Suddenly you become just as “bad” as the person you were arguing against.
A person who can truly admit they were wrong and try to alter their behaviour and world, is bigger than most people.
Most people can’t do it.
If people could honestly do it, most of the worlds problems wouldn’t exist.
People wouldn’t be smoking. Taking excessive drugs. Excessive alcohol. Getting fat.
Being lazy.
Avoiding commitments.
They could look inside. Realise something isn’t right. Try to make a change.
It takes people often years to do that. And just for small things, like lose weight.
Forget having the discipline to go from say, a low income worker, to going to university, taking the time. Getting better work. Or going to a trade school.
Because you have to admit the path you were on isn’t the bets it could be. Which means admitting maybe you’ve made a mistake for the past 5 years.
Most people can’t do this.
Most people get the life they were given, set on rails by their parents.
If you come from money and a decent family, you go to a nice school. Usually go into a nice uni course, or try to start a business.
Usually end up fairly affluent.
You did well by subjective standards. But objectively you did no better than expected. You just rode the rail.

I just wish someone would have an actual counterargument to his statements, that he's manipulating the data to fit his narrative or something, so that I'd at least get to hear SOMETHING of an actual argument being made, but I still have yet to see that (not saying it doesn't exist, I just, again, haven't personally seen it). I also wish I was smart enough to be able to confidently say that that absolutely couldn't be the case, but I'm not, so until that hypothetical person ever presents a GOOD argument against him, I will continue to lean on the side of him being very obviously correct in what he says.

Oh well............

This is how talking to women looks 100% of the time. A discussion with my mother looked exactly like this a few weeks back. They just aren't reasonable, you should never let women make any crucial decisions in any subject.

I love how everyone interviewing Jordan seems scared to let him talk too long because they know they cannot reason against his facts and logic so they have to shut him down before he makes them look even more stupid.

isn't it interesting how Peterson's critics immediately talk about the type of fans he has rather than ideas and arguments that he is proposing. perhaps it's a way of distracting people from the ideas (something critics know they have no response to)
And they even get that wrong, his fans aren't alt-right, the actual alt-right does not like him.
Thing is. I don't even think he does have many fans on the alt-right. Usually they're all over the web like a nasty rash, raving about Jewish conspiracies and White Genocide. But I rarely see them respond to Peterson, except to accuse him of being a race-traitor or a zionist shill.

This is a century old tactic to attack the person instead of the argument to mask that you are actually unable to refute it. Happened to me on uncountable occasions when presenting people with facts, the name calling is almost immediate. Maybe a Pawlow's reflex.

I've read biographies of successful women in business and they have worked extremely hard. Of course there are lard asses in every gender, ethnicity, color, even economic status (yes, there are semi-lazy rich men and women too). I'll agree with Neal Americana that too often the complainers are the ones who don't have the ambition, energy, perseverance, or acumen to do really well. It reminds me of years ago when I owned my own business: some people would come in looking for work and tell me that they have always been interested in business. My questions would follow: have you studied accounting/bookkeeping? No. Do you read Forbes, Fortune, Business Week, Barron's, The Wall Street Journal, etc.? No. Have you taken any business courses in school? No. They weren't really interested in business, but just the idea of being a successful business person; the appearance.
