The Class 390 'Pendolino' EMUs (WCML)

The Class 390 ‘Pendolino’ EMU is a british rail high speed electric tilting train operated by Virgin Trains in the UK.
53 9 car sets were built between 2001 & 2004 for operation on the West Coast Mainline, with an additional 4 trains built between 2009 & 2012. The trains of the original batch were the last to be built at Alstom's Washwood Heath plant, before it was closed in 2005. The remaining trains in the fleet were built in Italy.
The Class 390 is one of the fastest electric multiple units operating in Britain, with a top speed of 140mph, however the top line speed on the West Coast Mainline is 125mph.
Here is a selection of clips I have of the Class 390 Pendolinos in various different locations such as: Atherstone, Tamworth, Birmingham New Street, Crewe, Preston, Lancaster, Oxenholme, Carlisle, Edinburgh Waverley & Glasgow Central.

One of my most favorite British Railway Trains i really love the British Rail Class 390 (Three Niner Zero) its very sleek looking very aerodynamic and man the speed on the EMU is very impressive, i also like it when its going fast its like being in a Jet Aircraft.

The 3 fastest trains in England has this train in it, the other trains: Class 395 and Eurostar, but it would be cool to see the pendolino on them routes, do you agree? Because they are all nice trains, me, I like the pendolino the best high speed train in England

Tom 1851 well ecml is getting class 800 (801 ) possibly getting speed restrictions raised to 140mph like London to Faversham line

There is one train that goes 140mph in the uk, the javelin goes that speed, I think Eurostar aswell.

VT pendolino goes 125 max but London midland 350 desiros only allowed 110 due to manufacturer

No. I would say the Intercity 125 is/was better. The TGV, Eurostar, ICE, Renfe, and Shinkansen are all better. This is not to say that I don't rate the Pendolino - it's a fast and efficient train....just not the most comfortable.
