Hate to break it to ya pal, but the inline six torque king is the good ol' Cummins Turbo Diesel.
It's so powerful it can pull down a house. So simple and reliable it can be worked on by a mouse. The only engine lovely enough to be a great spouse. It call roll coal and is 10x louder than Steve Grohl. It can pull 20k pounds up a 15% grade, and with the boost from the turbos that power will never fade. Makes the Ford PowerStroke look like a joke. Rocking the house with more energy than Dwayne Johnson on Coke. Old but still classy, call it bespoke. So Ford should chill out before they choke, cause everybody know they don't want none of this here black smoke.

hellyeah. the barras in the Falcons are great. The Barra turbos are neck snapping fast. I got to use them as company cars from 2004 until '16 and was never late for any meetings. Reliable AF and easy as to maintain. Brilliant cars. And the Utes are total madness.

Many years ago I did a V8 engine swap into my S10. That's not unusual. But one day I needed a jump start, and the guy I asked for help got mad when I lifted the hood and he saw it. He did say he was on his way to apply for a job as a corrections officer, kept yelling the engine was illegal, and was gonna report me to the police. Weird.

Honestly the only engine swaps I consider a fail are those that you can see from the outside, like the hood no longer fitting.
A good engine swap is stealth and you won't know until it starts up.

While the model ss was pretty clever rich's name for his car was even more clever.
He calls it the ICE-T aka internal combustion engine tesla

Later, they built ICEs with Diesel engines calling them ICE-T.

Man, I wish they had TH-cam back in my swap days. The 400 Pontiac into a '78 Volvo made for a great sleeper car but the 500 onto an original VW bug was probably the craziest. Also, did you know that on the old VW bugs you could rebuild the tranny backwards and have 4 reverse and 1 forward gear? That was an interesting surprise when we first started that one up. Plus you could blow a pop can size hole in an original VW bug cylinder and it would still run for quite a while. By the mid 90's you would be hard-pressed to find an original VW engine in Manitoba because we had blown most of them up.
There’s a channel called Grind Hard Plumbing Co. that’s done a 2JZ swap... into a lawnmower. May be worth to take a look at if you do another list like this again. They also do a ton of cool off-road custom fabrication stuff
By far the best project I've seen is the one the French TH-cam channel Vilebrequin is doing... a V8 engine from a Corvette C6 into a Multipla to achieve 1000hrsprs (way less mecanically documented but still cool)

The tank engine, called the meteor, was based on one of ww2s best aircraft engines, the merlin with a supercharger attached, powering the p-51, spitfire, hurricane, mosquito, Lancaster, and other planes
Edit: it was originally the merlin, they ripped the supercharger off to become the meteor. Tanks included the Cromwell, Cruiser 8 challenger and others.

I think the red line was 3,000rpm or so, so you need some seriously tall gearing.
Some Aussies did a 55 with a Merlin engine like 20 years ago. The Barra made 1000hp during factory engine dyno testing prior to being released. Mate did a 120Y with an RB30/26 and another has a Mitsubishi Minica with a Kawasaki 1000cc engine.

I kinda disagree. If you've ever worked on a project car, maybe even just regular maintenance, or worked in an auto shop, then you should know how much of a giant surplus of cardboard you start to have at your disposal. Whether you throw it away and/or keep a useful amount just for the hell of it. Just looking in my garage, I already can see that I have a semi-absurd (by my standards) amount of cardboard just laying around. Sometimes I use it to absorb oil and other fluids too. It's a whole ass A E S T H E T I C at this point, IMO.

The Joearri actually works for me, since it was just a body. As a Ferrari fan, I'm actually okay with it. It gave that body a second wind and it looks fantastic.
Not to mention how the man custom-built this car, along with using parts from many other vehicles to make it functional. People who dislike this are those who: will never afford a Ferrari, has never seen a classic or have no willpower to do the same.
I don't understand why it got hate, It was a discarded body. Would they have preferred it to rot away untouched or in the junkyard to be crushed? Joe literally gave it a second life and it looks GOOD.

One if the scariest things about jet engines is that they dont rely on traction like we're used too, they just push you forward until you turn it off.. that vw owner has a scary car on his hands
No gearing on that mf, obvious limit is air intake being the side windows and sunroof, it would literally keep pushing until the bug hits several hundred mph or the wheels fall off. Whichever.
Normal jet engines don't but that VW does the engine used in it is a turboshaft engine from a helicopter basically a larger version of whats in the y2k bike so while it is a jet engine and does produce some thrust the majority of it's useable is from a shaft output that need to be run through some sort of drivetrain to power the rear wheels

Pascal Dragotto a french stunt driver and master mechanic did the same as what was done to this VW New Beetle, but in a tinier car : a Renault Twingo. It's seeable on youtube on his channel but I was lucky enough to see the car twice, once at a racetrack where he showed it off and once at a collection salon where he was a guest (but it was indoors so the car did not run). He used an Alpha Jet engine ;)

I once saw a dragster engine-swapped with the front two cylinders lopped off a diesel locomotive engine, making the world's largest V-twin. I wish I could find that article again.

The Meteor tank engine is quite similar to the Merlin engine that powered the Spitfires. Quite an awesome build!

I was once at a car meet with a 2J swapped 67 mustang. It was painted in the iconic Gulf racing Ford GT40 light blue and orange with "abomination " written on the side skirts. The car was amazing to see and i would have given anything to drive it.

@@Gaminmonke "Handling so much power" is itself a big assumption that disregards how many modifications examples of engines with "so much power" have. A lot of it just comes down to aftermarket support, a Honda K engine can't handle 1000hp on a stock block, it can't even handle half of that on a stock block, and even to break 300hp you need a lot of intake/exhaust/fueling upgrades. When we're talking about completely new intake and exhaust with aftermarket turbo, forged pistons and conrods, upgraded fuel pumps and injectors, ignition coils and plugs etc there's shitloads of engines out that that could also handle "so much power", but that's simply because at that point there's very little of the original engine left. It's like 2JZ people who talk about their engine making 2000hp...on a billet block. Literally nothing on that engine is stock by then, so at what point did it stop being a 2JZ and simply became a complete bespoke race engine?
My favourite conversion of late was the Delorean with the Stinger V6TT

The K swapped Ferrari is actually all a coverup of Mike’s real plan of having a Ferrari swapped Honda minivan so he can get his kids to school on time

fun fact: Corvettes where going to have a 4 lobe N/A rotary in the C4. they didn't use them, because of oil leak issues. there was a plan for the "1989 ZL1" to be turbo charged, but the boost had a tendency of melting the 4 lobe engine.
James James James, k24 is from the crv/accord. Odyssey has always had j35 v6 (at least is NA) except 1st gen with the f series

One of the best swaps Ive seen was a VR38DETT into an M56. The M56 is an amazing looking sedan and having a GTR engine just makes it that much cooler. definitely something that could have been a stock option
