Theodore was the most unique comedian of the 20th century. Up-down, left-right, I do not know how to categorize him. A lotta personal pain in his life- a Holocaust survivor. Simply brilliant, wish I could have caught his act-cannot be duplicated--greatly missed. Thank you Theodore for making my laugh.
From back in the day when Letterman was worth watching; now all you get are "stars". Phooey! Brother Theodore was the kind of guest that made Letterman great. And I love the way the band breaks into "Manic Depression" at the end! Too funny.
Dynamite personality who I was privilaged to see back in the day in NYC at Carolines. I got to shake Brother Theodores hand and have a brief conversation with him.
Yes, Brother Theodore was brilliant and had me in stitches too. TV and entertainment is way too controlled now. That's why it's so stale and predictable. The people making the decisions now have no concept of art or expression anymore.
If you don't mind me asking, why do you specify that this clip is in color? It's from the early '80s, when all network programming from the last 25 or so years had been in color. What would be unusual or noteworthy would've been if it had aired in black and white for some reason.

Pure Genius!

Full colour, and audio quality that sounds like it came out of a speaker made from a bucket, yeast, and an expired slice of bologna
It's appropriate that they play "Manic Depression" at the end.
I loved this guy...no one else like him, ever!

Brother T is not wrong about the meds, people laughing but he says the truth
Just be glad he's on our side. Brilliant and twisted enough to be the real Hannibal Lecter. Helped me get through undergrad (homework hotline).
Absolutely! I bet more people agree with him now...
He's not wrong

Bernie Sanders is like Brother Theodore. And so is Nietzsche.
@LindsayShiree Bro. Theodore should report the global warming "crisis" on CNN.
@gastonave That's funny, because as I'm watching this video, I realize the tv is on showing Letterman interviewing J-Lo.
In color? Of course it was in color. This was the 80's not the 50's or the 60's.
hahahahahahahahaha...ROFLMAO
Brother Theodore for President! We need someone who wont sugarcoat bad news like "The policy had good intentions" Progressives.
Terrible sound quality.
