I'm pretty sure it was accident that Burbs got recorded on a VHS tape sometime in early 2000's but I fell in love with it instantly. I was very young probably in my early teens but I just loved the Tom Hanks movies from the 80's. That movie was the only time I heard about Brother Theodore. A few years back I watched the movie again and I looked up his name and what a character I found. I love his performance.

I really want to see his demeanor when he is not in front of the camera and audience. Dave must have really liked Theodore a lot to have him on the show so many times. I hope that Dave appreciated and liked Theodore's sense of humor.

I wanted brother Theodore and Pee Wee Herman together on Letterman. Matter and anti-matter, dogs living with cats, etc.

Where did you find this interview? Is there a version of "Gums" with special features, or is this from a documentary about Brother Theodore?

If you don't mind me asking, why do you specify that this clip is in color? It's from the early '80s, when all network programming from the last 25 or so years had been in color. What would be unusual or noteworthy would've been if it had aired in black and white for some reason.
