It makes me sad to hear people make such insensitive comments. I love your smooth flawless skin. You look like a beautiful porcelain doll with your gorgeous hair, skin and ,eyes, a perfect combination! What’s more important is that you are smart, well spoken and very wise. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences enlightening everyone and making the world a better place.
Oh my gosh. Just as you were talking about someone saying you are too pale, I was thinking how BEAUTIFUL your skin is!! People can be so rude. In a few more years you will be so glad you kept your lovely fair skin healthy and protected because you will not have wrinkles or skin damage.
Your peaches-and-cream complexion is to die for and I can bet the person who made the negative comment wishes their complexion was as gorgeous as yours is. Happy birthday to you!
Aw thank you, that's so kind of you to say 🤗🍵🌳 It's still strange to me that so many people apparently think it's okay to comment on someone's appearance or skin coloring, but hey, it's their life, their journey haha. It's got nothing to do with me :) Thanks for the kind words, take care and have a wonderful day!!
Who in the world said ANYthing bad about Vera's appearance? She's beautiful, and she has a very pleasant vibe. Besides, it's sweet of her to share these videos and so much of her experience. I bet she lights-up the room around her, brighter than a light bulb - with her presence - everywhere she goes. As hard as it is, I've learned you have to dismiss certain "comments" and criticisms..... sometimes people try to prove that the world is flat so they can somehow make themselves feel better. But Vera, she's uniquely HER, and very beautifully so. She said she won't call the person out, because it's unprofessional, and without taking anything away from what Vera said, I will simply add that I think that the main reason Vera wouldn't do it is because she's classy. Vera, continue to shine wherever you go. The world needs you. :)
I’ve always admired your beautiful complexion. Can’t believe someone said something to the contrary. You are a natural beauty (intelligent & compassionate, as well). PS: Your unscripted video sounds just as smooth & insightful as your scripted ones 🌸.
You might be a " light bulb " but not for the reasons implied by the mentioned comment. You shed light on so many issues that need to be looked at differently.Thank you for a great post and keep on shining ❤
I am jobless for few months (trying to change career path), it gave me a lot of time to observe my reactions, emotions, helped me understood myself. I am feeling so much more life wisdom. Thank you for tackling changing career topic I needed it.
You honestly have such a lovely way in the way you explain topics, there is never any negativity towards things even if it's not something that's right for you. So happy I found your channel ☺️
“Stuff is just stuff”! Absolutely true, it’s amazing how we attach our sense of safety to “stuff”, I’m still working on this at 62!! I feel being older has made me feel a bit more vulnerable because I have some life issues not really sorted but I’m working on it, trying to be gentle with myself and not feel a “failure”❤ thank you
Your skin is gorgeous and I am glad that you own it! I used to hide my legs because they were pale with freckles or I would try self tanner which I hated because of the smell! It took me until my 40’s to finally accept myself because it’s who I am. It’s a lot less stress!
Minimalism and slow living have helped me to know about my real needs and wants. Have helped me to slow down, even if i have a lot still to do and learn.
I tried a slow living approach this summer on a trip to visit family. The drive time is about 8.5hr and normally I drive straight through. This time I allowed extra time so I could stop at a state park or some other place that caught my eye. It was a wonderful experience. Thanks for your channel.
Hi Vera, I have been a minimalist most of my life in a physical sense, I never bought too many things, I never liked clutter, I like everything in its place. I am not very good with taking care of my health, which I have been focusing on for the last few years now, I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer (not to worry I found it early, but it’s stage one and I will be getting surgery this coming week for a lumpectomy) I am a very positive person and the outlook is a 10%. I have seven sisters and my mom and no one has breast cancer so I was pretty confused when I asked the oncologist. How did I get this he said many people get cancer due to stress and busy lives especially here in the United States, I have been working on a better diet, but I need to work on sleep And exercise, so always room for improvement, I just want you to know that your videos are something I look forward to because it is a constant in my life. It brings me peace, and I tend to slow down when I think about your videos throughout the week. 😙 I am actually working on time management also so I don’t feel anxious all the time about the things I need to get done because when I become overwhelmed, I don’t do anything. 🙄 Slowly but surely my life is becoming less stressful and I have to say that you are one of the reasons for that so thank you for all your videos and this channel and of course also your Patreon channel!!! 🌻….have a wonderful weekend Vera! ☀️
Hi Joan! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. You said they found it early, so your chances are good? I'm not sure how I to interpret the '10% outlook' part. Wishing you all the best with the surgery in the coming week. I'll be thinking of you and sending lots of good thoughts and so much love your way. 💕💕💕 Please let me know how it goes.
Cheers to Vera for being yourself and for staying classy in the face of inexcusable comments. You're an inspiration!! (At my son's baseball game last summer, a teammate's grandfather told me I was too pale. It shocked me that he thought he could say something about my skin. I'm an HSP so I absorbed it at first, but I've been doing my own inner work and have let it go with a similar "it has nothing to do with me" attitude).
I felt pain in my heart when you said you were bullied. I wish I was there to protect you or make you smile. I hope you know you are a wonderful human being
Aw thank you, I can feel your good intentions 🤗🌷 No worries, I've always been a happy person and the experiences I've had have all shaped me and have taught me valuable lessons. Have a wonderful day!
❤ I LOVE spending these moments with you Vera! What a beautiful video, full of insights. It’s taken me a LOT longer to come to the same conclusions you have, especially craving positive feedback. There are those who pull others down to build themselves “up”, and there are those who have proved themselves in love/support to build up and provide uncomfortable truths when necessary. They are rare! Minimalism and my health have definitely trimmed my life to the beautiful essentials, and what a joyful journey of peace! Btw, your porcelain skin is luminous and reflects the warmth and beauty of your soul.
Aw thank you so much for the sweet words, and I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed the video! I was a tiny bit nervous for this one, so that's great to hear :) Also love what you shared about positive feedback and providing uncomfortable truths from a supportive place :) Have a lovely weekend!!!
I use to have high paying job . Made me very stressed because of hostile environment. Years of stress took a toll on my health. I became ill . Had to stop working for 2 years. Now I am all better, I don’t have high paying job . I don’t spend as much money on non sense. I just finally able to slow down and enjoy simple things in life.
I'm glad to hear you're all better and that you've made changes that are working out so well for you :) That's amazing!! Take care and have a lovely day!
I recognised myself so much when you talked about hurrying... I still tend to try to get things done as fast as I can and when I catch myself doing it I always ask myself in a funny way "Why are you hurrying?! Do you have an urgent appointment or what's the rush?!" 😅😂 It helps me slowing down and allowing myself to find my own pace.
Thank you so much for this beautiful unscripted video! You did so well, I can't really tell the difference! And a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you! Enjoy your day! And cake and dinner with friends! I am now 78 years old and I find your videos so relaxing and in line with what I have arrived at in my life now. Your inspirational videos helped me a few years ago to really clear out all of my not necessary items! Yay! Love and a big hug from Laara in Canada
Aw thank you for your kind compliments, and I'm so proud of you for making all that decluttering progress!! So happy my videos have been helpful for you all that time :) Thank you for being a part of the SHZ community 🤗🌻
This video is truly inspiring! Embracing minimalism and slow living has made me rethink life and what truly matters. Thank you for sharing your experience-it’s helped me realize that happiness comes from simplicity and sustainability rather than endless accumulation. 🌱
A tan? Really? You’re lovely! Trust me, I grew up in Florida and have battled skin cancer for decades….you’re fine as you are!!! Anyway, you know, sometimes it’s good to go-with-the-flow…be a tree in the forest. That’s sorta me. However, I’m a different tree and I have my own corner of the forest. The minimalist approach frees you to be yourself and not worry about other’s opinions. Final thought….embrace Wabi-Sabi! Great video! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, loved what you said about being a tree in the forest :) I'm so sorry to hear you've been battling skin cancer. It's always mind-boggling to me how much Dutch people want to tan, and how so many people here don't use enough sunscreen (or any) to get a tan. It's like people don't think it can happen to them. I hope your health is good now, sending you a hug! (also yes, I love the philosophy of wabi-sabi :))
@@SimpleHappyZen Thank you for reading my post. Other than skin issues, my health (mental and physical) is great! I’m 61 and feel 31! Retired life is agreeing with me. One of my goals is for my wife and I to cycle in the Netherlands. Would love to do a bike and barge trip. So much to see in that part of Europe. I was stationed in Guam, Japan, and Australia prior to England for 4 years and we loved it. Visited Tasmania, Germany, Belgium, and France. We want to start traveling again. Been in the states for 22 years. Love your channel and its relaxed philosophy. I totally get niksen too!!! 😊😊😊
Oh wow, thank you so much for that superthanks my friend!! I really appreciate your support and I'm happy you enjoyed the video. Take good care and have a wonderful rest of your weekend! Thank you for being a part of the SHZ community. 🤗💕 (Also, the doggy in your picture is so cute!!)
THE SAME!! i just found about 2 part of my natural traits.. behaviors.. through your amazing contents!! 1. im a Highly Sesitive Person an ... 2. minimalism and slow living ... i was always in survival mode due to these!! and the culture.. and i didnt know whats wrong... Thank you so much for sharing, Vera! 🥰 I have been making small changes since December, and have noticed some of the benefits you outlined. I've found it very important to set aside intentional time for rest, silence, and solitude, even when it results in disappointing others. I am saying "no" to activities and home projects when I know my body and mind need rest.
My slow travel rule is knowing 1 thing to do and 1 place to eat each day because I do get nervous about where to eat and what is open and good for me with some health issues. But by not packing every minute of each day, I still feel like I see quite a bit and enjoy the anticipation of food, but also enough time to explore, or linger at places I like, and be in the moment and find new places to try.
I think I will never understand how people can be influenced by ads. Don't they know that ads are only used für making money??Or by things they see in social Media. I never fehlt that way, and all of my friends are the same. I feel sorry for people who compare themselves to others and their belongings. Everybody is unique!!👍
Aw thank you so much for your superthanks 🤗💕 I really appreciate your support, and I'm happy you enjoyed the video. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Happy Birthday, Vera! Enjoy! As a HSP myself and a budding minimalist, I look to your videos to help me stay the course as I am bombarded by all the marketing influences. I have only been to the Netherlands once so I love hearing about Dutch culture too from your channel! Bringing a cake to your own birthday party was very interesting. Learned something new so thanks! You did so well with your first unscripted video! Loved it!
Aw thank you for your kind comment, I appreciate it :) Glad my videos are resonating with you, and feel free to check out my 'Minimalism' playlist, and/or my 'Decluttering&Home' playlist if you want more tips as a new minimalist :)
Your videos, Vera, are like a warm hug--so reassuring! Also your voice and your smile make me feel more calm. I like the points you brought up. For me having moved from the capital to the countryside over 2 years ago made a huge difference in my life. Going shopping for stuff takes a lot more effort and time now, so my husband and I try to take fewer, but smarter trips to town, and, as a result, we buy less things. When I don't have something I can't just go out and get it, so I learn to either do without it or find a substitute. Also, slow living in the village gave me a lot of time to ponder about life, research and learn about things that interest me and made me reevaluate priorities in life. I do miss the city sometimes, but it happens less and less lol. Best regards from a regular viewer in Ukraine! Have a happy birthday celebration!
Happy Birthday Vera! When you were talking about being in tune with your body, I realised I was slouched eating my porridge and changed up my posture. A timely reminder :D
Thank you Vera for the cuppa tea time this morning, I loved it and yes it did feel like a chat with a good friend❤ I have said it before but I really want to say it again, your skin is so so beautiful, as are you ❤
I love your videos! Your soft voice, the speed and clear way that you speak, your awesome accent, the phrases that you use, the relaxing pictures you put up, and the great messages you share! Thank you!!
I'm about to let minimalism help me jettison one part of my working life that no longer serves me. You made me feel grounded and inspired this evening! Happy birthday!
i've been following you recently and i am happy i came across your channel to watch a video. i tend to step away from these topics on youtube because they come with many sponsorships and take a lot of space in the video when the video is about a calm life. sponsorships aren't bad but the amount of weight they take up in a tender video like this topic with many layers. i can relate to what you say and i am learning about my need as i listen to you and as i understand your experiences. also the person that called you a light bulb because of your paler complexion is so rude. that's a stranger, you won't believe my grandmother didn't like my complexion and said i needed to reduce the "tan" on my face and my mother used to call me ugly for having bangs few years ago. people can be so mean. but like you said when we develop a deeper connection with our selves, we start to see from a matured place what is significant to us. slowly the narratives change.
Thanks, Vera! You are such an inspiration to me❤️. Also, I know you don’t care what people say about your skin, but I love it. It gives you a pure look. You have beautiful skin. Enjoy your weekend!
I have also had people tell me directly that I need a tan! Or that I can't wear certain colours because I am fair with red hair. So glad I ignored them - especially when I had pressure to fake tan before my wedding. I think you look great. Not that this should even be a talking point as it's your content that I enjoy and come here for. As I lie here on my bed watching, I even think we have the same wall colour in our tranquil homes. 😂
Vera, hi, I am new to your channel, and I'm loving it. I appreciate that you speak slowly and clearly in your videos. Sometimes, it seems the world moves too fast for me, even the speed at which many people speak. I even slow audiobooks down to 75%. I find your voice calming, and love that we seem to be in the same "gear" in life. I wonder if a lot of HSPs have a very low "rush-tolerance." I want to embrace minimalism and a simpler life. I was a caregiver for my husband for 12 very stressful years, and now I need to find peace and calm. So glad I found your channel!♡
Hi Vera! Good to see you and visit with you as always. I share your experience of feeling left out as a child, and it’s still a trigger of mine as an adult. Thank you for your encouragement on continuing to be my authentic self. If you have any other advice on this, I would love to hear it. (I think Dutch Kapsalon is similar to American loaded nachos…but you can find loaded fries nowadays, too 😊)
Your video content is nourishing and filled with wisdom and thoughtfulness. I always feel a sense of calm while watching your videos. You are a gift. Thank you so very much 🌸
I love kapsalon and I love your videos. I’m trying to adopt minimalism and slow living for a year now and your videos are really very helpful, thank u ☺️💕 I live in Den Haag by the way 😊
Minimalism and slow-living have given me a lot more confidence - much in the ways that you described. I have a greater sense of who I am and what I want from life and how I want to live it, and like you said there is real freedom in that. I now feel OK that I don't want the same things as other people or things that society says I should want. I honestly believe that Minimalism is a tool that strengthens the contentment muscle. You add a great deal to his world Vera with your really valuable content and I would say that is another blessing Minimalism and Slow Living have given you and those of us who enjoy and benefit from what you do.
Thank you so much Chris for being a part of the SHZ community! 🤗🌳 And yes, for sure minimalism helps to strengthen the contentment muscle and the gratitude muscle :)
Very nice video explaining the concepts of minimalism and what it means to you. That word is often used today as most of us have acquired more than we can use. I think the word minimalism can scare a person into thinking that they should own hardly anything. Videos like this can explain it in terms that people can understand.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and yes, minimalism is about a lot more than owning the bare minimum or depriving yourself of things that make you happy. 😊🌱🐝 Well said!
Hi Frida, I found myself in your channel. And it makes me feel that I am not alone in this world. Just thought of leaving this comment as I am exploring all the videos in this channel. Love from Sri Lanka ❤️🌸
The last few years I have slowed down my weekends. I work all week and used to rush through the weekend to make sure I fit everything in. Now I have a better work life balance during the week which allows me to relax on a Sunday morning or afternoon and enjoy life more overall.
You are the light in lot of maximalist people like me, so yes you are “light bulb” of my life❤ you have showed me minimalist lifestyle is not boring in fact it’s more colourful 😊
Thank you for this wonderful video, and happy birthday!! After nearly burning out some years back, I’ve been working on slowing down and have improved, but I just noticed one area I need to work on. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and TH-cam videos and I listen at 1.25 or 1.5 speed (sometimes faster) because I want to hurry it up, I just realized that is another way I can bring unnecessary stress to myself as my breath rate tries to match the speed of what I listen to. It leaves a bit of a high energy or anxious feeling.
Hello Vera :) Im sorry to hear you felt left out in school... I really like the way you carry yourself. You are an inspiration to me. Much love from Norway❤
I like the spontaneous approach. It felt relaxed and authentic. I agree with everything you have said. I suspect you did a lot of editing to bring it all together in such a polished package ;-)
I've been watching your content for quite a long time and I have to say I love this style of presentation! It's still very much you, but it feels like you feel freer and lighter than in your more scripted videos. ❤
It has made my life much more calming for the most part. At my job I would always work OT if they needed someone, but now I only do the bare minimum. I was always stressed out when I was saying yes to everything, but now when I say no to a lot of stuff, people at my job tend to not bother me that much. I also used to stay up really late, which I still do, but I would wake up around 8:00 in the morning or later. When I did this, I would constantly feel tired or in a bad mood because I overslept or never had a consistent sleep schedule. Now on the weekends I try to wake up at 6:45, and go on a short 15-20 minute walk before breakfast. After my walk I make breakfast, and then around 9:30 I will go on a 2nd walk. On my 2nd walk, I will walk up a really high hill at the park I go to, and sit there doing absolutely nothing for 20-30 minutes, and just reflect on life. After my 2nd walk of the day, I will have at least 8000 steps in for the day before 11:00, I will feel relaxed and more creative, and I find I get a lot more done throughout the day.
You have beautiful skin. I hope you will talk more about your skin care and your exercise. I remember, in a previous video, you said the products you used were only available where you live. That’s OK. I enjoy learning about Highly Sensitive People. Please share more about items you take with you when you go out for an extended period.
Number 2 is totally describing me. Still find it hard to be calmer and not worry about being late, for example. I know I'm scared of people being annoyed at me if I'm late.
I usually take care to plan things so I know there's no way I'll be late, even if I take my time :) I aso don't like the feeling of possibly being late, so I try to leave rather early for things. It also gives me some time to cool off and calm my nervous system a bit before the agreed upon time
It used to some kind of tradition in Australia to buy sausage rolls for everyone in your office on your birthday. Who knows where that came from! Happy birthday 🥳 mine is the end of this week too
Thank you for this video, which I as always, really enjoyed. Fitting in, seeking acceptance and praise have been the core drivers of me losing the connection to my true self, to the point where I didn't know who I was, but only who I ought to be. Over the last several years , I'm finding my way back, with getting out of my head and re-establishing the connection to my body being the main drivers. It is sooo much nicer to be me now.
I really had to laugh when you described how travel used to be for you - rushing from one place to another trying to fit in as much as possible! Exactly describes me and my husband traveling. It has taken us awhile, we are much older now - as you said we listen to our bodies! Maybe we need to stop for a few minutes to sit and just enjoy the scenery. Or do we need to refill our water bottles so we can refresh our selves. Or is it just time to go to the hotel for some quiet time before figuring out plans for evening. A slower pace for sure but we take the time to laugh and are more likely to feel relaxed when we return home rather than exhausted! You are so right!
Just started watching your videos and subscribed to your channel. Your whole vibe is so inspiring and tranquil. I have started taking a lot of your advice and it has really made a positive difference. Thank you for sharing!
After literally years of having many a holiday event at my house, I've decided this year I'm just not. I find myself frustrated, exhausted, etc afterwards and it's just not worth it. Time for someone else to take the lead and if they don't...oh well.
Very early in your video you reminded me of something that I had to learn also. I call it "Retail Therapy" meaning I was trying to satisfy whatever want that I felt, correct a frustration, or just make myself feel better about me through buying something. Didn't, doesn't, and will never work. I finally learned to just be okay with who I am. But that comes with the proviso that I am being the best that I can be based upon how I treat others and myself. I'm happy that you learned it at such a young age. Be sure to remember it and it will serve you well.
The one thing minimalism helped me with was decision fatigue and constantly thinking what is were. I used to know before where things were, but it definitely helps when I have much much much less to remember. Or so much less to chose from.
I am very pale and pasty as they called it. Now as an older woman, I don't have a lot of wrinkles and just think of that Vera. You have a lovely complexion and you shine! Bullies are everywhere and me being 6' 2", skinny and wearing glasses, the horrid people had a great time torturing me in school...well I realized they are just people that hate themselves so they were lashing out at me to make themselves better. I am the bigger person and much happier later in life than they are. Keep shining Vera and breathe with Joy.
Dear Vera, I enjoyed so much this video, you gave me a lot of ideas so I can improve my life and enjoy my journey on minimalism, hugs from México City :)
Your videos are helping me so much! I can already notice some differences in my behavior and thoughts, since I started to try to live in a calm and minimalist lifestyle :) Thanks sooo much (I'm also a HSP and you made me realize that 😂)
I realize one thing while watching the photos (of your "younger" self): You was (and still be) very beautiful, but your eyes looked very tired. The same on my photos from years ago - I´m highly sensitive too and had also a very busy lifestyle and mindset (against my nature). PS: Your videos are great, thanks for that ❤
I was amused by your description of "kapsalon," 25:48 because it reminded me of a popular dish here in Quebec called "poutine," which is french fries covered in gravy and topped with cheese curds. I'm also vegan but I haven't yet found a plant-based version of this "heart-attack-on-a-plate."😅 Thank you for this enlightening and informative video, and happy birthday!🎉
I love this video so much! But I just HAVE to say that I LOVE your porcelain skin! It’s just a matter of opinion, and that’s why I’m happy to hear you say that you don’t let it get to you anymore! Because I know that for every person out there who thinks you should tan, there are people out there that also LOVE your smooth, lighter skin tone too. I think you’re beautiful!
I loved this and can relate to some of it. Also, my mom is half Dutch (and I went to Dutch school in the US though they didn't teach the language, which is strange) and she has the busiest schedule of anyone I know. I always wanted to be accepted as well, but I never fit in and didn't want to wear clothes they wanted me to, etc. I was my own person who just wanted to be liked as I was. Therefore, I think that really really helped me for when I started to become a minimalist before the term was coined! I also have been told I look like a lightbulb or ghost. I tan in the summer easily but I get so pale in the winter haha. That's just Dutchness. ;) It is good to focus on what you can control. I think when I went to summer camp every year, I got used to packing little to nothing and it started to establish my minimalism much early on. Loved the old pics of you! Minimalism has changed me for the better because I am not in a rush and feel I get a lot more done without any stress. I hope you enjoy the garden and food!
Hey vera thanks as always for the beautiful content, i was wondering if you could do a video about digital decluttering since it's so important. Many thanks anyways for the helpful tips
"True freedom is when you are able to walk away from things because you don't want them" 💚💚 So true!
😊🧡
It makes me sad to hear people make such insensitive comments. I love your smooth flawless skin. You look like a beautiful porcelain doll with your gorgeous hair, skin and ,eyes, a perfect combination! What’s more important is that you are smart, well spoken and very wise. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences enlightening everyone and making the world a better place.
Very well said. Thank you - this expresses what's on my heart, and I believe on the hearts of many others.
Yes, Vera is beautiful, intelligent, & compassionate 🌸
I’ve always admired your beautiful complexion. Can’t believe someone said something to the contrary. You are a natural beauty (intelligent & compassionate, as well). PS: Your unscripted video sounds just as smooth & insightful as your scripted ones 🌸.
You are one of the most genuinely nice people on youtube.
Aw thank you for the heartfelt compliment 🤗💕🍵 Have a lovely day!
You might be a " light bulb " but not for the reasons implied by the mentioned comment. You shed light on so many issues that need to be looked at differently.Thank you for a great post and keep on shining ❤

“Stuff is just stuff”! Absolutely true, it’s amazing how we attach our sense of safety to “stuff”, I’m still working on this at 62!!
They must be jealous of your beautiful clear skin!
Best wishes for surgery and recovery!
Sending you many good wishes on your healing journey. ❤
Sending whises for your recovery!
May God grant you a full recovery.
Hi Vera! I loved the more chatty video style, I think you did great in challenging yourself 😊
I addicted to ur videos, when i wants to buy anything, i start watching ur videos 😊
Haha yes, I like that!! I also use the 'I don't have a train to catch' phrase myself :)
Yes! So true for many women today. I read “Rushing Woman Syndrome” some years ago, it made me much more aware of this and therefore able to change.
Thank you for your time, effort and compassion. ❤

That's amazing, and I'm glad to hear you've also noticed some of these benefits in your own life 😊🥰
My slow travel rule is knowing 1 thing to do and 1 place to eat each day because I do get nervous about where to eat and what is open and good for me with some health issues.
Thank You, Vera! ❤🎉
Aw thank you so much for your superthanks 🤗💕 I really appreciate your support, and I'm happy you enjoyed the video. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Good point about hurrying. It makes me stressed and sweaty. Maybe I speed up because of insecurity. I am trying to slow down and enjoy the life more.
That's a great intention to have, hope it will be as helpful for you as it has been for me! :) Stop and smell the flowers :)
Your videos are so peaceful❤.. life looks less stressful after I watch your content💖
I love your videos ❤ Thank you 🙏🏻
Love your videos. They help me feel more peaceful just listening to you. Thanks so much for sharing!
Happy Birthday Vera! When you were talking about being in tune with your body, I realised I was slouched eating my porridge and changed up my posture. A timely reminder :D
Hey Vera! Thanks for another great video! Happy birthday as well and hope you have a great day and rest of the weekend! Many more blessed years!
Thank you so much Gerald and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video!! Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Happy birthday, dear friend!!! Loved your video, as always. Have a great week!!🥰😍💓
Congrats, that sounds great! :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I LOVE SLOW LIVING, AND YOUR TIPS ARE GREAT!!!!
MANY THANKS!!!!
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE CRITI
Hi Vera for me less stuff means less cleaning and appreciating what I have that's what minimalism is to me. Thank you for sharing yours ❤
YES both great points and such valuable benefits of minimalism! :) Thanks Cathy
Love your comments on slow travel!😍
Thanks
Aw thank you so much for your superthanks!!! 😊 I really appreciate the support and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have a lovely weekend!
I’m very grateful for you and your channel.
You have helped to chang many lives for peace of mind in their every day lives. 😊
Aw thanks Kenneth :) Maybe I gave some inspiration, but change comes from within for everyone I think :)
i've been following you recently and i am happy i came across your channel to watch a video. i tend to step away from these topics on youtube because they come with many sponsorships and take a lot of space in the video when the video is about a calm life. sponsorships aren't bad but the amount of weight they take up in a tender video like this topic with many layers. i can relate to what you say and i am learning about my need as i listen to you and as i understand your experiences.
also the person that called you a light bulb because of your paler complexion is so rude. that's a stranger, you won't believe my grandmother didn't like my complexion and said i needed to reduce the "tan" on my face and my mother used to call me ugly for having bangs few years ago. people can be so mean. but like you said when we develop a deeper connection with our selves, we start to see from a matured place what is significant to us. slowly the narratives change.
Happy Birthday Vera, thanks so much for sharing your acceptance, benefits, & vulnerability. Eat Cake! 🎂
Haha thank you so much!! Yes cake has been eaten 😁👍💕
Happy birthday Vera! Thank you for your inspiring videos, they have really helped me.
Thank you so much, I'm glad to hear it! 🤗🌳🌻 Take care and have a lovely day!
I am so grateful that you exist Vera !! Bless you❤❤
Hi Vera! Good to see you and visit with you as always. I share your experience of feeling left out as a child, and it’s still a trigger of mine as an adult. Thank you for your encouragement on continuing to be my authentic self. If you have any other advice on this, I would love to hear it. (I think Dutch Kapsalon is similar to American loaded nachos…but you can find loaded fries nowadays, too 😊)
Thank you so much! And thanks for the suggestion, about a video on being your authentic self. Also oohh yes it's definitely similar to loaded fries :)
Love from Sri Lanka ❤️🌸
love the relaxing outro sharing cute details about your life.. so lovely!
Such a pleasure watching this, so wise
The last few years I have slowed down my weekends. I work all week and used to rush through the weekend to make sure I fit everything in. Now I have a better work life balance during the week which allows me to relax on a Sunday morning or afternoon and enjoy life more overall.
That's amazing! So great :)
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE CRITICAL PEOPLE!!!!
YOU DO YOU!!!!
Love your channel so glad I came across it brings me soooo much peacexx
You are soooo beautiful! You are shining from inside!
After literally years of having many a holiday event at my house, I've decided this year I'm just not. I find myself frustrated, exhausted, etc afterwards and it's just not worth it. Time for someone else to take the lead and if they don't...oh well.
Going fast is my biiig problem!!
Thank you for highlighting the struggle!!
Thanks!
Wow, thank you so much for the superthanks!!! I really appreciate the support. Take care and have a lovely day!
YES!!! Less decision fatigue is a big one :)
Food for thought, thank you. As for the rude comment about your appearance, clearly they are just jealous as you really are a natural beauty.
Buying less skin products means I'm saving money and being able to find easily what I need. Happy birthday, Vera. Burgers sound yummy - enjoy ❤
Your videos are helping me so much! I can already notice some differences in my behavior and thoughts, since I started to try to live in a calm and minimalist lifestyle :) Thanks sooo much (I'm also a HSP and you made me realize that 😂)
Oh that's amazing, wonderful! 🤗💕🌳
Thank you for your videos!! I’m so inspired by you!!
I realize one thing while watching the photos (of your "younger" self): You was (and still be) very beautiful, but your eyes looked very tired. The same on my photos from years ago - I´m highly sensitive too and had also a very busy lifestyle and mindset (against my nature). PS: Your videos are great, thanks for that ❤
you are such a beautiful spirit -- inside and out. As a fellow 'sensitive', I appreciate you getting the message out!
Wauw wat heb je een leuk en zinvol kanaal. Ga zeker meer filmpjes van je kijken. Goed bezig!
😂😂😂.. a lightbulb? Well that is something we all use!
You are absolutely beautiful and you spread joy and simplicity! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you. You seems genuinly sweet and kind. I will see the others video and submit to the chain to support you!
Thank you so much, I appreciate that! 🤗 Have a lovely day
Oh my gosh, just when you were mentioning that rude comment I was thinking how beautiful your skin is!!
