service description before contacting me on Instagram… or feel free to stop reading right now if you’re not interested in my fees, session structure, client expectations, etc.
    ...
    *READ BEFORE SCROLLING FURTHER:*
I'm interested in long-term change and structural transformation, which is why I've never offered one-off sessions.
Complex issues cannot be resolved in a few hours, but we likewise need to define an upper limit for containment and collaboration.
I've learned that deep and enduring self-integration requires at least four months of immersive effort. Why four months? It's enough weekly contact for us to work through multiple complex issues and developmental possibilities, but short enough to mitigate against unconscious co-dependency and motivational stagnation.
I'm currently accepting a maximum of two new clients per month - message me after reading the following section to check my availability.
    ...
*HOW I WORK & WHO I WORK WITH*
Unlike other coaches and teachers who take an understandably more relaxed approach to healing and integration, my mentorships are characteristically intense.
This is a highly-demanding, high-investment process which requires our consistent combined effort over a period of four months.
If we were to start working together, I would reasonably expect you to be excited to show up for a minimum of 10+ hours of self-motivated transformative practice per week (daily reading, fitness routine, creative exercises, spiritual reflection, etc.) while also maintaining full-sobriety (no drink, no drugs, no cigarettes, no vapes).
These strict standards of discipline and sobriety are plainly unsuitable for most people in most situations - even genuinely motivated individuals who resonate with my TH-cam videos may not be the right match for four months of structured mentorship.
If you want to get deeper, I've noticed that there's a certain type of ‘temperament' & 'timing’ to get the most out of me.
I'm interested in alert, creative and purpose-driven individuals who aspire to exceptional standards of self-maturation and would enjoy the feeling of going through week-on-week of progressively stacked transformative experiences for a third of a year: my ideal client is somebody who is willing to bring forward their internal complexity with a sense of courage and transparency with the intention of nothing less than full-spectrum transformation & rapid acceleration on their personal path.
I am yet to discover another supportive figure who offers something comparable to this mentorship: a four-month, structured yet flexible 1-1 container which is simultaneously therapeutic, academic and action-oriented; with primary focus placed on tangible improvements in your felt sense of self-knowledge and self-integration; in addition to making consistent and meaningful progress towards your unique goals and mentorship aspirations.
I prioritise contact, compassion and accountability, which means that your work never really 'ends' at the end of your session. You can reasonably expect to be fed dozens of customised reading suggestions and follow-on perspectives outside of the formal sessions via friendly and informal messenger contact, where I am active and available four days per week to cultivate an intimate personal connection while likewise enhancing your positive momentum via accountability check-ins and additional support as required.
By way of conclusion for what feels like an extraordinarily long comment and service description, I feel compelled to once more emphasise that working directly with me is unrealistic for most people in most situations.
I often support people who are accustomed to wrestling with the emotional challenges associated with working through complex wounds in previous therapeutic relationships before we begin our coaching work together. Even individuals without 'hard trauma' can expect moments of pressurised darkness and heaviness during periods of shadow contact as you begin to restructure your personal unconscious. We will be exploring your psyche and soma at scale and depth, and it will be your responsibility to keep me informed about the emotional texture of your internal reality, especially if you encounter negatively charged experiences, and I will of course do everything in my power to support you through the hard times as we integrate the darkness and move forwards together.
TH-cam is a wonderful place for me to share free research resources and offer accessible inner work invitations; my private mentorships, however, are the place for collaborative partnership and emotional security as we identify, navigate and restructure oftentimes confronting and challenging conscious and unconscious physical, emotional and mental material.
Ultimately, this is a highly-demanding but highly-rewarding process which requires the best of our shared intentions.
    ...
    *SESSION STRUCTURE & FEES:*
The total fee for an Inner Work Mentorship (including 12 x 2 hr sessions) is £7,400 GBP or approximately $9,400 USD. This is my only coaching programme, and my mentorship pricing is liable to adjustment over time.

Each private session lasts two hours, and is facilitated via Telegram video call at an ideal time for both of us. Your mentorship extends over a linear four-month period, with a total of twenty-four hours of structured session time, in addition to four days per week of unlimited messenger availability for accountability updates, voice note exchanges and informal calls upon occasion. I do not work on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays, but I am fully-available across all timezones for regular calls and messenger contact on Thursday - Sunday.
If you’ve scrolled this far, and resonate with what I’m offering, I invite you to message me on Instagram. It would be my pleasure to start exploring your goals and intentions in real-time.
IMPORTANT: I am an intentionally independent coach, and not a licensed therapist or associated with any professional bodies or coaching institutions, and therefore enjoy the freedom to collaborate with my clients across all areas of life in an intimate, direct and highly involved coaching style. I work with no more than twenty people per year, and am currently accepting a maximum of two new clients per month. I also manage my own inbox and do not use automated systems or employ people to pretend to be me on Instagram, which means that it usually takes four to six weeks for me to respond to new messages and begin the interview process. Although my approach takes time, I hope you ultimately appreciate my personal emphasis on authentic and confidential communication from the very beginning of our relationship. I once again encourage you to message me immediately if you want to start working together within the next two months - bump yourself to the top of my inbox, and I’ll send you some voice notes to get our conversation started.

I struggled with depression and isolating myself, after some heartache and loss of inner joy, when in my early twenties. When sat on the bathtub with a knife in my hand, I realised I couldn’t do it. Some part resisted. That was fascinating. It took me some time of inner work, without guidance, through visualisation journeys and dialogue with the subconscious, that finally one day I lay in bed and my own face appeared inches away from me. Clear as chrystaline awareness. Every line on my face, we just watched eachother deep in the eyes in silence. After some time my face disappeared. I woke up while being wide awake, drew back the curtains after 2 years, called my work and school I’d be rejoining efforts, and my depression finished that very moment. Unbelievable.

When I was a child I remember telling someone I wanted to be an artist when I grew up, but due to financial necessity I went into a life of straight officework jobs from a young age for many years. Now I've retired, even though I still have a strong family commitment to meet, what spare time I get I'm throwing myself into art and when I finish a small painting or artwork for my weekly online challenge, it SO lifts my mood. I feel I am honouring my child within. So true.

On that pine cone, each scale carries 2 seeds, and each cone has many scales. So the cone never becomes a tree, but each carries the potential to become many trees. For some pine species, the cones lie dormant until being awoken by a forest fire, then the seeds awaken to repopulate the land. There is a lot to pine cones.

TH-cam recommended this video from 3 years ago and the transformation is so obvious. Everything seems to have changed, starting with your voice depth, talking speed and ending with the half empty bookshelf behind you (that seems to be the biggest change). I have been doing Active Imagination, but mainly focused on my shadows: parts of me I dislike. 95% of the time they are hurt or are tired of doing their jobs and they need my help. Most of the times, we reach an agreement to work as a team. I use humor and a lot of love. I realized LOVE is the cure-it-(almost)-all remedy. The universe, the world and life moves because of love. I would consciously choose what part of me I would be connecting with, but from this video, it seems that I can just connect with whatever shows up. I personally use Open Awareness meditation to connect and these characters or sub-personalities almost always have a shape: a gem, a video game character, an animal...

This is by far the best video I have come across that interprets the idea of active imagination in a simple straightforward manner with accuracy
I have watched this video long time back but I wanted to read the book Inner work by Robert Johnson first and then come back to this video
Inner work has healed me more so in my life than anything else before neither science nor religion could resolve my inner conflict
But inner work has change my life
I also am a cage fighter ,I choose that as my hobby since I wanted to see my real skin and my inner self always wanted me to test my courage in the cage ,to see if I could go for a war with a man of my caliber
through getting beaten up in fights and sometimes completely dominated, sacred and nervous ,I have learnt a lot about myself
Whenever my shadows ask me do something,I do it right away and regardless of the outcome ,I feel extremely satisfied
I have come a long way in understanding myself just in one year

Yes, there's always an element of projection in social interactions - but perhaps the inner work could be taking a closer introspective look at the shadows or parts which are actually corresponding to the projections you receive? Sometimes it can be shocking to realise what was there beneath the surface!

I create stories. Recently I starter doing active imagination and my characters started appearing and talking to me.
The last time I did it, three days ago I think, I were very worried about something on my personal life. This worry were doing harm to me, and I knew it, but I couldn't get rid of it.
Then, I did the active imagination.
Generally doing active imagination helps me to concentrate and keep my calm and relaxed state, so I did it. Then something unexpected happened. A figure that I didn't expected appeared on on my active imagination, one of my villains. I thought that a hero would be the one who would be able to help me to put myself together, but it was the villain. And the contact I had with he and his ideas helped me to abandon all my worries and to focus on my future, my destiny.
    This was an interesting experience.
I generally see this character as something similar to my Shadow. He is similar to what I would be if I were evil, and his reasons are the reasons I would have if I were evil. It were surprisingly interesting to see that he could inspire me as well.

Nice explanation and ty for the book recommendation. I got into A.I by mistake during a meditation on a certain subject.
I found myself into a foreign space having a conversation with a strange character. And it all starts from there.
I'm mostly concerned about if there are side effects to this because it can also get very intense and dark. Jung gave some warnings, considering he was sleeping with a gun under his pillow yikes...

    • @jordanthornton
      @jordanthornton  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Blindly (or even hopefully) roaming around unconscious territory can be incredibly destabilising, for sure. I've had my own unsettling experiences which is why I would never advise 'just doing' shadow work with minimal understanding of the territory itself - we need to be cautious, even if it's unlikely that most people will encounter particularly spooky elements. I'm glad you are taking precautions, and hope you find value in the reading suggestions, plenty more in the description of my videos too!

When I have a feeling (trauma) and I cannot place it, what it actually is, what emotion it is or where it originates from, I ask my self / inner parts / subconcious if they are willing to visualise it. Then I pause my concious thougts for a few seconds (meditation like state) and let go of the outcome / answer (if I am preoccupied with what I want it to be, it does not work). More often than not some scene / idea / concept / animal appears that explaines the pain. I can then ask questions about it, like: is it rejection? And I get a yes or no. Really helpful. Then I can proceed with dialog to facilitate healing.

ok, so I stepped into this video before watching the previous videos....What I have found is that I may have already been doing this in journaling this whole time. For example, when I am frustrated about something, or hurt, and I write, I try to look at it from the opposite standpoint to reach a resolution that lessens the initial feelings and emotions that prompted me to write in the first place. Now, I just need to look back and see which part is the human side and which is the unconscious side. Now onto your other videos to fill in any possible blanks. Enjoyed this very much!

I just found your video. Have been working on improving myuself, as I have endured a great amount of traumas in my life (not meaning that I have more then others, as I know we ALL have our traumas we have dealt with), but as of recent, I have just barely gotten over having migraines where it feels like an ice pick in the back of your skull, through an eye socket with a hammer rythmically hammering away. I may not yet be at my idea weight or look, but am probably the healthiest I have ever been in my life & am trying to work on all facets of myself, be it physical, mental, emotionaly, spiritualy, etc.
When you mentioned the conversation with the hurt inner child (a source of IMMENSE toture you might say), imagining a character I made long ago, embracing this younger crying self with their arms and angel wings (character is a angelic being kinda how I consider myself to try and be more of a postive constructive force in this world as opposed to a deconstructive one, and I managed to allow a few tears out, something that I have always struggled with. Usually, I have to "force" it to happen, be it by watching some form of media that I vibe strongly with.
I am hoping that through the methods you have stated, I can encourage healing in that way as well so I may be better able to deal with whatever reality has in store for me and the hopes I may improve myself, not just for my own benefit, but so I may aid in uplifting others to being better versions of themselves as well.
    | am slowly starting to get back into art and trying to not be so harsh on myself or if say a line isn't as good, I keep going and not allow that one thing to impede upon my drawing, also trying to remove judgement from whatever it is I may "see". Sometimes, things get altered from the original goal, but I am getting happier that I am at least putting something unto paper, even if I may not get popular right now with it. Who knows what the future may bring me though. :P
    Thank you for this video.

As an INFJ Meyer Briggs type, I find that I am particularly drawn to the intuitive and imaginative approach to this and the excitement that it can generate. About 10 years ago, I became so deeply interested in this type of thinking that I found myself drawn to the Christian teachings of Graham Cooke, the International House of Prayer, and other charismatic-leaning Christian teachings that get into new age teachings at times. I was even involved in what where called Sozo deep healing sessions and learning dream interpretation based on certain archetypes. And while at the time, I felt that it was a genuine breakthrough in my faith, and I felt that I was helping people, I eventually found that my life was consumed with seeking religious experiences and a faith based on feeling God’s presence, and it eventually led to a lot of anxiety and poor decisions in my life because I felt out of control. My feelings were often taking the lead, which remakes havoc on many areas of my life.
In a way, I’m grateful for the experience because it set me on a rapid crash course in understanding the pitfalls of leaning to heavily on intuition and feelings, and it led me to seek mental help to better integrate rational thinking and discernment into my life, which has been an incredible growth experience. It felt awful at times, depressing, and incredibly painful, but it has been worth it for where I am now.
I would say this kind of practice has made me much more aware of my feelings and my thoughts, which did help me become more self aware, but I think this can actually be accomplished with more current mindfulness-based approaches in what may be a more psychologically healthy route.
All that to say, I would encourage research into Jungian ideas before subscribing to them and especially be careful with seeking visions or imaginative experiences as a way of shaping your reality. For me, it actually removed me further from it.
I have learned that intuition is not flawless. It’s a limited reflection of what I perceive as reality, which is based on limited information. Challenging my thoughts and my interpretation of reality while seeking more information has led to tremendous growth in my life, and I feel that this type of Jungian approach may actually hinder that growth.

Years before that, i have been having visions, whenever I'm about to go to sleep, while still awake(usually just having a conversation with myself or making up a scenario on my head) and then suddenly i see an image appear right before my eyes (totally not telated to the conversation or the scenarios i was thinking of)
I have seen very strange things, from hugging a women in a place i have never been, seeing odd looking monsters trapped in some sort of basement, seeing a Raven at the university i study in, with huge wings , an old man wearing all white handing me a beautiful book, decorated with gems ect. Later on, out og curiosity, i started reading the Red Book, and to my surprised he was talking him having very similar experiences with himself and his patients as well. I still cannot determine all of the visions i had based on their meaning.

As I listen and receive, the awareness is, that this conversation is already naturally occurring, on its own, without anyone having to "do" it. It is the conversation, or relationship between Self and self. Or, as the mystics say, Self to self. Self speaking to itself, touching itself, tasting itself, becoming itself. There is one, the programmed conversation, which is based in the repetition of the separation myth. and this is recognizable as self talk, or self criticism, or keeping one at a distance from oneself. And then there is the discovery of the inner dialogue, which recognizes itself, falls in love with the recognition of itself, has a continual love affair with itself.... More like an undressing, or unveiling of what obscures the naturally, intimate dialogue rather than the active creating of a dialogue. But perhaps it depends on the person, how it unfolds, how it is discovered. 🙏

@@jordanthornton The pull to engage what you have naturally inspired is a sincere pleasure for me.
I often smile at myself, feeling compelled to share before a video,a person completes their message. And in this, I can share "prematurely" because of having received so much treasure (in myself, the other and what occurs in the field between, no matter the physical distance) In so few words, gestures and expressions put forth, I feel lit and cannot contain myself. And, upon further viewing (and some patience!), I've become aware that your offering is such grace and wonder for those newly in conversation with themselves, and gifts many (the comments below speak) with direct tools, activating the deepest longing for self/soul connection. I recall this occurring for me very spontaneously at one time earlier in my journey, the inner dialogue, while having been so devoted to self inquiry. What you offer, and how you offer is such potent magic. There really is, for me, no greater magic and beauty than the alchemical power we all share of falling into reality with the Self. Thank you for your earnest and open offering to so many. 🧡

I did post this response earlier, as well unassumingly offering my email address, and then realized that TH-cam flags and removes comments containing email addresses. If you feel the natural movement to connect more deeply via email or elsewhere (I don't do much with social media), I am open. I am just now gently stepping out with my own offerings and find your expression and availability to others inspiring the movement.

I have just tried it and what it resulted in: 1. I was stuck in contradiction of trying to listen and preserve balance at the same time, but, logically, if you mostly listen then there is no balance 2. I completely lost consciousness and ended up in a dream that told me that I should just erase myself, as if I'm some kind of worst criminal to ever live...

Great video and it quite resonates after the fact. I wonder if what has happened to me is more common yet not spoke about. To make a long story short I didn't realize that my invisible friend as a child was literally what I might consider my higher-self as I've come full circle with it. It was literally like having one foot on both sides of the door until societies biased reality slammed that door. Society began to force me to relate and associate reality on it's term and being a child I fell in line. It was like all the stuff that I use to know without doing the work was in the way society teaches was forced to take a back seat especially in school.
Fast forward things would still come in a way but It was like doing double duty having gotten it my way and now having to present in society's way and all that was required of it. Many amazing and strange things along the journey that I really thought nothing of until a little over 10yrs ago in my 40's we were back. It's hard to even explain as I was learning about so many things on inner work that I guess it was time and everything was leading up to my higher-self being made known to me and reminding me of the invisible friend which I had forgotten about and barely remember.
There is a balance and I learned quickly that I don't have to do all the work anymore and we still joke about it. It was just something out the blue and I was told we'll handle it and it often put me in the mind of the phrase "let go, let God" and I did. Still to this day sometimes I'm just like "take care of that" and it would be taken care of. That's when I realized that moving ahead too fast is not an option as everything has to be brought to us in the form of experiences. I started to see how so many were living through other's experiences and not having their own and not really progressing. It's like borrowed or stolen magic, it never last but the real magic from within can never be taken away.
I thought the floodgates would just open up and everything would be made known but that's not how it works and I started to realize that all the answers would eventually come at the proper time through an experience. Knowing this make you see this reality through a different lens and makes even the mundane of situations quite new and refreshing. Most of the things shown to each of us will probably be on a more personal level and not quite relevant to anyone else or at least that's in my case.
It's like being at the beginning of a maze and having someone whisper in your ear that we already made it out and instead of trying to figure it out on your own you say lead the way. It doesn't mean that everything will be rainbows and roses but you now look a life's situations through a non biased lens and only as an experience to fulfill our purpose. At first it's like being a kid in a candy store and even though you're told all the candy is yours you stuff yourself with all the possibilities until you look at yourself and say are you done. We're so busy trying to rush through as though was is you can ever be taken away that we forget to enjoy the experience and that's when we slap ourselves. It makes you realize that regardless of all we've been through we wouldn't change one second of it because of where we are right now. There's so much more but you probably haven't even read all this and sometimes it pours out as if there's something important to get across and who knows maybe this is for someone.
Going to check out more of your series as most things I start to run into come in the form of confirmation and stands out like a sore thumb. This is the greatest time to be alive yet some of us don't realize it and I can understand that as everyone's situation is different and some challenges seem insurmountable. Maybe this was just for me but I was told we came here for this to live it in the NOW and experience on a different level than already know and to live in it and not just through it. I sense just as in a vibration or frequency wave there are going to be a lot of ups and downs for some but in the end it's all well worth it! Good luck on your journeys and to all those on the path we're here to help one another so you don't have to do this alone and that's something I have to keep telling myself so I play my part. To anyone who made it this far remember eventually you won't have to move mountains because the mountains will already know to move! 🙏❤🙏

Do you hear your normal thoughts in your head in your voice/ are you a sensing personality type?
It's confusing when people say "you're gonna hear a voice" because a lot of us don't even hear our own voice in our heads when we think/ don't have an internal language based dialogue, but think in more symbolic/intuitive/visual/graphical/geometric/color/etc ways that we then translate to language when we need to communicate it or write it down but can be pretty rational otherwise. The first tends to correlate with dominant sensing types, or types who may be intuitive but have masculine sensing per objective personality system. So when we don't even hear our own voice in our heads, I'd think that the archetypes wouldn't express as voices either, unless other people who do active imagination and don't have auditory language based thoughts do actually hear the archetypes' voices.
Also do you think Jung actually heard voices? Does he ever mention having an internal dialogue? He was an intp with feminine sensing
