Just wanted to pop in to say....This vid was one of the 2 things that inspired me to want a Streetbob with a 131 motor. And now that I have one, I LOVE IT! And by coincidence, I even have the same exhaust, and it's awesome.

I bought the 2019 Street Bob in February. I am very pleased with the way it rides. Everything is still stock and the bike runs like a champ. I agree that the seat isn’t the best. The bike seems to be very nimble and tears through the gears. Great review of the stage four.

Cool video. I did a stage 2 on my 114 2018 softail - and yes it gives you 100% of the power instantly, in any gear at any speed. Ear to ear grins. 80 to 100, or zero to stupid, right-freakin'-now. Love it! Highly recommended.

I'm a porter at district Harley in Maryland, and I PDI miles on a that same street Bob , and mannnnn, does the throttle push you beyond the seat! Needs a new seat for sure! Stage four, I can't imagine ! I rode a Sportster all my life and converted to a street Bob but I don't own one but man, such a great bike.

  • @jaquesdaniels2964

I traded in my electra for a streetbob back in 2011. I used the spare cash to fit it out with HD QD racks and sissy bar. I bought the leather bags and converted them to QD using "barebacks", Kuryakin wheelie bag takes good amount of gear (I removed the wheels and internal rigid box) , kury roll bag mounts on back rack, so I have decent capacity, which all dismounts easily to leave the bike clean. Fitted National Cycles "Gladiator" windshield. , bike is stage 3 , runs sweet, returns between 44-55 mpg- imperial gallons. When running in the stage 3, I got 60 mpg. 8 years on, never looked back, and don't want any other model-its a keeper. Oh-and wheels were changed to magnums.
    Michelin Scorcher tyres are brilliant.

At the 5:30 mark the Stage IV (blue) hp line was referenced while the Stage III (purple) line was referenced. I’m surprised the Stage IV setup doesn’t make as much toque as the Stage III considering both kits come with POWER cams. I’m sure it has to do with the cam specs?

Basically has the 2010 stage 4 kit equivalent. It’s only $9k. If you could have either which would you choose? The 2010 is almost $7k cheaper than the 2019 out the door.

I used to have a 18 CVO street glide and I asked the same question. What I was told is, there is no "stage IV" or etc. upgrades for those CVOs because they already come equipped with the biggest size displacement engine HD has to offer. Meaning, you can buy a stock softail and get it to a "stage IV" to basically get up to par to the CVOs stock.

You read the charts wrong. The purple line is the torque for the Stage 3. It apparently has the "torque" cam that makes more power at the lower end of the rpms (see purple power graph). The light blue Stage 4 torque peaks at ~5k rpm because the engine makes much more power at higher rpms. You've not even begun to feel what you've done to this thing. At the rpms your riding it, it's barely making more power than stock.

Lots of people put the brembo touring calipers on other models, but HD isn't advertising that they fit. most folks on the forums when they figure out something that works, have no problem listing out parts used!

How different is the cooling on the 107 with the Stage 4 as opposed to the 114? Do the heads still get liquid-cooled? My DWG is in the shop getting a new engine. My backup Superlow 883 is in the shop getting a new belt. So they let me do an "extended demo" on the Fat Boy 114 cause they don't do "loaners". Changing the name makes all the difference. I don't love the Fat Boy but I can appreciate that 114. It's got accel for days. The stock exhaust is deep and throaty without being overly loud. Just about right. And I think the 114 seems to definitely run cooler than my 103. Right now, I don't see myself buying another Harley. The WG is what drew me in and none of the rest really "move" my soul. Now.. if the MoCo would produce a softtail WG with the 114, I don't think I'd have much choice in the matter. It'd be like a moth to a flame.

Harley with stage 4 but still single disc front end. Either absolutely gutless or simply just will not stop when you want it to.

What Harley’s cost, stage 4 should be standard or offered from factory.

to make good power on a pushrod 45 degree v twin and still pass emissions, you are having a laugh, consider yourself lucky you can still buy this aftermarket.

Buckeye harley in ohio stage 2 with work included is 3800 bucks and the stage 3 is 6800 bucks. Stage 2 they are charging for 11 hours of work and the stage 3 is 22. Ridiculous

Looks sweet. I really hope the Moco puts out a "performance" version similar to the FXDXT. 114/117 (I actually prefer a Stage III build for street) dual front disc, better rear caliper, hell maybe even an inverted fork...
I think a middle weight performance touring bike built on that softail platform would sell. The void in the market is there and people are already building them in the aftermarket.
Hell, I might even part with my FXDLS for such a machine.

The one cap tank seems cheap...softail seems to make things cheaper for Harley to transfer for one or another model aka modularity. Idk like Harley but seem to be cutting corners without asking what people want...

I really like that bike man, that's so close to what I'd do in pretty much every way! Thanks so much for sharing it. It's only a matter of time until I get a new softail!

I like the wheels, but I like the graphite version better. Too bad they don't offer it for the Street Bob. I would have to opt for the stage 3 since it offers more power and torque in the rpm that I ride. Do they offer tank lifts for this bike yet?

Just bought myself a new Street Bob damn 14k is okay but My God with all those extras and harley work prices I almost spent 22k in total. Only thing I don't like about the fxbb is the small digital speedometer.

Great looking bike. your comment about how much weight baggers are is huge. you can do all this and still have to overcome that weight. power to weight is always there. funny how we as Harley owners say it is not about the speed and what do we do - add these stage kits to get speed. lol. face it we like the speed and torque. to me it is all about torque. i never get above 4k in rpm so that hp figure is not for me. i would definitely go with a torque cam. i got another year on my 2018 heritage warranty and will switch to a different tuner than. i use fp3 on my sportsters but not sure if is should stay with that on the new bike. we shall see. would be nice to know what you think of all these different tuners. good job man.

Is it advisable to put a stage 2 kit onto a 2015 48? I've been told yes AND no.

I have a 2009 Fat Bob, went with the 96 to 103 stage 4, 12.5:1 compression, Dynojet power vision and target tune, bike is very fast and has gobs of torque.however didn't even think of over heating, so added a fan cooled oil cooler which made it not heat up as fast, but I was going to get one of those love Juggs mighty mite fans, do you think will help?? While running and at speed its around 220, however with traffic it cam reach 290! Now this is the temp I'm getting from the dynojet, so not sure how accurate the temp is, but has gotten so hot its burned off a quart in about 300 miles! Do you think the mighty mite fans will work help cool it down enough? Only thing stock of the engine case basically, the motor runs great, just gets hot quickly and don't want to richen it up, because its already eating up the gas pretty good.P.S. if you know of anyone with a good rune for the 96 to a 103 big bore kit, stage 4, would be excellent! I don't have a dyno, but don't really need one, would be nice to have but the dynojet pretty much tunes itself, just have to put in a base map..I have a map for a 2011 103, but not sure if it deals with the compression...anyways, any ideas on how to cool this bad boy down a bit??
