I saw Chris Slade in CLE when he was with "The Firm " . one of the rarest tours in Rock History . Thanks
Bet that was a great show!
RIP Malc.
Yeah, I saw The Firm too with Chris Slade on drums, good show, but it was a weird night.
No matter how good of a drummer Phil Rudd is his drug problem pretty much ruined it for him.
Malcolm and Phil had come to fisticuffs in 83 after recording Flick of The Switch. Then came Simon Wright and then Slade. I don’t think that it was his drug issue, as we’ve seen many rock stars with much worse additions get away with murder..see Vince Neil. Ozzy has been a mess most of his career….yet Phil got pissed, and did something stupid…but Eddie Van Halen held a gun to a singer’s head and still get away with it? Or chase a roofer who was streaking his stuff, or tried, up a canyon with an oozi.
Phil, still recorded the parts we all hear….the man is a legend. He can play way more than we know, as Simon Phillips didn’t get the drum job for ACDC, as he played too much for the song, as opposed to staying steady. Phil made a mistake, and has to pay for it over and over again? Seems unfair, and not necessarily addiction caused. This is conjecture on my part, but love his playing. He’s as solid as they come, and they brought him back in 95 to record Ballbreaker! So he did something right 🤷🏼♂️🎶🎶🎶
Rock on!!!
Rock on
Malcom is a legendary guitarist for a reason. ❤
@@Kinger1625Phil is a psychopath so there's that!
Has anyone ever questioned Macolm's talent?
