- Today I'm working on an old traveling sprinkler.
I bought it at the flea market for 30 €.
It took me 10 days to restore, watch till the end to see this beautiful machine in action.

I'm just here to say I appreciate that last smooth transition with the sprinkler arms turning. I see your editing skills. 👍
I was waiting for this comment, thank you !🧐
When you finish with your garden , I waiting you at mine 😅 beautiful restoration as always 👏
Üstad seni buralarda görmek mutluluk veriyor seni çok özledik içerik gelmiyor artık 😁
Thank you David 👍😉
@@OldThingsNeverDie-Do you live in the USA or in a different country?

The hose guide is genius
Indeed ! 😉
We one of those sprinklers when I was a kid. Most youngsters wouldn’t even know what that was. Those were better days, bar none.
I didn't know what that was the first time I saw it 😅🧐
My uncle had one permanently in use in his back yard well into the 1980s. Not considered a relic back then.
My grandmother still uses one, funnily enough.
I always love seeing the Powder Paint turn shiny in the oven.
I’m 50/50 on the one hand it’s cool but on the other of the person doing the restoration wasn’t lazy and just kept sanding and grinding and polishing until the thing was mirror polished there would be no need for paint in the first place
I’m completely with you and I can’t explain why.
@@pavloszimbrakos4410 aw honey! You would get your “oohhhh shiny!” moment, but then the item would slowly turn to rust. Why spend this much time on something without taking the step to PRESERVE the item one is restoring? At least you might be pretty.
@@capers72424 why the heck would that happen? The reason it rusted was because someone didn’t take proper care of it and plus it’s old from the 1900s it was probably in someone’s tool shed or it was some old man who left it in a barn to rust. Plus wear and tear happens after years and years anyway but NOT if you take care of it and make it shiny!
Powder coating and sand blasting are both good to watch. 😊
Very interesting this little machine, it is well thought out and well restored 🤩👍
Thank you 😉
We had one of these, in the mid-70s!
Rescue & Restore would be damn proud were they still around, man!!!!!! Awesome work!!!!
Don’t they still make videos?
their last vid was made 2 years ago. something happened. no one knows what. but every restoration channel like old things never die obviously follow into their footsteps.
@@sollitdude1I talk with him very often and from what I know , he dedicate his time for family now , growing 2 nice kids 😊
Who?!
@@CoolAgainRestoration I’m glad to hear he’s well, always good to spend time with family.
What an absolutely ingenious device, as I kept looking at the groove on the front tire, and it never clicked in my mind that it was a guide for the actual hose. I had just assumed you would just pull the hose and since it has wheels, you move it around as needed(more work than was needed), obviously someone had a lot bigger brain than mine. LOL
Yes, very ingenious. Thanks for comment ! 😊
I had one of these back in the 60's and 70's . Really enjoyed watching you restore this beauty . Thanks 👌
I'm curious, how much longer does the recording process make the whole project?
He says in the video's description it took him ten days to restore this tractor sprinkle.
@@angelbarrios426 But the question was how long would it have taken if he wasn't recording everything.
@@AbuMaia01 hmmm 🤔, well, he used to put at the end of the videos how much time and money he invested on each project, but for some reason he no longer does it.
@@AbuMaia01I think it's better for him when he need to reassemble the whole thing
Beautiful restoration job you did restoring that tractor sprinkler. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work as usual.
Another useful project that is fun to watch it being restored. You did a great job.
That is the coolest sprinkler I’ve ever seen. Great work
very nice work and very nifty machine!
We grew up with one of these, we played in it all the time❤
Never know this kind of sprinkler even exist.
What a cute and clever little thing. The hose-as-guide is so smart. I'm guessing the rachet tooth is to keep it from rolling backwards on an incline.
The old ones was better mechanics. Greetings from Bavaria Germany. Genius work.😅😅😅👍👍👍
Sandblasting is like the pressure washing of restoration!
I love these sprinklers .
I love your videos! I always have so many questions about the process but I just end up in the comment section saying "I love your videos!"
Very nice ❤, that's neat about the hose used as a track for the sprinkler
Yes, very ingenious 😊
Good video, now im going to watch it
I used to have one of these as a kid and never knew that was the purpose of the groove between the front wheels. I just figured it'd go where it wanted. 😂
It’s so cool how it works!
this device is genius
When he paints and sandblast it’s ASMR to me😊😂
Very nice work it looks amazing !! Very excellent attention to detail !! 👍👍
I find it relaxing to watch restoration work. Thanks for sharing!
Best antique restoration chanel ever, I love your hands
Awesome resto! Just the right amount of sandblasting and powder coating!
Very nice work OTND, You must be in a great mood after all that time spent in the cabinet of satisfaction...lol.. You take care my friend and God Bless...
Thank you very much 🙂
Он такой милый! 🤗 Самый хороший водяной трактор, который я видел 😍 He is so cute!
First rate work, and excellent production values. Thank you!
Dan
astonishing job as always!
Thank you ! 😉
Beautiful work, dude! Really well done!!! 😃
And what an interesting device! I want one! 😂
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Nice restoration 👍🏻😊
It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
oh wow i didn't know it could "walk"! much better than modern sprinklers!
Gotten my sandblasting fix for the week 🤤
Beautiful job. We had one of those when I was a kid in the 70s. Ours was green with yellow wheels
That's a mighty handy little unit!
This made me feel old. I remember people using these
You’re spoiling us with all these videos love what you do ❤
Sara anche una cosa vecchia ma è semplice quanto geniale per come è stata concepita...veramente senza parole stupendo meglio anche degli irrigatori da giardino moderni😂❤
What a great day to be early
That's really cool! Never seen one ^^ Nice job!
I think we used to have one of those, was either us or a friend, was like 30 years ago, I forget.
Didn't work great, needed you to restore it.
I'm really good at taking things apart, but I can never figure out how to put them back together. That you can put all of those pieces back together amazes me.
It was not difficult on this one 😄
10:57 there is a big crack in the cog
Well seen, you won ! 😆
@@OldThingsNeverDie- if you were adventurous, you could 3D print a new one with a enclosed printer with heated bed where you could use ASA or Polycarbonate. if you parts with PLA, it's not going to last outside.
That’s too cool, I want one of these now.
Beautiful restoration mister beautifully restored good job well done
Ours had a full body over it. I always thought it was the coolest thing, but it always had a way of getting bound up on something and then just digging a mudhole in the yard.
It would be nice to see a video with all the restorations that you have done for specific periods/years, like a recap and show your collection of what you still have (which you did not sell)
Loving the content man your content is so relaxing that find myself falling asleep to it 😅
What a cool gadget. Excellent restoration.
Absolutely love it
Just love the process 👍
I love it!!! 🥰
It looks real good after renovation 👍👍
Really cool to see you use more and more tools that help you restore! :)
The hose serves as a guide. *Mind blown*
Very good job 👍👍👍
Excelente! Nunca había visto algo así. Gracias por compartirlo. Valió la pena el trabajo que dio. Abrazo!

We had a version of one of these in the 70s called the Rain Train. It had a more enclosed design, but was a great time and labor saver. They still sell a version of it here in the U.S., but I'm not sure how the quality is compared to what they sold 50 years ago. If I had to guess, it wouldn't be that it is as good or better than the one we had.
Excellent! What a thoroughly fun little piece of equipment 😁. Great work dude 👏👏👏. Lovely finish 👉👉👉. 😎
Your work as always is amazing to watch from start to finish, and the end result is beautiful👌.
I thought it was a gadget with a nice design but it turns out to be some kind of garden toy.
The only thing I dislike is you didn't fix the crack on the side of the plastic cog, but still is a beautiful restoration.
A tip of epoxy glue is missing indeed, good point 🧐
Another great video
Thank you 😉
Very nice!
Great job, mate! I did one of these a while back. I turned mine into a hot rod tractor 😂
😂😂
Funny little thing!
Buenísimo 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏!!!!!
Funciona de maravilla!!!!!!!
😍😍😍😍😍🇵🇾
I love your videos!
Very nice video, but even with the translator I have no idea what I was actually looking at 🤔

Ok, everything became clear in the end.
I thought a long time to find the title of the video, not easy to name this thing indeed 😅
OUTSTANDING : o ....
I think the work is great as always, but this is the first time I liked the color and look of the piece before you changed it. As I said though, still excellent work and great fun to watch. Thank you!
Thank you for comment, tastes and colors ... 🤷♂️
Great restoration 😸👍🏾
Amazing Restoration 👍🏻👍🏽👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Wow !!! Coooool ...!!!
It never gets old
I am happy when video your play :))
Get rid of the plastic gears and replace with aluminum and that thing would be awesome.
Bravo ! 👏😍
Lovely restoration job 👍
Great job!
Comme toujours un plaisir à regarder , bon boulot !
Great job dear Dr.
Thank you ! 😉
What a funny little contraption. I've seen similar, but obviously much much bigger, concepts in agriculture, but never considered you could have something like this for your garden.
When i was a little boy we had a green and yellow one.
Restaurado aspersor do trator 🚜😉
great work, i would have done brackets in black but thats just me 😁😁
I already changed the color of the wheels, I didn't want to be criticized if I changed another one 😅
Mükemmel çalışma mükemmel kanal mükemmel sonuç siz gibi kaliteli kanalların büyümesini çok istiyoruz lakin içeriklerinizi çok az atıyorsunuz sizi çok özlüyoruz ☺️
Nice job!
very good video
Brilliant!
Awesome as usual. I'm a bit surprised that some parts were cast in grey instead of the original yellow. I wonder why is that since he usually stick to the original colours quite closely.
I love that you're such a perfectionist. You restore every little thing. How do you choose the material with which you sandblast?
Tge silver wheels and front fork were a nice bit of artistic license
the doohickey has been repaired and is operating at maximum capacity
