I owned a CH model Mack truck. It was a total dog exclamation point I fueled and added a gallon of Lucas upper cylinder lubricant and after an hour of driving I had double the power double the pickup. I have never used a additive that gave me this kind of noticeable change in operation.
Ive found that Redline's product has the best results. There were noticeable improvements in fuel efficiency, and the engine seemed a bit more peppy. Over the years, I've tried other brand's fuel additives, and I noticed nothing. So far, only Redline.
Berryman B-12 is a better FUEL INJECTOR cleaner while Seafoam is a better intake system cleaner, so that is kinda "apples-to-oranges". I can strongly endorse BOTH products, and I've used Berryman since the 1960's on small engines carburetors (the old-fashioned kind!) that were plugged-up with crud. My best friend growing up, his Dad had a 1950 Dodge pick-up that was running bad and I took-off the carb and got a $2.20 re-build kit for it, dipped the parts in Berryman Carb Cleaner (gallon can with the basket) and re-built the carb on his front porch, put it back on, and was shocked when it fired first crank! I think I was 11 1/2 years-old that summer. Mr. Stage offered me $10 about the parts and cleaners, but I knew he couldn't afford it. I shook his hand instead. The next spring I put a new carb on my parent's 1953 Chevy Bel-Air, then a starter on Paw-paw's 1952 DeSoto "Baby" Hemi (that was HARD, a 6 volt starter was HEAVY!).
GUMOUT WINS HANDS DOWN!!! The P.E.A. is Nitrogen based and comes in all Shell gasoline. There is some in the 87 and 89 octane version mixed with the Ethanol. But, The 93 V-Power Nitro+ has 5 times the Nitrogen in it than the lower grades and has absolutely no Ethanol whatsoever. That is why the Shell 93 can do without the Ethanol and the Government is still happy. And no Phase Separation with gas sitting for long periods that is associated with Ethanol. I found this out by talking with Shell, reading there literature and their videos about there gasolines. Chris Fix did an excellent video on Shell gasoline including mentioning that Shell has 7 times the cleaning agents than Sunoco Ultra, etc. I always use Shell 93 with the P.E.A. no matter what the price is! My tailpipe will prove how well it is in cleaning out any carbon in an engine. It is completely black and does not taste or smell like gas or oil. And I'm not running rich , lean , or burning any oil. It is just the carbon grit that gets cleaned out completely. SHELL FTW!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!
Lucas for me. Have been using it since the day I bought my 89 S-10 blazer.Gave it away with 359k. Never ever had a problem. Still had the original muffler. I buy it in the gallon size and just keep refilling the little bottles.
I've always liked the B12. I like the Gumout too. If you run any of these in your fuel every 2-3 months, they would all work just fine and would keep stuff from building up. Thanks to the maker of the video
I’ve ran Seafoam for many years, even back when I had my old carbureted cars it’s always worked great. There’s a reason why it’s called a tuneup in a can.
One thing to consider is the effect of heat and pressure on combustion with the chemical, that's not being tested. So, in my opinion this test is still inconclusive.
@@mrunderhood Well seafoam is like straight alcohol it’s a good cleaner for small components like injectors and carb parts like jets, needle valves etc.
@@TorqueMonsterAWD That's wise. Use Top Tier rated fuels too every fill up. *Utilizes much more detergents/additives than fed minimums* . Google Top Tier gas stations list. All i use in both my newer F150 trucks w/gen2- 3.5L GTDI engines. Can't beat Ford trucks.💯

I was shocked to see Lucas be the one to not work so well with your soaking test. My friends 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250 sat in the garage for 9 years straight. I drained the gas, didn’t take apart the carb and wanted to see if Lucas would clean the carburetor with out having to take it apart with adding new gas. Well it did, started it everyday pumping the throttle, day one nothing. Day two, it started to kick over, day three started to kick over and run really rough. Day four idled good and let it run to get more Lucas in the carb. Day five I got to ride it, not 100% smooth, so I ran the Lucas really rich in the gas and maybe put three to four times as much as recommeded. That did the trick and now it starts up great, not the smoothest at low rpm’s but Lucas carburetor/injection/fuel cleaner worked with out ever taking the carb apart that sat for 9 years w/old gas in the lines! There is something to say about that. I flushed out the lines with new gas before adding Lucas to the gas tank, I just wanted to be clear about that.
I did same with an 06 Victory Kingpin MC that had been sitting in garage for almost 6 years and had had a half tank of gas evaporate from the tank/system; but, I was using Seafoam and it only took 3 tries/days.
@@rkba4923 I hear great things about Sea Foam. So on the third day did it run smooth? I never got the Kawasaki Ninja 250 to run smooth at low RPM’s. Starts fine, but jerky when applying the throttle to take off. Maybe Sea Foam can fix the difference from here!
I have 2017 Toyota 86 with about 70000 miles on it . Love the channel! Then ol’ boy that showed me how well seafoam works put it in the gas tank as per instructions. However he also put a little in every vacuum line inbound to the engine. Before this was done, my 96 Lincoln was running a little rough. Not quite missing bad, but entering the interstate, you knew to not shoot any gaps. During that initial treatment (done in the parking lot at work) the Secretary came running out to make sure we were ok. The exhaust 0:00 cloud was enormous. No wind at all made sure the entire building knew what we were up to. It worked. No more hesitation at all after the treatment. I did it every other month, Until every electrical device broke. Scraped the car. Unfortunate, as the drivetrain was bulletproof!
The cleaners may have been designed to work WITH gasoline. Like pure liquid soap dose not clean that well. It relies on the polarity of the H2O molecule to pull the dirt and grease away from your hands for example.
Sooo we dissolved carbon? Could have made a whole video of putting them in degrease and got same results. This isn't a quantitative study, it's a poor singularity
We own 3 vehicles. I put in a can of Gumout every 6K miles on each of our vehicles to keep the fuel ejectors clean. I also change the oil every 4K miles with Kirkland full synthetic. Every 30K miles I have the front and rear differential, transfer case and a transmission flush. The radiator is back flushed every 3 years or 36K miles. Every 60K miles I replace all the belts and hoses. We generally keep our vehicles for 15-20 years/ 250-300K miles or until they need a major repair. When we do sell our vehicles our family and friends always want first dibs because they know what a maintenance nut I am. The most miles I ever got out of a vehicle was a Toyota Corolla. When it finally died it was 24 years old and had a Whopping 488K miles. It was 5 years old when I bought it with 70K miles. I bought it from my sister for $500 for my college car. She paid only $950 for it when it was 3 years old with 21K miles from my grandparents as her old Celica died so my grandparents sold it to her for her college car. When it died in 02, I replaced it with a new Camry.
In all my small engines, as in my generators. I use 91 octane with the b12 and marvel mystery oil. Check by removing the intake and look at the valve and where the fuel is contacting the valve going into combustion chamber was as shiny as a new nickle. I also use this combination in my vehicles, and you can use this combination with ehthanol blende gas of different octanes with the same results, I just prefer using my mixture as above for my small equipment because i dont use them enough to use ethanol and the problems it can cause by letting it set for extended periods of time. In finishing b12 is the best I've found for injectors and clean carburetors along with the marvel mystery oil, have been using this combination for well over 25 years and marvel for over 60 plus years
Great work. I use Amsoil upper cylinder at every fuel up. I run the injector cleaner at every fill up as well but only use it a little at a time. Also their oil is the best.
From my own experience I bought a bore cam just because it was 70% off. I had some of the spray Seafoam laying around and figured since the carb was off I would spray a @ a 1.5 second blast down the intake runners and take a look. The intake valves had some carbon. As soon as I looked I could see the Seafoam bubbling. It was also "smoking" a bit. I ran the camera in to the valve and it left a clean spot where it contracted.
Thanks for Sharing!👍 Yep, another good way to clean the intake valves and tops of pistons Is to spray it in your intake or in your case carburetor while the engine is warmed up and running. Using quick short sprays, just be careful not to spray too much at a time.
A old trick years ago to clean up carboned up valves was to start the engine and get it up to operating temperature then used a small cup with cold water in it and slowly pour water down the throats of the carburetor while the other hand rev's the throttle on the carburetor and what happens is the cold water against the hot carbon on the valves breaks the carbon off of them . I use to do this to my parents cars back in the late 60s early 70s and you could see all the carbon deposits and black crud left on the drive way after . Obviously that's much harder to do with fuel injection now but it does work on carbureted vehicles . B12 chem tool use to make these cans that had screw on ends and a screw on adapter for the Schrader valve on your fuel injection line and what we used to do is hook the can and the adapter up to the schrader valve then pull the fuse out for the fuel pump then start the vehicle and let it run until the can was empty . So what this does is it makes the B12 get pulled through all of the injectors at full strength and concentration instead of being mixed with fuel that dilutes the injectior cleaner . I can buy a 15oz can of B12 at Walmart for just under 5.00 a can now just a month ago but the cans I see don't have those screw or threads on the ends so that might be something you would have to order from Berrymans or special order it maybe from Walmart or the auto parts stores and see if they still have those adapters for the schrader valves or not . The thread size looks very close to your AC adapters so you might be able to try a ac adapter for cars to make it work on the can then slip a hose over it and clamp it after you use a tire valve removal toolon the Schrader valve then slip the hose over the valve stem and do the process of fuse removal and start procedure. The vacuum from the engine sucks the injector cleaner past the injectors and right into the combustion chambers so that's the other reason why to pull the fuel pump fuse out while cleaning so it's at full strength and when the engine stops running the can is empty and you can either call it quits or run another can through the injectors if they are really clogged up bad but be warned they might not be clogged bad it might just be worn out injectors where the pintles inside wear out and leak or the internal solenoids get weak and don't open up or close off all they way or open and close erraticly causing poor performance and fuel mileage .
I've always used Lucas and I'm happy with the results. I picked up a Scion tC fairly cheap because it had a rattle nobody could figure out. I took it to different mechanics and they always wanted to charge me a ton of money for major repairs. One day I ran some Lucas through it and the rattle went away 😂. I'm still not sure what it was but it went away.

Lucas gave me back my original mileage, and runs better at 33,000 miles. By 33,500 miles it gets less mpg after only 150 miles per month on cheap gas. I better use Lucas every fillup with stale cheap gas. What? Better fuel in chevron, mobil? Maybe, but I think gas gets stale. I'll try to keep tank close to full.

I've had really good performance with Techron fuel system cleaner. Made by Chevron Fuel injector cleaner is designed to clean fuel injectors and intake valves at engine operating temperatures. It's not really meant to clean plugs by soaking at room temperature.
I like the B12 not only does it make my engine run smoother I noticed the increase gas mileage when it's in there so it pays for itself on top of cleaning the injectors! Nice video thank you!
@@cezarrodriguez9827 Most Walmarts sell it and much cheaper that the auto parts stores and even through Berrymans so look into it. Walmart sells in such volume that they can sell it and engine oils and transmission fluid quite a bit cheaper than the auto parts stores can even .
Interesting "layman's" test. Not scientific (as you stated) due to some variables. But still a decent test. The Lucas product appeared to do very little, nearly nothing that was noticeable. I've noticed over the years that the STP Concentrated Fuel Injection Cleaner (black bottle) works well as I've never had an Injector issue, ever. Also, wonder about Royal Purple product that wasn't included. All in all though, good test without diving deep into chemistry, product makeup. Hmmm...only one product mentioned P.E.A. Noted that you poured the various products directly from the bottle into each small bowl, as opposed to mixing it with gasoline in a ratio as listed on each manufacture's label. It would be interesting to redo the test with product & gasoline (ratio per label) just to see if results were different. Thanks for running this test and posting video.
I tried out the Redline & it’s a good one I have to admit it’s on the pricey side at $15.00. A bottle .I’ve used Lucas before it’s a great product as well ! They expanded there products. Both the Lucas & Redline are two good products! I’ve heard good things about BG products never tried them ! BG products are on the pricey side . But if something works & lives up to its clam . Well then makes good sense to stick with what works . I’m shocked that Lucas didn’t do that well after seeing this I’m convinced to stick with the ones you mentioned that worked . The Amsoil is one I never tried . They have a great line of Engine oils which I heard where good . Although I never tried them .
The missing component is the gasoline which has its own set of chemicals that combine with the fuel additives to complete the formula. This may explain why people have good luck with the Lucas product. Still fun to watch. Thanks!
Red Line also has the same Fuel Cleaner specifically for the motorcycle, I have 2015 Ninja 300, use that in the fuel tank before every oil change, my bike has 41K miles on ODO, it does RUNS LIKE A NEW, very responsive throttle. Periodicall use of these additives keeps your vehicle / motorcycle on optimum performance level, do like them. Thanks for sharing this video 👍
Gumout and b-12 work great for me. I've used the chevron techron , previously and it didn't make a difference in my truck. B-12 I also use in all of my lawn equipment , I get excellent results immediately
and the pudding cups return! Love it. I would only suggest letting them sit on a white background to maximize the view of the sludge. I understand that Lucas didn't do well in THIS test but there are tests where it was actually put INTO the fuel and run through the engine and it does well. I know it works SO well it completely destroys the dirt instead of it just falling off the plug.
I've tried a ridiculous amount of fuel system cleaner / Treatments and from my experiences I would hands down use the Redline. I don't even bother with anything else anymore. The Redline really does work. Even better if you use it before you have carbon buildup as a preventive / maintenance product.
@Tee Mack, A lot of companies recommend doing it when you change your oil. Probably just as a reminder to use the treatment. I don't see a reason you would have to worry about changing your oil as a direct result of the Redline or any fuel treatment. The 2 systems should be completely separate from one another. Meaning your fuel system and engine oil. I'm a little OCD so I use treatments more often than I need to. If you use the Redline I suggest, Using a full bottle for the first treatment and then I do a half bottle every 1000 to 1500 miles after. And in between I'll use the small bottles of Lucas or Seafoam injector treatment every few tank's because I'm a Psycho lol.
I got some Howe's based on a recommendation. I found out it really isn't meant for cleaning, but more for lubrication, anti jellingand water control. Last week, I drained 1.5 quarts from my water fuel separator and let it sit overnight. Zero water. Im pretty happy with that.
It's good to run Lucas oil as a lube in your gas tank, especially after using a fuel system cleaner. Keeps everything working well. Not as good of a cleaner but definitely a good lubricant and general maintenance product.
For the first time ever, just this year, I poured cleaner into my Skidoo. I purchased "GUMOUT" from the local Crappy Tire. However, oiginally I intended to buy "SEAFOAM", because i've heard from more than enough people who swear by it. I ended up buying the GUMOUT because I did not see SEAFOAM on the shelf. I poured it into my snowmobile wondering/hoping/praying that I made the right choice. And by God, the sled runs like a spinning top! There is nothing wrong with GUMOUT and thank you for reassuring me with this video! A lot of these are just big fancy names. GUMOUT works!
The Lucas looks the best to me as everything is actually dissolved as you can tell the plug is clean and instead of leaving huge particles it completely dissolved then.
That Lucas is more of a upper cylinder lubricant it’s good for lubing up the fuel system and cleaning injectors should’ve used their actual fuel system cleaner the one in the white bottle
Looks like it’s a competitor to the Amsoil Upper cylinder lubricant. I would like to see the upper cylinder lubricant test. The amsoil one claims it helps with corrosion, that’s the selling point for me as some of my cars don’t get driven enough and a gas tank might last me a few months

I just bought my first cleaner for my injectors on my 90K Toyota Venza. The dealership told me they needed cleaning at a price of $250. I purchased Red Line (Amazon Prime for $9 ea in set of 4) after seeing your video and reading some other blogs. I'll be surprised if any change in performance or mileage. But I"ll be watching your channel. Good information.
Hi Keith, If they are really bad then I doubt a 16oz cleaner in a bottle mixed with gas will help much. It's worth a try though. Also, use top-tier gas I'll put a link down below in case you don't know what stations sell top-tier gasoline. Is your engine running rough? I'd take a bottle of the Berrymans B12 you can get it pretty cheap at Walmart and put a can of that in the tank also. I like to put one can/bottle of Gumout with PEA. and one can Berrymans at the same time in my tank, probably about 2 to 3 times a year. Thanks for watching and your feedback.👍🙏🙌 Good luck with your Toyota. www.toptiergas.com/licensed-brands/
I’m late to the party here, but surprised that the techron additive wasn’t used. That is the most consistently highest ranking cleaner through just about everybody’s “best of” lists.

Pretty good video... I think you should've mixed each treatment with it's recommended amount of fuel though for the test. Testing it straight out of the bottle doesn't really give an accurate representation of what it would do when mixed per the bottle instructions.
It works for me. As if gasoline will magically make Lucas perform better. Testing the concentrate alone is still a valid evaluation because you're testing the effectiveness of the concentrate.
Also, bear in mind that formulations vary with gasoline from one region to the next, as well as across different brands as well as between different octane levels, so this further justifies the validity of testing the concentrate in isolation, as the concentrate's formulation remains constant and is not diluted by a mixture with gasoline which may not accurately present what you may use.
Not cutting down the other products, but I been useing B12 on my 2004 F150 with a 4.6 engine with 240000 miles on it,went to put new spark plugs in it,look at the top of the pistons with my camera and they were clean, very clean, that stuff works.
Lucas isn't meant for idle cleaning. It's more of a fuel system and upper cylinder lubricant that prevents fouling and lubricates things. Thanks for the video though.
I was wondering if any of those items need to be running hot in order to work effectively. That being said, I have been a big fan of Amsoil for over 20 years. I use to have a 03, 6.0l f350. I know know a troubled engine. When I changed to Amsoil at about 100k km, 69miles, my first economy went up and the power difference seemed like it was more. I know that seems impossible but it did. The biggest points I can tell you about Amsoil in that vehicle is how long the oil stayed clean golden colour like. It was between 2500-3000 km before it started to get dirty looking. I may have had a Wednesday truck and not a Friday truck lol. The diesel mechanic I used a couple of times as me on my first visit, “ what tuner am I running in it, it runs great” My response was ,” I’m don’t have a tuner in it , it’s stock”. His bulged out and has offered to buy it from me on a few occasions. Is it lucky, or is it Amsoil.?? You be the judge. Thx for your time in making this video. It was evidence. Dino
I've used the three common ones on multiple different vehicles, and have seen numerous different tests on TH-cam. It depends on the method of cleaning, but I swear by the B12 Chemtool when diluted in the gas tank (its the most powerful solvent, hence the evaporation and 'chunks'). It's in a metal bottle because it eats through plastic, etc. @ full concentration😳! But I also Seafoam (half bottle) directly in the vacuum lines (more concentrated that way), with half the bottle in the engine oil for 200+/- miles before oil change. The 'Seafoam smokeshow' proves just how effective it is directly in vacuum lines, but it's not nearly as effective in gas tank as the potent and bargain ($3Walmart)B12 Chemtool. I'm not surprised by the results, especially the weak Lucas. (Their transmission additives are excellent, though) You feel a noticeable difference when using Chemtool (the only solvent here) in the tank even on a well maintained engine, and an occasional Seafoaming in the vacuum lines.
Auston is right. Me and a friend tested Seafoam on a new engine to see what would happen when ran trough an intake system that's brand new and zero carbon/gunk present. Result was it produced just as much smoke as ever, meaning, the smoke you see when using Seafoam only proves that the product creates a ton of smoke under combustion. No surprise there being that Seafoam is oil based where-as B-12 is solvent based. You burn oil, you get smoke.
Austin is correct. Its just a reaction of the product, it's not actually doing what you think it's doing. ie it's not cleaning the engine or what not that people think it does. The age of the internet goes both ways so its easy to get confused. PEA is what works. I would assume products with the most concentration of PEA in a 1/4 to 1/2 tank gas. There might be lab tests done to show which brands have the most. But there is always the possibility of variations per bottle.
Most of the additives seem to be harsh or aggressive in cleaning which is awesome if that's what you need. Lucas, as everyone says, is an upper cylinder and fuel system lube. All have a purpose depending on your situation.
I xan guarantee, cheapest Aceton will do the best in your test because not at 300C test. In engine, the temperature reaches 500c in some spots and the chemistry changes. Only PEA is effective at high temperature
@JD Spears Exactly, that's why we never use acetone in any part of the car. It caused micro cracked on plastics, rubber, polycarbonate, etc. Avoid any cleaner that contains acetone. Some brake cleaner has no acetone, check its msds. There is nothing really work to clean the engine fuel lines besides PEA and their derivatives that works in high temperature. 3M, Redline, BG44k, Gumout, etc. contains PEA. But, I never feel any difference putting those stuff on my cars. Most pre-2008 cars have pinging/light knocking at light load from the introduction of E10 from running slightly too lean without throwing any CEL. All cars after 2008 fits well with E10 and has no problem. My 2015 Prius has no issue with E10, and putting Redline or any additives won't hurt but hurt my wallet.
I think Chem Tool. I took a Toyota pickup to get smog it didn't pass. I forgot to put chem tool before smog test. So I bought CHEM-TOOL put it in drove about maybe 15 miles up and 15 back went back to smog shop it passed. Now I use CHEM-TOOL every time I have to take a car to a smog shop .
I know sea foam and Lucas do best in a running motor, the B12 and gum out uses a lot of ether that's why they do good on this. Seafoam probably cleans the engine the best.
You needed to test the Lucas fuel system cleaner not that injector lube one.All the ones you tested were cleaners Lucas makes a cleaner aswell. The one use tested was the Lucas lub and cleaner to be used at fill ups .So Lucas really didn't get a fair shake on this one.

Totally agree 👍💯 .
Berrymans has a valve and combustion chamber cleaner kit, works good but not as cheap as b12 chemtool

Thanks for watching and your feedback!👍🙏😊
WOOHOO!!!
Try it and your engine will love it!!! :)

Thanks for sharing!
Would of made some good content next time record your test😊
I am definitely a Lucas fan...excellent product & results!!!

Hi Rick,

The cleaners may have been designed to work WITH gasoline. Like pure liquid soap dose not clean that well. It relies on the polarity of the H2O molecule to pull the dirt and grease away from your hands for example.
You could be right, I've done some others with gasoline. Here's one. th-cam.com/video/7lOix8dUAf8/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=WhipCityWrencher
Yes, true, but physically dissolving the carbon by itself is also a good test by itself.
I am also thinking that the heat and motion/flow within a running engine would also come into play.
and heat.

Lucas sucks besides the power steering fix, Redline is best followed by Gumout and Berryman
Good for you
My good friend who swore by Lucas got my SUV truck more gas mileage using it I was amazed ,I still use all the products when needed .
In finishing b12 is the best I've found for injectors and clean carburetors along with the marvel mystery oil, have been using this combination for well over 25 years and marvel for over 60 plus years
Thanks for Sharing👍💯
Great, but holy moley you did this indoors!
I did, It was winter and too cold in the garage.
Great work. I use Amsoil upper cylinder at every fuel up. I run the injector cleaner at every fill up as well but only use it a little at a time. Also their oil is the best.
Thanks👍
From my own experience I bought a bore cam just because it was 70% off. I had some of the spray Seafoam laying around and figured since the carb was off I would spray a @ a 1.5 second blast down the intake runners and take a look. The intake valves had some carbon. As soon as I looked I could see the Seafoam bubbling. It was also "smoking" a bit. I ran the camera in to the valve and it left a clean spot where it contracted.
Thanks for Sharing!👍
Yep, another good way to clean the intake valves and tops of pistons Is to spray it in your intake or in your case carburetor while the engine is warmed up and running.

I've had really good performance with Techron fuel system cleaner. Made by Chevron
Fuel injector cleaner is designed to clean fuel injectors and intake valves at engine operating temperatures. It's not really meant to clean plugs by soaking at room temperature.
Berryman's did MUCH better than Redline!!! But I think THE problem was that the spark plugs weren't too carboned up to start off.
I like the B12 not only does it make my engine run smoother I noticed the increase gas mileage when it's in there so it pays for itself on top of cleaning the injectors! Nice video thank you!

Royal purple is prob the best I've tried. I'm shocked that Sea Foam did as poorly as it did. Bg products are great as well.

I've tried a ridiculous amount of fuel system cleaner / Treatments and from my experiences I would hands down use the Redline. I don't even bother with anything else anymore. The Redline really does work. Even better if you use it before you have carbon buildup as a preventive / maintenance product.
Thanks for your Feedback👍🙏😊
@Tee Mack I never do, but actually, that may not be a bad idea.👍🙌😊

You should mixed it w/ gasoline regular or super unleaded to obtain more of the best results?
I have in some other videos, the links are pinned in the comments. Thanks!
Pretty good video... I think you should've mixed each treatment with it's recommended amount of fuel though for the test. Testing it straight out of the bottle doesn't really give an accurate representation of what it would do when mixed per the bottle instructions.
Thank You,
I do have some more videos coming up with gas mixed in.
Thanks for the suggestion.👍
Agreed
It works for me. As if gasoline will magically make Lucas perform better. Testing the concentrate alone is still a valid evaluation because you're testing the effectiveness of the concentrate.
Also, bear in mind that formulations vary with gasoline from one region to the next, as well as across different brands as well as between different octane levels, so this further justifies the validity of testing the concentrate in isolation, as the concentrate's formulation remains constant and is not diluted by a mixture with gasoline which may not accurately present what you may use.
100% hands on experiment. 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

Not cutting down the other products, but I been useing B12 on my 2004 F150 with a 4.6 engine with 240000 miles on it,went to put new spark plugs in it,look at the top of the pistons with my camera and they were clean, very clean, that stuff works.
Hi Mark,
I like the B12 too, and it goes for a reasonable price at Walmart.
Lucas isn't meant for idle cleaning. It's more of a fuel system and upper cylinder lubricant that prevents fouling and lubricates things. Thanks for the video though.
You're Welcome!
The diesel mechanic I used a couple of times as me on my first visit, “ what tuner am I running in it, it runs great”
My response was ,” I’m don’t have a tuner in it , it’s stock”.
His bulged out and has offered to buy it from me on a few occasions.
Is it lucky, or is it Amsoil.??
You be the judge.
Thx for your time in making this video. It was evidence.

I would think heat would help these products. Thanks!
Thank you for watching and your feedback.
I Appreciate it Greatly, Thank You!👍🙏😊
The smoke coming out after using seafoam is just the naptha and fine oil in the seafoam burning. It's also made originally for 2 stroke engines.
@@tacticalcenter8658 🤣😂🤣🤣 Good one
Gumout Tune-up. Great test.
Thank You R H👍
Most of the additives seem to be harsh or aggressive in cleaning which is awesome if that's what you need. Lucas, as everyone says, is an upper cylinder and fuel system lube. All have a purpose depending on your situation.
Yes Lucas is fule lubricant
@@yehornaumov5893 fule

I kind of thought it was a bit strange to have the lubricant there and not the actual Lucas Fuel System Cleaner
I used Lucas on my motorcycle and it doubled the gas milage " no kidding around" no other cleaners i tried cleaned it as well.
Thanks for Sharing👍
I xan guarantee, cheapest Aceton will do the best in your test because not at 300C test. In engine, the temperature reaches 500c in some spots and the chemistry changes. Only PEA is effective at high temperature
Thanks for watching and your feedback.👍🙏😊
The first video I saw was about a k&n oil filter is the second video I watched and I now am subscribed
Thank You and Welcome, I hope you enjoy the videos👍
I think Chem Tool. I took a Toyota pickup to get smog it didn't pass. I forgot to put chem tool before smog test. So I bought CHEM-TOOL put it in drove about maybe 15 miles up and 15 back went back to smog shop it passed. Now I use CHEM-TOOL every time I have to take a car to a smog shop .
Wow, That's pretty good, Thanks for Sharing!👍
I like Berryman's, been using it a long time.
I know sea foam and Lucas do best in a running motor, the B12 and gum out uses a lot of ether that's why they do good on this. Seafoam probably cleans the engine the best.
using the Lucas or SeaFoam did you see a difference in performance as well as an increase in MPG's?
Great Great Great video. Thank you buddy. Your video is very helpful. Thank you.
You're Very Welcome!
Glad you liked the video I appreciate it, Thanks!👍
Not sure but I would imagine the cleaners are designed to work at operating temperature. A little hotter than room temp and under pressure..
Awesome vid...Nice channel
👍Very, very informative Vidéo, Thanks for sharing 👍
You're Welcome, Juan.
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching👍
If you do another test, 104 Fuel Injector Pro and Liqui Molly DIjectron ( The new version for DFI engines) both work extremely well
Use acetone. It's cheaper, and it's basically the same thing as gum out and the berry.
You needed to test the Lucas fuel system cleaner not that injector lube one.All the ones you tested were cleaners Lucas makes a cleaner aswell. The one use tested was the Lucas lub and cleaner to be used at fill ups .So Lucas really didn't get a fair shake on this one.
Thanks!👍
Great Video, I bought Berryman B-12 right before watching this Video. I'm happy with decision tho. Worked in 15 mins.
Thanks! Glad you liked the video. I have a few others you might like.
